I had my guttering, soffits, facias and the felt on my front bay replaced. When inspecting my property to give me a quote Jonathan was upfront and honest gave me lots of options and did not pressurise me into something I did not want to have done. The estimate came through promptly and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to fit me in. Jonathan and his team were even able to come a few days earlier than expected to start the work, due to them having finished another job earlier than expected which was brilliant. They were prompt efficient clean and tidy. When I had an issue a few days later, I spoke to Jonathan and explained the problem, he was happy to come straight away and resolve the situation. Prompt, competitive estimate for repair works to lead flashing, verges and defective tiles. Great communication and arrived when expected to complete the job. They explained everything they had done and offered to come back to investigate further, if the replacement of the tiles doesn’t solve the problem. Efficient and reliable, would definitely recommend.

We had several quotes to replace the gutters, fascia, soffits and removing and redirecting a downpipe. Jonathan gave us honest advice and guidance with regards to carrying out only the work that was absolutely necessary. The team arrived earlier than arranged as the rain was predicted for later that day. They worked efficiently and finished most of the work by mid-afternoon. They came back the next day for a couple of hours and completed the job to a very high standard within the specified timescale. The driveway was cleared of all debris and left very clean. A first-class service from start to finish – very impressed! The soffits, fascia and gutters look great too! Absolutely no hesitation in recommending!

Jonathan was friendly, dependable and efficient. He clearly also acted in my interest in order to ensure that his knowledge and experience resulted in me only having the repairs which were necessary, rather than racking up a big bill. It's uncommon in this day and age to feel that you can trust a trader to ensure that you get a robust repair whilst also keeping the costs down, but that's what we got from Jonathan, and so I would have no hesitation at all in recommending him.

I had a tricky problem with gutter overflow in these thunderstorms of late, with water getting inside the windows. Bennett’s came and discussed the problem with me and proposed a solution. When they were up and replacing the gutters they found an additional problem that they then fixed. There was no extra charge and their concern was clearly to do the job properly for me. They were on time, and they were supported by efficient and pleasant office staff who were a pleasure to deal with.

This is the first time my roof got a problem in the past ten years time. My roof is leaking during the downpour this summer. I called Bennett & Sons on 5 July. Jonathan and his helper came to inspect on Friday, 9 July and had a free estimation. They inspected both indoor and outside on the roof top. He recommends the work include replacing a few valley tiles, ridge tile repointing, and refit some broken and missing tiles on the roof. The quotation came on Monday, 12 July by email that the price is reasonable. I agreed on the quote and called to schedule the repair work on 16 July. Jonathan and his team of two workers came today and worked professionally under the heat and managed to finish the job with high standard. Before they leave, Jonathan provided me such a brilliant idea, that is to use a pencil to draw on the wall following the water mark. It will help to prove whether the leaking problem is 100% fixed (if the size of the water mark didn't increase) This is the first time I use Bennett & Sons. Thank you Bennett & Sons. We have used Bennett & Sons on a number of occasions and find them to be a professional company. We called them initially for a quote for a chimney stack and at the same time asked for a quote for replacement fasciae, soffits and gutters which we instructed them to carry out. First class job - highly recommended.

Was not the cheapest quote I had, but certainly the most professional. John came and assessed the work and I had a written quote by email the following day. The old roof was completely removed and a new roof using Redland 49 interlocking tiles was installed. A team of 4 roofers arrived promptly and worked throughout the day. They arranged the skip and the scaffolding. On the first day, the old roof was removed and a new membrane installed. By the end of the second day, the new roof was pretty much complete, and only a few finishing touches were needed so that everything was finished by lunchtime on the third day. They also fixed a crack in the back wall, for which they didn't charge extra! I had used this company before to clean my gutters and was pleased with the service, which is why I turned to them to do this rather large job. I have already recommended them to one of my neighbours.

Called them to get a quote to repair a roof leak. They came early next day and easily identified the issue and fixed it which was such a relief as another roofing company had quoted us £1,800 to repair the leak. They did not charge for this even though we were willing to pay. Found them to be very helpful and honest and would highly recommend them.

Arranging the appointment was easy and quick. Jonathan visited to look at some faulty guttering at the front and back of our property. He instantly saw that the guttering at the back required a quick fix and went ahead and fixed it. I was happy to pay as they did come out to us. He said he would not charge. He then proceeded to carefully check the front, told us what the solution would be and said he would send a quote on email. Made the whole process painless and easy. They have done work on our roof previously and I have found them to be trustworthy and efficient.

The job was to reinsert part of some lead flashing that had come away from a chimney stack and to repoint it. I got 3 quotes (all from Trusted Traders), Bennett and son weren’t the cheapest but neither the most expensive. I was happy to accept their quote because I wanted someone with a 5 star review even though it was more than I expected for a small job. They actually did the job twice and this is my amended review. The reason is that the first time they did the job they used lead sealant instead of mortar to repoint the lead flashing into place. This looked odd being a mixture of sealant and existing mortar here and there and I mentioned this in my initial review. Very soon after my review was published Mr Bennet called me and asked if he could correct the work. Although I now wasn’t bothered he preferred to leave me a happy customer. His team came by today and took out the sealant and removed the existing mortar along the length of the stepped flashing and replaced it with new mortar making it look consistent. So, I would recommend them and use them again. The workers that did the job were very polite and professional. A couple of things to note - Mixing lead sealant and mortar for pointing a line doesn't look good, stick to mortar if that's what you have already or replace the entire line with sealant. - The person that comes to look at and estimate the job is not necessarily the person that does the job. - If you are unhappy with the work carried out then let Mr Bennett know, he will try to make you a happy customer.

I've had a leak from the roof for a while but it isn't clear where the leak is. The service from calling Bennett & Sons to make an appointment, through to them visiting on time and offering advice was great. Jonathan inspected the roof and identified a few possible causes and advised how I could resolve by myself by buying some sealant and applying. There was a crack in one of the tiles which could have been the cause but would have required taking quite a lot if tiles out. He sealed the crack and asked to monitor. He wasn't at the house for long and I didn't know how much he would charge. I would have expected him to charge £20-30 for the work but to my surprise he offered to take no payment! Will definitely call him back if I need some roofing work done.

I've used Bennett & Sons numerous times and on each occasion their work has been of a very high standard and met what it set out to do. Jonathan, Shane and the rest of the team are friendly, both diagnosing issues and making sure the right work is completed as specified. On occasions they have had the opportunity to do more than what's needed but every time they present the options, recommending what is required. I had a leak coming though a Velux window on my rear pitched roof. Bennett & Sons detected this to be a possible leak through a gap between the flashing and rear wall or screw fixing on the Velux window itself. They applied silicone to the wall and Velux and this appears to have fixed the problem. Also, noticed a few days later that guttering on the roof was leaking on to the Velux window when heavy rain was falling. They came back and cleared the gutter and re-secured. I had previously had a quote from another roofing company to fix the roof (they recommended jet washing the tiles) which was unnecessary and would have cost me hundreds! This company is very reasonable and do not create unnecessary work. Would highly recommend.

My gutters were leaking and i thought it needed cleaning or worse replacing but when inspected by Jonathan, he found that the down-pipe had a blockage which was causing the leak. When the blockage was cleared (didn't even charge me as he felt he hadn't done any work) and tested by pouring a bucket of water, there was no leak and so cleaning or replacement was not needed. I was extremely impressed by Jonathan's honesty and professionalism, arrived within the given time slot, highly recommended, will certainly use them again.

My down pipe came off the wall following the high winds, so I asked for a quote for that repair plus having my gutters cleared. The quote process was very quick and then booking in for the small job was very easy and quick. The down pipe was fixed quickly and efficiently. I was extremely impressed with the honesty - my gutters were clear and didn't need cleaning. I was told this and wasn't invoiced for something that didn't need doing. Very honest.

Wayne, Jonathan and Siobhan are a truly professional team. We had a new extension completed with sub-standard workmanship and the wrong materials used, to the extent we needed the existing contractors back on three occasions to carry out repairs as water was penetrating, ruining the ceiling and laminated floors beneath. It got progressively worse. In desperation to find a permanent solution that was guaranteed our research and reading reviews paid off. We needed local top-quality roofers and quickly, no surprises Bennett and Sons Limited were right up there with the best. From the start, their telephone manner was professional and empathetic and immediately gave me some degree of comfort; we choose right. Wayne visited as agreed and without delay spotted the problem immediately and an estimate promptly arrived. All agreed, the date was set and Jonathan with his assistant turned up early to start. The job took 2 days, all the discarded materials were removed and agreed additional work also completed. The guys were courteous and professional explaining (as I needed some reassurance) what would be needed to replace the whole roof. What a great looking roof and we know it will keep all out. We are now getting them back in to repair some further sub-standard work to each side of the roof extension. They used the proper tool to lay the gutters while most builders merely judge with their eyes. Water no longer splash out of my gutters even in heavy downpour. Some of my neighbors' new gutters look good but water overflow in places during heavy rain. Yes, I will recommend this trader.

Very happy with the repointing & tile replacement work done. Bennett & Sons were recommended to me by a friend who had used them before and was very happy with their work. All I can say is that they now have an additional satisfied customer.
