We are very pleased with our new pergola. Ordered and fitted within a week. Charlie and his fitters were very efficient and friendly We would definitely recommend them.

Entirely satisfied with all aspects of my Pergola installation. The entire process was smooth and the attention to detail first class. De and Carl who worked on the actual construction were meticulous in their work. Charlie who led the team from design to completion was a pleasure to work with, offering sensible advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble. The project came in on schedule and to the agreed budget. Very happy with the end product and a great addition to our garden.

I saw Yorkshire Pergolas on YouTube and thought they looked good. So we contacted Charlie and he gave us a quote. We traveled up to Driffield and chatted through all the options which was very useful! They looked strong and also attractive. He came down for a site visit and we chose the RAL custom colour to match the windows. We had to wait a little longer for the custom colour but we’re delighted when they came to install it. It matched perfectly! The install went very smoothly. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. I have been experimenting with the roof louvres being open, closed or at an angle. Also the shuttered sliding door look amazing and keep the draught off when fully closed. The blind the other side is a perfect colour too. The LED perimeter lights are great when it gets dark and light up bright if needed and can dim if required. We are very happy with the whole process and would recommend Yorkshire Pergolas!

We contacted this trader because they are reasonably local and a Which Trusted Trader. The service was excellent all the way through from first contact to completion. Everything happened when we were told it would.....no delays! The shutters look great and the fitter obviously took pride in his work. He even vacuumed around after he had finished. He explained how the shutters work how to look after them. No criticisms at all. Not cheap but definitely value for money.

Charlie and his team have been fantastic from start to finish. We had various conversations and video calls throughout the process and Charlie was happy to answer any questions that we had. The team arrived on site on time, they were all absolutely lovely and we are beyond delighted with the product, the quality and finish are exceptional. Our decision to choose Yorkshire Pergolas, Charlie and his team was an excellent choice. From the initial call to the final installation, we were kept informed and the customer service was very professional. Charlie’s advice on the louvre colour was definitely the right one as the lighter colour does not make the house any darker, which was a concern. The installation team were professional and fully explained the mechanics of the product. The pergola is going to change the enjoyment of our outside space, an open south-facing garden which has caused a few broken parasol umbrellas. The pergola is a substantial piece of engineering and the lighting enhances the appearance. The pergola already feels like an extension of the house and we are looking forward to enjoying the space and the shade. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

I made the decision to invest in these shutters as I breed maine coon cats. I needed to open my windows but keep my prize cats safe. I contacted Beautifully Shuttered, along with other companies. The prices came back very competitive, which shocked me as a local business. Charlie came out measured up, I called into the showroom as my husband had never seen them. We went through all the options and ordered. 20 days later Charlie called to say they had arrived, can we fit on Friday that was 22 days from placing the order. Absolute first class communication, service and installation. Carl who installed my shutters was respectful to me as well as my home and a pleasure to talk to. Plantation shutters are an absolute fantastic addition to my home. Can not recommend this company enough. I will be having more. Thank you. Five stars is not enough.

We moved into our lovely new home in August 2022 and found that due to having full length glazing along one side of the house and facing South West the house got too hot. Due to the blazing sun I was unable to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the garden. I spent ages looking online for a perfect solution to solve both problems. Finally we decided on a pergola, but which one? So many to choose from. We narrowed it down to the Vista but needed to see one in person. We found Yorkshire Pergolas which had a showroom, and not too far away. Charlie and Katie were so helpful and answered all our questions, also the pergola was so well made with various options to choose from. Charlie came out to do the survey and made helpful suggestions which have worked out really well. Order placed and within weeks we had our lovely Pergola fitted yesterday. The team arrived on time, were very polite and hard working to the very end. Charlie came along in person to oversee the project and we now have a beautiful pergola, which is of very high quality and shades some of the windows to help keep the house cooler and most importantly I will be able to sit outside when summer arrives and enjoy the shade. After spending years looking at but rarely using our lovely windswept patio, finally the solution! With Charlie's excellent advice we now have an amazing addition to our house. We love our new Pergola. We took our time in choosing what we wanted and we were speaking to Charlie on and off for a lot of months. There was never any pressure from Charlie and he was very helpful at all times. Had our pergola fitted a couple of weeks ago and we are delighted with it. Whole process was very efficient, initially email exchanges and approximate quotes to ensure suitability, then Charlie came to the house for an assessment and confirm the product we wanted, truthful with the timelines about the structure arriving from abroad, confirmed quote and when it did arrive, was fitted very quickly after that. Excellent service, very quick with the quote for the pergola, called to our house and gave us excellent advise on the design and option's available, the estimated time to fit once ordered was excellent and once in stock a delivery and fitting date was given. The fitting team turned up on the day advised and fitted the pergola in the time frame advised to us. The results are excellent, the fitting team are excellent, we cant find anything wrong with the pergola, after fitting full instruction's were given before they left on how to use it with the remote system. I would highly recommend this company to anybody, keep up the great service guys, and hope to use you again on another project discussed.

Had 2 orders, covering 3 shutters, the latest completed in September. Beautifully Shuttered is a team effort, from making an enquiry to measuring, quotation, ordering, fitting and invoicing. All excellent. I had Roger visit and consult on both occasions. What a star man ! There are so many permutations from number of panels, position of mid rails, size of louvres and how they tilt etc. I realised once fitted, what wonderful advice Roger gave to arrive at the combination that was perfect for the window and its use. That can make a big difference. Both fitters, Mick and Peter in my case, appear to be perfectionists, producing a quality finish, working in a clean and tidy manner too. Yesterday we had the pleasure of having Charlie and his team Pete and De arrive at our property to erect our long awaited pergola. I need to emphasis the long awaited part as this has nothing to do with Charlie and amazing his team but another company that we had found online, paid a hefty deposit was promised the world and more regarding their pergolas and we waited and waited!!! When the pergola arrived in what I can only describe as wrapped in cling film and all scratched, the company had no instructions on how to install and the quality of the product was totally sub-standard. They pulled out of the job as they had no idea how to build it. We were devastated but was given Charlie's number to contact so we did, the service, the product, the customer service and communication and the excellent workmanship is incredible especially as we had just had such a bad experience. We were very apprehensive at first having been promised so much previously, but the service couldn't have been more different and the speed that Charlie put the project together was phenomenal and the end result I have to is nothing short of amazing!!! The pergola went up yesterday Charlie did everything he promised and more we are so happy with everything they all worked so hard it has made our house looking like something from a home magazine. Beautifully Shuttered installed shutters to my triple aspect living room including a large bay window and I am over the moon with how they look. They were professional from start to finish and always kept me up to date during the process (initial visit/guidance call, order, installation through to invoicing). I choose brilliant white, wide slats with white fittings. Work was complete within half a day and both Carl and Jack were courteous, tidy and very skilled making light work of my 'out of plumb' windowsill. Due to Covid restrictions, there was a longer wait time on materials but they were definitely worth the wait. I would definitely recommend them; thank you for making my living room look modern light and airy.

We've just had a 5.5 x 3.5m aluminium louvred roof pergola with sliding glass doors fitted by Charlie and his Beautifully Shuttered team. We had a pergola fitted in May by Yorkshire Pergolas. We arranged an initial visit and survey by Charlie who came to our house at our convenience. Charlie gave us good advice on what our options were and what would work best for us. He offered us a wide choice of styles and explained what would be involved in fitting the pergola. The building and fitting of the pergola was completed extremely well on a date to suit us. The team is very professional and take great pride in what they do. They were happy to discuss with us what they were doing and how it would all come together. The quality of the materials used in the pergola is excellent. Charlie and his team were brilliant. Charlie initially came from Yorkshire to darkest Essex to talk us through the available products and helped us decide on what we wanted. The final cost was reasonable for a well engineered product. When the pergola was made, he arrived here with a team of three installers who worked together brilliantly and had the unit assembled and erected in half a day. We are very pleased with the finished pergola and have already had a couple of small groups of friends dining in the pergola who were impressed with quality of the unit.

The work was carried out in atrocious conditions to the highest possible standard. Charlie found solutions to difficult problems associated with the bungalows design. The crew worked constantly for 3 full days to complete the job on time. Since its erection we have had pagolas envy from both our relatives and neighbours. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The pagolas offers a full open air experience when required. The retractable roof provides cover and protection in inclement weather. An major improvement upon any conservatory. It will provide many pleasurable years of enjoyment

He was friendly, polite, very helpful and gave us good advice. We also met Charlie at his showroom in Stamford Bridge a couple of days later, and again he was very helpful, with no pressure on us. We have been looking for some time for two small bespoke awnings to shade two south facing balcony seats, with no success. As Beautifully Shuttered had recently opened in the village we made an appointment to discuss our requirements. After a number of telephone calls with different companies, which included him sending out pictures and drawings, Charlie unfortunately could not help us, as the size we required was not manufactured by any of his current suppliers. However that did not stop him suggesting other manufacturers who could possibly help, even though he was getting no sale. He went out of his way to assist and I have no doubt that if he uncovers a supplier in the future, he will contact us. Unfortunately the Trustedtrader website will not let me submit the review without completing the rating on "Quality and Value", as well as Customer service and as we did not purchase his products we have added a comment on the quality of products on display in the showroom, which looked excellent. Value we could not comment on, as again we did not purchase, or obtain prices but I have completed the value rating as 5 star to ensure the review can be submitted but have no experience of the value. This is a company that is interested in customer service and not just sales. Well done.

We've been saving up for shutters to fit a very large, complicated bay window in our living room for quite a while. Having got the funds, we wanted to make sure we got a company in that would do the best possible job. We looked at some of the national companies but finally settled on Beautifully Shuttered. It's a business local to the Yorkshire area and doesn't involve any pushy salesmen coming round to your house. I contacted Charlie (the owner) and after a chat over the phone, arranged for him to come around and look at designing and fitting a large set of shutters. He was extremely helpful and informative. We settled on a design and placed the order. They arrived and were fitted very quickly, considering shutters need to be custom made. The fitter was extremely skilled, took his time and we're now left with exactly what we'd hoped for. They have transformed our room! Fitted perfectly and excellent quality. I can't recommend Beautifully Shuttered enough and would have no hesitation in using them again for other windows throughout our house. A brilliant company, run by people who really take pride in what they do.

It was a pleasure to work with Charlie Driver from Beautifully Shuttered on a recent installation in East Yorkshire. Despite my being based some distance from the project, after only one visit to check dimensions, all the shutters arrived on time and were fitted efficiently and well. I would highly recommend them.

I was recommended this company by the people who installed my blinds. They could have easily sold me an option, but said that in their opinion, the best in the business locally were Beautifully Shuttered. The sales process was quick, professional and very relaxed. Charlie listened to what I wanted and gave several options that I had not considered. The day of fitting could not have been easier. Arrived very promptly, carried out the fitting with minimum of fuss, noise or disturbance. Installation took a little longer than expected, due to the perfectionism of the fitter, Peter. He had spotted something that 99% of people would not and so needed to return to the showroom to get the part required, hence the additional time. The shutters look great and function perfectly. I would have no hesitation in using Beautifully Shuttered again, or to recommend them to anyone.

Having contacted 2 companies about fitting shutters to a large window and given conflicting advice as to whether it could be done or not with over inflated quotes, I was given Beautifully Shutters number by a local Interiors Company. An appointment was arranged very quickly and on assessment Charlie the owner was happy to fit shutters to the oversized window and advised me on 2 other windows that I wanted to fit shutters too. With his experience he was able to guide me to make the right choice of design for the windows and gave a very reasonable quote for the shutters and the work to be completed. Another plus with the company is there is no pressure to purchase like there is from some companies. Shutters ordered and 2 months later the fitter arrived promptly to fit them, Dave did a wonderful job, no mess, no fuss and they look fantastic. After recently moving to the area and knowing that we required shutters we made an enquiry with a local large store but were disappointed after a lack of response and having to chase them up. I was made aware of Beautifully Shuttered, we looked at the website and were impressed. After a phone call an appointment was made - what a difference in service! Charlie came as arranged and gave us lots of information and advice . We also needed some blinds which Charlie also has a great range of and I couldn't believe how quickly we got them fitted. The shutters have been fitted and the results are amazing, a total transformation to the two rooms that they have been fitted in, providing as much light or shade as required. The fitter took only a day to fit two large and two small windows, he did a great job for us. Everything went to plan, from initial consultation with Charlie to shutters arriving as advised and installation completed to our complete satisfaction on schedule. We had three shutters - for the sitting room and two bedrooms - and they exceeded our expectations in that they all fitted perfectly and were expertly installed in less than a day with no mess. We had used a national company in a previous property but these latest shutters were less expensive, more attractive and with better service provided so would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting a quality product.

I cannot speak highly enough of Charlie and the work that was done. We had 3 Shutters fitted at the front of the house and it has transformed the look of our home. Charlie was a pleasure the deal with from start to finish. In fact we have now decided to have more shutters fitted at the back of the house. Charlie came recommended by another trader. After showing us shutter samples during a consultation He invited us to the Living North show at the York Racecourse. His stand showed a fab selection of shutters, roller blinds and roman blinds. This gave us a lot of ideas and inspiration for our living room and kitchen. He was very patient, offered so much advice on styles and colours from his extensive range to match our decor. We ended up ordered shutters and 3 different types of blinds, His estimation for delivery and fitting was honest and accurate and Roger did an excellent job installing the products. We are absolutely thrilled with the results, high quality and great value for money. We will be calling Charlie again and can not recommend enough.

Charlie made choosing the style and colours of the blinds and shutters a straightforward process at the outset when we were deciding which to order. As soon as they were available a date was set to install them, and the result was a beautiful set of shutters and blinds that blended in perfectly with our existing decor in each of the rooms. The shutters do a great job of keeping the rooms from getting hot when there is direct sunshine coming in, as well as being a lot easier to keep clean than curtains. They also allow continuously variable control of how much light to let in as well as choose how much privacy there is for looking in from outside.

From arranging to visit the showroom to the completion of the work the service was excellent with everything happening on time. The advice we got on the various types of shutters available was clear and relevant to our needs. Fitting was quick and efficient and the shutters themselves are well made, operate smoothly and are exactly what we wanted.

Saw the website for Beautifully Shuttered whilst searching for a local supplier. Was struck by Charlie's video about his company and on the strength of this we booked a visit to the showroom. We were not disappointed by the advice provided and following a visit to our house, during which all our questions were answered, we decided to proceed. Probably not the cheapest, but you often get what you pay for and the customer service and the quality of the product on offer was what secured our order - two Bay Windows and both windows in the Bathroom. The shutters arrived on time and although our fitting was slightly delayed due to a staff illness (and a very apologetic Charlie) we had them installed last week and we think they are great. Our first shutters but the quality of the shutters and the standard of fitting is excellent.

I can highly recommend Charlie driver and his company. My windows were very challenging to shutter due to the fact that my home is a historic barn with unevenly shaped, non-standard arch windows. We are so thrilled with our shutters. We got a few quotes but I knew immediately that I wanted to get our shutters from Charlie within the first ten minutes of meeting him. It was only when he came out to do our free quote that I realised Charlie talked about and noticed things that the other companies did not with regards to the design of the shutters. He also suggested that I did two different windows initially than the ones I had chosen as then everything would also match from the front of the house.... I had not even thought of this and neither had the other companies. His quote was then very reasonable and either cheaper or in line with the other companies. He gave advice when I asked for it without being a pushy salesman and he was very professional, friendly and approachable. Charlie kept me updated about the arrrival of the shutters and they actually arrived slightly early. They were fitted within 48 hours of them arriving with Charlie and the fitter, Roger, was also superb! The quanlity is amazing, they fit perfectly and Roger tidies everything away and left the room as he had found it - except with beautiful shutters. After moving into a flat with an unusual shaped window I was worried I wouldn't find anyone who would be able to make blinds that fit. Shutters represent a considerable investment so absolute confidence in our supplier was essential to us. Charlie was one of three companies I approached for advice and a quotation. Whilst all the prices were pretty similar, I chose Charlie for his expertise. The others seemed to find a particular window somewhat challenging, but he was able to show me examples of very similar windows he has worked on that fitted the bill exactly making it an easy choice. Charlie and his fitter Paul arrived promptly (and before Christmas as promised) and worked calmly and professionally to produce meticulous results that are absolutely stunning. (And as for tidying up after themselves the house was cleaner after they had gone than it was before they came ... cheers Charlie!) Had 11 shutters installed last week. Charlie advised me to have a mid rail (another shutter company did not) and I would've been so unhappy if I hadn't. Having a mid rail allows me to open the top shutters but keep the bottom ones closed. It would've been a very big mistake not to have the mid rail. Andy the fitter did a great job and was very neat and tidy. He also had a new assistant with him who seemed very able and pleasant. Charlie came half way through to help and make sure all was progressing well. Everything was pristine when they left. After I saw how great they looked I asked Charlie to send me ideas for shutters om the last 2 remaining window and patio doors in the house!
