The Barnet Window Company fitted a new Ultimate Contemporary Range Door to the back of my garage. The whole process from start to finish was stress free. It was so good to deal with a small family company who were always pleased to answer any questions. The staff were always very polite and helpful and kept in touch with the jobs progress. The company combined high quality work with excellent service and at a competitive price. I would definitely use this company again and will be recommending it to my friends and neighbours.

Wanted a new, stable type, back door and couldn't be more pleased with the result. Contacted Barnet Windows to provide a quote for windows and French doors. I’d had a couple of quotes from others and was concerned about the quality and they couldn’t provide exactly what I wanted. Spoke to Tommy (really knowledgeable) who came and did an initial survey. I really wanted the French doors replaced but they’re wider than normal and others had said they wouldn’t do. Tommy said it could be done and the doors are now fitted with higher standard lock/bolt mechanisms, making them very secure. It was looking good. Now go to the showroom. First impressions WOW, such choice. Went for the blinds fitted within the patio doors, they look amazing - everyone is very impressed. The fitting team were exemplary, very tidy, explained what was being done each day. The whole team have been great, I’ve been kept informed all the way. Having used Barnet Window Company a year ago to replace one window and a back door, I was so pleased with the quality of the work that I decided to engage them to replace the remaining 7 windows in my property. As with my first experience, Barnet Windows were extremely professional and highly competitive in dealing with the survey and quotation. The work was carried out over two days by Chris and Spencer with simply excellent results. They worked without fuss, ensuring everything was covered, and left the property clean and tidy. The quality of the windows and their installation is everything I had expected and more.

Sam from Barnet Windows arrived on time, was very polite and considerate. He put dust sheets everywhere, vacuumed and cleaned up afterwards. He asked our views and happily gave some advice. First class tradesman.

Sam the fitter from Barnet Windows arrived on time. He carefully put dust sheets down up the stairs. He worked quietly and cleaned the bathroom and outside the house when the job was completed. The window looks very good and Sam showed me how the window operates. He even pebbled dash to the wall surrounding the window which I did not expect. I am impressed at the way Sam worked. My original window blew outside in the wind and had to be tied with string whilst waiting for the new window. They can take up 16 weeks but they said they would do their best to get it sooner and here we are fitted in 6 weeks! Will certainly use this company if required in the future and tell my friends about my satisfaction with Barnet Windows.

The price which was comparatively good with other local suppliers. The surveyor came to measure up and we discussed the installation would be about 10 -12 weeks from order to fit including the bespoke manufacture. The office gave a date for fitting of the 8th of February. It rained all day that day when the fitters came to install, and to my surprise they worked hard in difficult weather conditions. Two Patio door sets were fitted on day one by Kim and Sam. Both were very polite and helpful. Happy to have them in my home. The quality of their work was excellent, and both knew exactly how to do their jobs. There was little mess, and all was cleared away when the jobs were all complete. My wife and I were delighted with our choice and the quality of product and fit. There was no remedial work needed after the fit and decoration was unnecessary. On day two Kim and Sam were joined by Ricky to finish the other three windows. All went well. The windows and patio doors and were fitted on schedule and in a timely manner with little disruption at home during the fitting. We were very pleased with the outcome and to have such good quality workmanship supplied with cheer and a smile from all the team who attended. From the time of estimation to the installation, all went well. It has been a success, the Barnet Window Company is to be recommended for courtesy, professionalism, quality of product, installation and aftercare. We were delighted with the whole process from beginning to end.

Barnet Window Company were a little more expensive that some of the other quotes I had but this was more than justified in terms of the customer service and the quality of the work done. Had all windows and patio doors replaced and Chris and Spencer did a great job fitting everything, and they even fixed my fence after the storm blew a part of it down. Can't ask for better service really :)

I wanted new bay windows that replicated as far as possible the original wooden windows. Tommy advised on the design options and subsequently the site was surveyed by Steve who did a remarkable job of measuring up, which meant that the product looked and fitted perfectly when finished. Chris and Spencer did the installation which was very neat with barely any disturbance to the interior decorations. They were also very good at sheeting up and protecting our belongings, and also about clearing up afterwards. Everyone I came into contact with at Barnet Windows seemed to go out of their way to get the job done to a high standard. I am more than satisfied with our new windows, they look great.

Chose Barnet Windows due to excellent local reputation and was not disappointed. Chris & Spencer replaced most of the draughty old windows and front door. They were excellent installers, making good where necessary, timely, efficient and respectful. Very pleased with result and the house already feels so much warmer.

The window was fitted on the 21st Nov. by Kim Morris who did an excellent and thorough job, and it looks very nice. I should have done it earlier. It was a pleasure to have him in the house and he was polite and tidy. Overall dealing with company was straightforward and all members of the staff were polite and helpful. We had sliding patio doors fitted by Barnet windows as replacements for the ones that were fitted by the previous owner. The windows were on two sides of the room meeting in a corner and the job had been turned down by two companies we had contacted. It was a longer wait for the work to start than we were anticipating but other than that the service provided by Barnet Windows was excellent and we are very pleased with the result. The installation team were careful, considerate and efficient and overall our impression was of an experienced company with skilled fitters.

Barnet windows replaced three large bay windows. From initial enquiry to the completion of the work, both customer service and fitting team (Sam and Chris) have been both professional,helpful, knowledgeable and informative. The guys were all excellent and took real care to ensure everything was completed to a very high standard. I have just had a new uPVC multi locking door fitted to my house. This is the second time I have had work done by Barnet Window Company. Everything has run very smoothly since the initial visit by Tommy and culminating in the door being expertly fitted today by Kim who has done a fantastic job with no disruption to the wall tiles or floor tiles that were already in place. I have just had a new bathroom window fitted and I am delighted with it. From when I first contacted the Company through to completion of the work I have been impressed by their good communication, efficiency and standard of work. Barnet Window Company installed a window for us a few years ago and naturally we went back to them when we decided to replace the bay windows at the front of the house. Chris and Kim did a fine job, professional, friendly and no hanging about. Some of our neighbours have also used Barnet Windows and we would highly recommend this team!

We ordered some bi-fold doors for our sitting room at the end of June, and were promised a 6-8 week wait; but in the event they arrived in about 4 weeks, and we only had to wait a couple of days for the installation. Most of the work was done by Sam Spencer, but he had help from two other men at times. He was polite and efficient and communicated well; and he worked hard all day, from 8.30 to 5.00. He cleaned up nicely at the end. We're very pleased with the result, and look forward to enjoying our new doors (as well as an awning that we've also ordered from the same company).

Great professional experience from the start to finish. We had a new external kitchen door and two windows fitted. Kim and Sam did a great job on the installation with zero mess left! Barnet Windows replaced French Doors and side windows plus back door and side window. I was going to have all the windows replaced in the house but Tommy Rose, a Director and Owners son told me there was nothing wrong with the windows which allayed the concerns I had on them. His quotation for the work arrived promptly. After acceptance of the quote, which was comparable to another, the contract was sent and signed, the engineer arrived to measure-up soon after. It wasn't too long after an installation date was given. The installers, Spencer and Kim, arrived early on the due date. They were very friendly, professional and efficient, they also tidied up and didn't leave any rubbish at the end of each day of the 2 day work. Everything just flowed through effortlessly on schedule. Claire & Abby in the office were helpful in keeping me informed. I cannot fault the service and the quality of the doors and windows installed. What initially stood out for me was Tommy Rose's integrity at the first meeting because I could have spent money when it wasn't necessary. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Barnet Windows.

We got a new front door from the English Door Company through Barnet Windows. They gave us a great service throughout and we're very happy with the end result and the fitting of the door. There were problems with the glass unit, which meant it had to reordered and changed twice, but each time they were very responsive and helpful.

The work involved providing a temporary partition between the old conservatory and living room, removing the old conservatory except for the dwarf walls and building a new improved conservatory with a thick insulated tiled roof. The work was regularly overseen by John Rose and carried out by Chris, Sam, Tony, Nobby and others. The work was done to agreed time scales and costs. The workmen were efficient, skilled and helpful and a joy to have doing the work. The new conservatory roof means virtually no rain noise, reduced heat from the sun in the summer and I expect a warmer room in the winter. I chose Barnet Window Company for this project as I have previously used them and found them to be a trusted company and expert in what they do.

From our first meeting with Tommy through to the excellent fitting by Kim the whole process has been wonderful. The Authentic sash window looks good against existing windows. On the morning of the installation, Kim arrived on time and noticed our front door was not closing properly, he fixed that problem during the few hours that he was with us. Last year we had windows installed by Barnet Windows at the back of our house, and we are very happy with them. So we contacted Barnet Windows earlier this year, having decided that we need secondary glazing for 2 windows at the front of the house. Tommy arrived on time and talked us through the various options, and the pros and cons. We felt very well informed and quickly made a decision & agreed a price. Throughout the manufacturing process, we were kept informed of the progress and were given a rough date for the installation of our secondary glazing. Nearer the time we agreed a date/time for the installation, and Kim arrived on time. He was friendly and advised that the work would take about 2 hours. He also helped us move a couple of heavy pieces of furniture to enable him to access the windows. The process was completed in almost exactly 2 hours, after which Kim showed us how to operate the secondary glazing and to lock it. We found the whole process very easy, and dealing with the team at Barnet Windows was a pleasure. We are very happy with the new secondary glazing, and shall recommend Barnet Windows to friends and family.

A complete window and patio door replacement. Very good work, efficient and fast, polite and helpful with assurance being ready to assist if any issues arise.

We need a replacement door and door frame. Tommy came to take a look, offer solutions and came back with a quote. We accepted the quote and arranged a date to fit the door. Kim came within 5 minutes of appointed time. He took out the old door, frame and sill. New frame and door fitted. All gaps and trims made good. Kim worked solidly for 8 hours through freezing, snowy conditions. End result was a great fitting, good looking door. There was a minor issue with one of the handles, which Kim pointed out and said that a replacement would be ordered immediately. The replacement was duly fitted on a follow up appointment. We have been very pleased with the work that the team at Barnet Window Company have provided. Very professional outfit which we would thoroughly recommend.

I needed an old wooden door replaced with a white UPVC door. I contacted the sales man who was able to visit my home and advise me on the requirements and send me a quote. I accepted the price and paid a deposit. The company surveyor then visited and specified the exact requirements and an order was placed with the manufacturer. I was then asked for a stage payment which I made and finally the door was installed. At all stages the work was professionally carried out to agreed times dates and costs. We approached Barnet Window Co to renew our old rear bay windows and doors after seeing the excellent job they had completed at our neighbour's house. They were very helpful with the design which we required to suit our Edwardian house and their pricing was competitive. The work was structural but was completed without any problems within one day. We are very pleased with the new installation which looks very smart and provides much improved thermal insulation to our dining room. Impressive and efficient service throughout.

I recently required the replacement of a large lounge window and back door, and choose Barnet Window Company, primarily due to their close proximity to my home. It turned out to be a wise choice as they were both friendly and efficient but also offered an extremely competitive price. The entire process went very smoothly, apart from a slight hiccup with refitting a cat flap, but that was quickly resolved without fuss. The fitter who carried out the work, arrived early (which was great for me, as my wife was in hospital and I had to leave him to it) and installed both items very professionally. I was amazed to find on returning home later, that I was left with no redecoration at all - a wonderful job.

Barnet Window Co have installed top-grade PVC windows at our home previously, and yesterday they installed a new external Georgian style PVC door. We were prepared to pay slightly more to have this Co because our experience is their products are top quality and their after-sales service is second to none. All went smoothly yesterday and we are as before delighted with the product and service.

We had new windows fitted to three rooms as well as patio doors to the living room and bedroom too. Chris and Sam did an excellent job, they were professional, courteous, thorough and as clean as could be expected from such a messy job! The windows/doors themselves are wonderful, of great quality and look beautiful in our flat. It was a lot of work to get done over just two days but Pete from the office visited on both days to keep track of the progress and even added Spencer to the team, a third fitter on the second day to ensure that they completed everything on schedule! There was an issue with the manufacture of a pair of the door handles that were fitted but we were kept informed about the issue all along and April from the office arranged for Andy, their technical guy to investigate the problem the very next day. We have now scheduled in the fitting of a new pair of handles to correct the issue. All in all, you get what you pay for and i really can’t fault the professionalism of this whole company from start to finish of this process- well done Barnet windows :)

The Barnet Window Company fitted a double-glazed window in a study in the house today. It's the second window fitting they've done in for us, and we're very happy with the quality of their work and the product. The fitter was on time, polite and tidied up well after himself, and helped us out with another little job while he was there. A colleague popped over when the fitter was finished, to introduce himself and tell us he's a point-person in case of any issues down the line.

I decided to change my windows to upvc as my frames were rotting away needed changing . So the guys came on time worked really hard from start to finish and went above and beyond to fix any issues that needed sorting. The windows look fantastic. This is my third time using Barnet Windows. As before, from ordering to installation, everything went smoothly, efficiently and pleasantly. Kim did a very professional job installing my new aluminium back door, making good and plastering bits of the surround. We need to replace our conservatory roof, it was always unusable in the summer and cold in the winter and then it sprung a leak. John of Barnet Windows arranged a site visit and advised us of the options that were available. The option that we thought would work best for us was to fit a proper roof, tiled, insulated and plastered. We really liked the idea and we were very happy with the plans that he provided and the quote. By this time we were already impressed with the company and then they came to do the installation. Wow, just wow. The team at Barnet Windows are so talented. The work is first class and they were so tidy throughout the whole job. Each and everyone one of them really cared about the work and the transformation from unusable conservatory to a wonderful space that is now categorised as an extension has to be experienced to be believed. Even in the recent 39 degree heat the room wasn't much warmer than the rest of our house and in the winter we used our new room very often. Thanks to the whole team, we are delighted with the job.

We were delighted to return to Barnet Windows as they have previously proved to be helpful, effective and accurate in the whole process of keeping appointments, responding to any questions and simply carrying out the fitting as and when booked to do so. No changes in the invoice was made. This time we had a pair of new French doors and a new back door in the kitchen. Kim Morris worked through the day to install these; helpfully working round our needs for access to the areas. He finished an hour or so before expected and every thing was cleared away and left in excellent order. In any contacts the staff introduce themselves by name and gave a clear summary of the invoice and payment schedule. We wanted new bathroom and kitchen windows/door. Tommy stated it may take 12-14 weeks for delivery but it came within 8 weeks. Abbey sorted out the installation date. Sam and Chris did the installation who were very polite and helpful and cleaned all the mess afterwards. There was slight problem with one of the windows after job was completed. April helped us out with that. Excellent job from start to finish.

We contacted Barnet Window Company as we wanted to replace old existing windows in our bedrooms. The whole process was easy, they did not keep us waiting, the customer service is excellent. The surveyor was very polite and efficient. The windows were fitted with minimal disruption, by Kim, who was also very polite and cleaned up all afterwards. One of the windows had a slight imperfection, which we had not noticed, but the company have ordered a replacement at their expense, and we were very impressed. Thoroughly recommend.

We asked Barnet Window Company to replace our 1930's leaded window with a double glaze window with the similar design to maintain the original house design. They completed to work programme in the time period they agreed in the difficult times of Covid19 in 2022. They are efficient and completed the work with a good window fitted by Kim which we really like.

We needed to replace our front three windows and as we had been pleased with Barnet Windows services before we asked them to quote again. It was a competitive quote and we were comfortable that they would do a good job so we proceeded with them. There was good communication throughout the initial ordering process, Abby being particularly supportive and helpful. The delivery day arrived and Spencer the installer arrived very promptly. He laid dust sheets over all the floors and furniture in the areas affected. He removed the old windows with very little mess and damage and set about building the new windows, making good and applying finishing touches. The three windows were in place, rubbish removed and hand over performed within about 6 hours in total. All done on the hottest day so far this year. We are very pleased with our new windows. My large bedroom window was fitted within the time scale originally indicated when placing the order, and throughout the process the service from the various BWC personnel involved was courteous and efficient. The actual installation work was carried out well by Kim, assisted by Andy for a while (and also briefly by myself and a neighbour to help raise the window from the outside to the first floor), and the whole job was completed surprisingly quickly - a couple of hours sooner than I had expected. Kim also cleaned up well with the vacuum cleaner when finished. The window adds a considerable improvement to the room's interior and to the exterior of the house's rear elevation. Thanks to April for her very helpful and prompt response when I reported some minor damage to the stairway walls (following an unsuccessful attempt to carry the new window via the interior). This complaint was quickly resolved to my satisfaction.

An excellent experience from start to finish. This wasn't the first time that I had used Barnet Windows and I expect it won't be the last. From ordering to installation, we were really pleased with all our communication with this family-run business. The fact that it was a family run was one of the reasons we went to them to install a new front door. I cannot speak highly enough about them. A gem of a company in the times we are living and what a find. All the staff we came in contact with were very pleasant, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Emails and phone calls arrived when they said they would. Sam Richards arrived to install our new door. He introduced himself and considering it was first thing in the morning, he was bright and cheery, very courteous and immediately got on with the job in hand. We had new front windows installed, in the bay window, upstairs bedroom, and bathroom. Tommy came out to measure, and helped us choose the right windows for what we wanted. Our previous door from many years ago even before we moved in was starting to fall apart. Gave Barnet Window Company a call and the process was pretty flawless from survey to fitting. Had to chase a couple of times from initial chat to fitting as they did seem v busy but it went v quick once it was surveyed. Team was great at answering questions too. Barnet Window Company have recently replaced all of our slowly decaying wooden casement windows with new uPVC sash windows. From the outset they were very easy to deal with, providing a quote that was immediately competitive with a well-known national windows company but without the nonsense of special, time-limited, discretionary discounts, that the larger firms like to use to hide their real prices. The windows were fitted about a month ahead of the originally scheduled date and completed within three days. The installers worked quickly and tidily and we were very pleasantly surprised with how little damage there was to the surrounding paint and plasterwork etc. after completion. Replaced two double glazed windows. Excellent communications via the office and email from start to finish. All staff we had contact with were knowledgeable, polite and efficient and answered any enquiries. We were kept informed of progress throughout. The quality of the product, installation and finish looks good - although we are not qualified to comment on the technical aspects of this. Because of our confidence in the company we did not seek a competitive quote. The price seemed very reasonable to us. Overall we were very satisfied with this company and would have no hesitation is using it again.

A 27 year-old window frame in the loft gable end was removed and a leak between the side panel and sill located. The leak was sealed and a new window installed. Internal access and most of the work took place from the loft stairwell, with external access via scaffolding assembled for roofers. The work was completed as planned, scheduled and budgeted, with the costs of scaffolding covered by a separate, simultaneous roofing contract. The fitter took two hours and also provided additional advice on another window, adjusted the front door hinges and replaced a damaged window sill end plate. The fitter went out of his way to be helpful, was very courteous and explained how best to deal with the leak. I was shown the key steps in the work and could see how the installation took place to ensure it was water-tight. It was a postive experience and a model of professional work, by a company that has done work for us for over fifteen years.

All members of this local company were pleasant and efficient. Communication was good and our questions were patiently answered. A good covid protocol was adhered to. We had all windows and doors replaced by Spencer who worked hard to complete the work to a good standard in 2 days.

Sam, the fitter, was efficient, effective and clean. Once he had finished he very helpfully showed me how to turn a window so that it can be more easily cleaned on the outside. He also cleaned out one of our gutters. This was because scaffolding had been erected for the installation of the window, so he could use the scaffolding to access the gutter.

Barnet Window Company replaced all our sash windows recently. Despite heavy rain on the first day of the installation the work was completed within the week. Windows run smoothly and all interior woodwork completed to a high standard. Spencer and Dave were punctual, polite and cleaned up at the end of each day. We originally wanted a conservatory built but when John came round he gave us the many negatives. He did not try to sell us the conservatory that Anglian tried so hard to sell. When we decided not to go ahead as it would be too small John even said he thought we had made the right decision as it was a lot of money for what we were actually going to get. We really appreciated his honesty in that decision making. We then decided to have a new porch built and new patio doors. Barnet Windows have replaced all of our windows and doors, and have just completed the glass roof running the length of the house on the ground floor extension. We are delighted with the quality of the windows and doors, door furniture and locks, and with the expertise of the team throughout. In spite of Covid disruption, communication with Tommy regarding choice of windows and liaison with Abbi to arrange measurement and fitting was done to accommodate tight timings in between tenants. Steve did a great job of measuring, especially for the bespoke glass roof area. Chris and Spencer, along with Steve, did a superb job of fitting, were very neat and tidy workers and worked very hard, not even stopping when there was a hailstorm! Pricier than some other window companies, but absolutely great value for money as the extra quality is clear in the end result.

After originally delaying the replacement of the bathroom windows due to concern around potential damage to the tiling I decided to go ahead and I am so pleased I did. I recently had a door and window replacement by Barnet Window Company. Paul from the sales team took my order and the door came in several weeks early. I was lucky that I knew exactly what door style and brand I wanted so the order process was effortless. The price was reasonable compared to others I have seen but not the cheapest on the market. I would say the service definitely worth any extra cost. Abby then booked my installation date in and even moved it a few days earlier due to a cancellation. I was then extremely lucky to have Kim handle the installation on the day. His service was excellent and it took just over 5/6 hours to get the door and window replaced. He was able to correct a cosmetic issue caused by the old door not being level. Fixing a large gap around the door where the old plaster ended. The finished product looked superb, no detail spared and I would highly recommend this company!

I have recently had Barnet windows to install my windows at the front of my house. They were efficient, friendly and reliable. When they said they would o things they did and having them in my own was easy and I felt very safe. I was changing a lot of windows which were sash and I wanted to maintain that feeling and the style and look is so completely lovely and modern for a composite I am chuffed to bits. I would totally recommend them to people as I had 2 other people come round who just looked at our area and inflated the price. One even did not give a quote after chasing. Barnet windows were fab!

From designing & ordering my own front door online via an on-site survey to make sure that everything will fit until delivery and installation - it all went extremely smooth and very professional. The installer, Kim Morris, did an outstanding job. Minimal dust, minimal noise, very quick (well, I'd do it a lot slower and likely end up with a tilted door) and after the job he left the place cleaner than how we welcomed him ;-) I learned from Kim that Barnet Window Company Ltd is a small family company, which suddenly clarified a lot, as there was this personal touch to the whole process that you don't find with larger companies. Great job, I highly recommend them and will certainly return if I ever need more doors or windows!

Very pleased and weather proof now with our new windows. Whole process was very smooth and installation (while of course a bit noisy and dusty for a few days) was done to a high quality finish and left pretty clean. Windows have now lived through a couple of squally days and have done a great job, clearly a high quality product and installed with care and craft. There will be cheaper options out there I’m sure, but with two large bays, a stable door and other windows we thought good value and a professional experience all round. Level of making good on completion was better than I expected and all we need to do is paint.

The design options were developed with BWC input and cost implications clearly set out. The on-site survey process worked well and appropriate care given to ensuring the important details were communicated to our Builder. We made some late changes prior to final sign off and these were accommodated in an effective and helpful way. The installation was undertaken in a professional manner and very satisfactorily. All agreed dates and cost estimates prior to placing the order were achieved. If there was a tiny gripe on my part it would be that we had to wait three months for installation... but then again the company is clearly in high demand, which speaks volumes for the quality of the workmanship.

I picked BWC because it is a family-run firm and has a good reputation. There are certainly a lot of happy customers that have posted reviews here. But all of this changed for me when I started to experience problems with the windows they installed in 2016 and 2018, purported to be a 'premium product' and claimed 'to last longer than cheaper versions'. Initially they were very helpful, and would come out to fix the problems under the guarantee. But when problems start to occur even before final payment has been made, callouts under the guarantee happen multiple times a year, and items that are 'fixed' break again within a short period of time or the same problems happen to other windows, there is clearly a more fundamental issue with the installed products. BWC was initially helpful with raising these points with the manufacturer, even stating in writing that 'it is clear that these problems are clearly manufacturing issues'. But this changed as soon as they became aware that it is the retailer, not the manufacturer, that is legally liable under consumer law. Suddenly BWC started to claim that all of the issues - sections of my windows falling off (10 times) and gaps appearing in my 'energy-efficient' windows to let in cold draughts (8 times) - are merely 'cosmetic issues'. I have offered them the chance to retract their assertion - particularly as it contradicts their previous stance - but as they are standing by it I feel I have no choice except to post this review.

We wanted our front door replaced with a Solidor so we turned to Barnet Window company as they were local to us and had excellent reviews. From my initial email to Tommy, Steve surveying, Abby arranging installation and Kim doing the actual install, the level of customer service has been excellent. At each step (ordering, surveying and installation) everything was properly explained and timing expectations were managed due to Covid. On the day of the install Kim arrived on time, was diligent, fast, clean and did a great job. Could not ask for more. Very happy with the new door and I have already enquired out about replacing my windows. In my experience the reviews were accurate and I would highly recommend this well run family business.

I had Barnet windows install a door a few years back. Due to being directly in the sun it's expanded/contracted multiple times over these years, loosening things up a bit. Upon calling up they set up a service straight away and came over within a few days to sort the door. Brilliant service, Andy was great. Highly recommend.

Kim Morris was our installer and he was excellent. Very courteous and conscientious, and made sure we were updated of his progress. From our first contact with Barnet Windows to order a Solidor front door, we were impressed with the professionalism and friendliness we experienced. Under COVID distancing regulations, Tommy visited us to do the initial measurements and to go over estimated costs. Because of the way our house is built and some specific features we wanted retained, we needed a second visit from Steve the surveyor, and we finalised our order. The buying process was clearly explained and the team were transparent about possible manufacturing delays due to the pandemic. The dealings we had with the admin team were all prompt, polite and very helpful to us. The install was done last week. Dave the installer turned up on time first thing, and we liked his approach to the work. He protected our hall with dust sheets and he cleaned as he went along - by the time he left we think our porch was cleaner than before he arrived! He worked through to mid-afternoon when the job was completed, not even pausing during some quite heavy rain showers. The final finish was perfect. We cannot fault the quality of work or the product. We can’t recommend Barnet Windows and Solidor enough.

Installation of a single Solidor front porch door with side panels performed in a single day. The installation was very well planned for Covid safety and the initial installation was performed in a very safe, efficient and tidy manner. There were 2 clear problems with the install: one side panel moved, rubber seal inside one glass unit torn in side panel and 2 moot points: gap inside between frame and side panel and top of door frame not sealed from the outside (sealed from inside). Barnet Windows rectified all issues to my satisfaction quickly and without quibbling, which is to be highly praised in a supplier. The only negative that I have to report is that I do wish that the supplier had applied more thorough quality control to the materials and the installation which may have reduced the number of required visits to finish the job. This is especially important during this Corona Pandemic although I must stress that supplier acted safely and responsibly at all times: mask ..... etc.

Barnet Window Company installed two bedroom windows for us. One was a complex French door with windows. This was done under covid lockdown conditions. They conducted a thorough risk assessment before they came to install. Advance planning was the key to the success of this project. The fitters were friendly, courteous and worked hard so that the job could be completed in one day. While they worked, an inspector arrived to make sure all was well. The work was completed on time, on budget and we are delighted with our heritage windows. They fit beautifully into our period property. The fitters cleaned up after their work was done and they removed all rubbish. I highly recommend Barnet Windows to anyone - we will certainly have them back for further work.

Barnet Window replaced our two fire exit doors at St Paul's Church hall. The work was tendered out and they came in at the best price with the highest quality. There was a considered and careful survey undertaken with all considerations taken into account. The work was booked around a pre-school using the premises. It took tow teams a whole day to take out and fit these new doors and windows. Everything was considered in the fitting so that there was ample fold back of the doors, simple bar exit along with an additional thumb lock. The work was carefully tested and checked. It is a considerable improvement with the added insulation. A friendly and hard working team. Thank you, they come highly recommended.

On the install of a 4 panel bifold door. Scratched all glass. 15 panes required replacement in total. Damaged all frames. Subcontracted repair who sanded, filled, and spray painted in mismatching colour damaging wood grain effect. 5mm gap at top of doors, unsealed at bottom letting weather in. Handle not installed properly. Fittings fitted with half the required amount of screws. Confrontational staff. Non conforming to industry and contractual requirements. Expensive. These issues, in isolation, may be forgivable if Barnet windows would acknowledge their fault and cooperate in repairing as is their responsibility to, both morally and contractually. However they choose to blame everyone else for their failings, to include ignoring emails and behaving dishonestly denying any issues, even bizarrely blaming us the customer for them sending unqualified staff working without care or attention. I asked the managing director for the complaints procedure, he then became confrontational insulting us, refusing to pass it. They had multiple chances to put right over many months, with each visit the issues remained. Thankfully the door manufacturers engineers visited and put everything right in a few hours, highlighting Barnet Windows inabilities. Industry watchdogs, such as Which? Trusted Trader, have been setup to protect both consumers and the industry from this behaviour. Use a different company, you can do without the stress.
