We chose Barleycorn having received quotes from several companies since they were competitively priced and came across as knowledgeable and experienced. We were moving from Ascot into storage, to then be delivered to Broadstairs in Kent once the new house was available. Chris and his team were brilliant to deal with, everything ran like clockwork. They are a super-professional outfit, very careful with your house and possessions, and incredibly quick and efficient in moving everything. We wanted to pack ourselves, so they included a good range of boxes & packing material in the quote. They took apart the big furniture and reassembled the other end. They were careful to make sure everything was where we wanted, and nothing was lost or damaged in the extended process. The team were amazing in manoeuvring furniture through stairs and doorways that I didn’t think would be possible. On top of all that they were all very friendly and helpful. We really couldn't have asked for more and highly recommend them to anyone moving house, they really took the stress out of it. First-class business and service.

Barleycorn impressed us from beginning to end, putting us at ease at the time of quotation and seeing the job through to the end. Chris was amazing and the team were experienced, polite and good-humoured despite terrible weather and awful traffic. We were called Sir/Madam all day and didn’t hear even one swear word from any of the crew. Sounds silly, but this was brilliant for my children and we all felt safe and looked after during what was otherwise a lot of upheavals. The team respected our property and our belongings and went above and beyond to take care with our move. The packing service was super efficient too and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I can honestly say that using Barleycorn removals for my recent move was the best decision we could have made. I have moved many times in my adult life - internationally and within the UK and can honestly, without a doubt, say that Barleycorn are the most thorough, professional and trustworthy removals company I have ever used. They're not the cheapest company (because they are realistic about the amount of people needed and the packaging items you require), but they are without a doubt one of the best removals companies you will find.

Chris and his team provided a highly professional and conscientious service and were a pleasure to spend time with in what turned into a 2 day job with one person returning for a third day to finish off, due to unforeseen difficulties fitting furniture in our new home. They took good care of our properties - old & new. And when a previous house sale and purchase fell through Chris was flexible and understanding with various plan changes and a cancellation. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Used Barleycorn removals as they were recommended to me by a trusted source. Not only did they make themselves available on a Sunday but also did multiple pick ups and did exactly as asked. As we put furniture into the new house, they even helped me move it didn’t when it didn’t fit. Great guys, thoroughly reliable, trustworthy, polite and a great service. We have used Barleycorn twice to move house and the quality of their work has been exceptional. Key things to flag: 1. Their customer service is fantastic. They provided a personalised quote and showed care and diligence to ensure the quote was balanced and fair. 2. They arrived on-time and finished the work as planned. They even came back and moved a piano without charge as we were unable to move this ourselves. 3. All the team were very friendly, supportive and very careful. They took care not to make any damage, and worked exceptionally as a team. You could tell they enjoyed working with each other. 4. They put the customer first - they asked when worked best for us, rather than do it based on their availability, and were able to fit us in around existing work. The cost was very good value for money, and compared with other firms I have used, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. One of the very exceptional firms I have come across.

Chris and his team were superb. From the moment we met Chris, he was professional and assured in meeting our move requirements . On the day, he and his team took very good care of our possessions. We had a long delay due to banking transactions. Chris was patient and when we were able to move in, his team were brilliant despite the late hour after a long day. Highly recommended.
