Most of the interior of my house was decorated over the course of a number of weeks. Nick did an excellent job. Works included wallpapering, painting - including lots of wood work, plastering, installing some door handles and my new lights. All work was completed to a good standard, on time and at a reasonable price. Always polite and professional. Nick kept me informed throughout and we were able to schedule the works around my commitments. Accurate quotes were provided and the works carried out as expected. Nick arrived on time and worked with few breaks. The work was therefore completed to schedule enabling me to organise carpet fitting etc. I would highly recommend Nick for both decorating and electrical work.

We got Nick round to quote for redecorating our bedroom and chasing in additional sockets. He was very helpful in explaining our options and gave good advice on how to go ahead. The quote clearly detailed the work to be carried out and the cost was reasonable. Nicks takes great pride in his work which is of a very high standard. We were very happy with the end result and will definitely call on him again. We can highly recommend Nick.

Nick has done an amazing job on our dining room! From plastering our ceiling which is now completely smooth, chasing in a new electric socket to stripping the existing wallpaper and repainting the woodwork. He explained the processes clearly and gave me options regarding wallpapers and paints. He was tidy at all times, courteous and chatty. I am extremely happy with his work and will definitely use him again and would highly recommend him. If I could give him 6 stars, I would.

Nick, recommended by a neighbour, saved our house! Paint neglected for five years and worse for wear after a loft conversion, it desperately needed his expertise. From the outset, Nick impressed with professionalism. A detailed quote and meticulous planning set the tone. He tackled everything – filling, sanding, painting walls, ceilings, and woodwork throughout the house. Dodgy plasterwork, both original and post-conversion, received his tireless attention, resulting in flawless finishes. Neighbours even commented on our staircase ceiling, a stark contrast to their own decorator's work! Nick's talents extend far beyond decorating. Arriving to paint the living room, he discovered half the ceiling missing. Unfazed, his electrician skills came to the rescue. He helped set up separate light switches and even added new lighting in the dining area. The fantastic plastering job in the hallway further showcased his diverse skillset. But Nick's brilliance goes beyond his skills. He has a heart of gold! Our son's old toddler bed sat unused. Nick offered to transform it for our daughter's room. He expertly spray-painted it pink, creating the perfect centerpiece. This thoughtful gesture saved us money and our sanity! The transition from cot to bed has been smooth, thanks to her love for her "new" bed. Nick exceeded expectations in every way. Professional, skilled, adaptable, and a problem-solver extraordinaire, he left our house looking fantastic. Highly recommend!

I was very happy with the work Nick carried out for us, and was very pleased with how he explained to us what needed doing, what the options were and how the work was progressing. Nick also took particular time and care to leave the flat in as good a state as possible in terms of making good after the work was done where it had been necessary to go into walls etc. Nick was very easy to talk to about the work, and ultimately we were left in a much better position both of terms of him resolving outstanding electric issues in the flat revealed by his testing, and in terms of an overall understanding of the electrics of the flat.

This is the second time l have used Nick. He did a good job removing a dado rail l did not think would come off in one go it did. Re papered the room and painted it. Looks good. Moved all the furniture as necessary and the put up the new light fittings l wanted. A bonus.

We used Nick to paint about half the house interior. Then had him back again 7 months later to finish the rest of the house. Obviously we would not have used him a second time if we were not more than satisfied with his work. Very helpful when moving furniture about and adjusting to conditions. Just don't ask for any music recommendations.

Nick was no bother to us and got on with the job, which was completed satisfactorily, on time, and to budget.

Nick is a good worker, obliging to the older customer and happy to help moving. things about. He also changed the bathroom lights for LED type, suitable for bathrooms. He completed the painting in 4 days while keeping a usable toilet at all times. We have used him before and happy to use in the future.

Nick was a nice guy and did very good work at our place redecorating our kids bedrooms. He recommended additional improvements, such as plastering the ceiling and sorting out the light fittings. It's really handy that he is an electrician as well. It was nice to get to know him, he made time to chat, which makes his service more personable. Overall, we found him to be an experienced decorator (and electrician). Has a lot of knowledge to share about home improvement, which is interesting, so he's definitely not just in one box, his service extends much wider than that of a decorator. Would recommend!

Nick was prompt and professional both when quoting and undertaking the work. Gave sound advice and was very polite and diligent and kept the mess down to a minimum when carrying out dusty jobs. The work was completed to an excellent standard in a timely manner.

Initially recommended by our neighbours, this is the second job Nick Millett has done for us. The first being the upgrading of our kitchen lights to LEDs. This job was to re-decorate a small terraced house. Nick has a totally professional approach to his work. He is flexible, works to deadlines and works to a high standard. I have no qualms in recommending Nick.

I recently had Nick in to redecorate my mum's bedroom who had sadly recently passed away, he was compassionate, understanding and very helpful on what I was planning for the bedroom and gave me many ideas on what would work and look good, and throughout the time always kept in regular contact with me as I was at work all day. Throughout the time Nick worked for me I was at work and so I trusted him with the keys to my house and also my bubs, Roxy who is a 4 year old Belgium shepherd to say Roxy loved and him back was such an emotional thing for me that shows that he is very very very trustworthy, and this is very rare to find you are leaving your house and dog to someone. Nick did a fantastic job on the bedroom and I have now booked him again for another room to be done as I know his workmanship and reliability and professionalism and quality of work is of a very high standard... and again this rare to find. I recommend Nick one hundred percent and is totally trustworthy in your house, bonus treat was the great dog lover. For reliability, great job done, professionalism and very good value for money and someone who goes above and beyond their quote Nick is your man.

I recently had the displeasure of working with Nick this year. He has been very awkward to liaise with. Despite providing us with a quote for painting and decorating the house - a job that we agreed in October to commence on the 12th December - we received very little contact from Nick. Several of our requests by text for an update were ignored, and it was only at 3pm the day before the work was due to commence that Nick phoned us up, suggesting that he was 'reluctant to do the job', and on the call he eventually cancelled the work altogether. His lack of skills in managing a working relationship will now cause us significant delays, as we will need to start from the very beginning to bring new people in and get our home renovation back on track. His demeanor was also very poor whenever we spoke, and unfortunately his arrogance greatly overshadowed any of his abilities as a tradesman. If you are searching for a handyman or decorator, do not choose this man as in my experience he will waste your time and cause substantial delays to your works.

Painted sitting room, hall and dining room. Nick turned up on time, did an excellent job and cleared up as much as possible at the end of each day. All for previously quoted price and less time than estimated. We have already asked him to quote for painting more rooms in a few months time.

Nick was reliable, friendly and professional from the first point of contact. The price he quoted was very competitive, he always came when he said he would, the plastering and painting were done to an excellent standard and he left the room clean and tidy on completion. He told me to contact him if I had any problems after he had left, but there were no problems at all. I was delighted with the standard of work and would thoroughly recommend him for any plastering or decorating job.

Nick is a qualified electrician and we have used him for electrical work, but he is also a painter and decorator and we have also used him for decorating. In all the work he does Nick is thorough and professional and works to the highest standards, and he is neat and tidy. We have been very impressed both with his work and his attitude. He is punctual, consistent and reliable which is so important with trades people. He is also efficient and a quick worker. His prices are very reasonable particularly considering the excellent standard of his work. I cannot recommend him enough. Nick painted the whole interior of my house (including walls, ceilings and woodwork) and did a fantastic job. Being multi-skilled, he was also able to help me with some plastering and electrical work which was meticulous. I haven't had a lot of luck with trades in the past, but found Nick to be personable and very happy to go above and beyond to advise me and make sure that the finish was exactly as I wanted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Nick painted our hall, landing, and stairs on three floors as well as several doors and handrails. We were very impressed with his work, which looks fantastic. Nick was very pleasant to deal with throughout and went above and beyond with his help and advice. We approached Nick on recommendation from a friend and found him to be just as good as we were told he would be. Would definitely use again.

Getting a quote was quick and easy, with good communication from Nick. He sorted a range of electrical tasks for me (changing light fittings outside, in the garage, loft) and upgraded a few sockets and switches. All very efficiently done - I'd have no hesitation recommending him or using him again.

BBS Home Improvements had a great deal of preparation work to do including stripping wall paper and wood paintwork back to basics, including sanding paintwork due to the condition. It is the first job BBS has done for me and I found him helpful with ideas and suggestions. The result of his work carried out is excellent. He covered all areas which also included the stairs for protection and also cleared up after each day. The work was completed on time and as quoted. I now have a lovely room and will use them again for other work. I found them to be a pleasant, polite and trustworthy person and importantly felt very comfortable having him working in my house.

Nick plastered my hall ceiling and I'm really pleased with the end result. He was helpful, friendly and polite - and hoovered the hall after the plastering was finished, ensuring everything was left tidy. He finished the job in the time previously advised and as per the estimate. I wholeheartedly recommend Nick - and I've asked him to come back in the Spring to paint the outside of my house

Nick came round to complete a small electrical job efficiently and effectively. He was very knowledgeable about the issues found which made me feel confident about his practice. The completed job was very good value for money. He also helped me correct an electrical problem for my elderly parent over the phone which was very considerate of him.
