I used Bennetts and sons to repair a leaking roof. They were very professional and friendly to talk to. They attended the house for a free quotation promptly. They advised and recommended several options and provided quotes. Gaining access to the roof was a problem for other roofers previously, but Bennet's & Sons managed to gain access using a difficult option. The work was carried out to a very good standard, pictures were provided. I will definitely use them again and will be recommended to friends and family.

We have used Bennett and sons on two occasions, once to replace out gutters and soffits and again to fix a leaking roof. Our experience was truly outstanding consistently. Mr Bennett senior arrived as arranged to inspect our roof following a leak over the holiday period and gave me a quote for this and some other minor repairs he saw. He attended with his son and another worker at the time and date agreed (between Christmas and New Year) and completed the repairs very quickly for exactly the quoted price. We also enquired about some more major renovations that could wait until the Spring and he again quoted for this. The service was fast, efficient and highly professional. We will use them again and would certainly recommend them.

Bennett & Sons recently put a new roof and guttering on a terraced house. They arrived when they said they would. Their work ethics were excellent. Cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again if the need arises.

Bennett and Sons replaced a perspex car port root for me after it was damaged in the recent storms. They were very efficient and hard-working, even working on christmas eve to finish the flashing. The roof subsequently suffered minor damage as a result of a neighbour's roof tile being blown off in another storm. Bennett & Sons fixed the damage quickly. I was very pleased with their respond and the jobs.

I had roof tiles falling off and cracking other roof tiles during the severe early January weather and was quite concerned water will seep through to the inside of the house any minute with the heavy rain that accompanied the strong winds. I have emergency assistance cover with my insurance company, but I was told their contractors will not reach me until after the weekend. I called Bennett & Sons and explained the situation. Both Wayne and Chris turned up a couple of hours after I called (weekend, lots of houses suffering severe weather damage) to inspect the damage and provide a quote. After spending time and effort assessing the damage, they assured me that water was not likely to leak into the house and that they can fix the damage easily. They provided me with a very reasonable quote, especially given how busy they were at the time and that it was an emergency repair. I felt that they were genuinley trying to help as best as they could, and felt confident dealing with them both because they seemed experts at what they do and in no way were they trying to exploit an emergency call at a time when their skills were desperately needed by the community. My intention was to agree the repair and the quote and get the go-ahead from the insurance company as I was confident they will do a professional job. As it turned out, the insurance company's own contractor turned up soon after they left (which I was not expecting) and it was much more convenient for me to go along with that original arrangement simply because they would have dealt with the insurance company directly and without my involvement/form filling/claiming. Of my experience dealing with Wayne and Chris, I am happy to add my recommendation to Which local to support all the other recommendations for Bennett and Sons.

After reading good reviews about Bennett & Sons on Which Local, we asked for a quote and subsequently hired them to replace the fascias and guttering on our house. From start to finish they were punctual, efficient, hard working, friendly and completed the work to a high standard. We highly recommend them.

I had a new flat roof built for my garage by Bennett & Sons. Also they repaired my house roof and dispose some old water tanks from the loft. They were very prompt and hard working. I really recommend them.

Bennett & Sons did a very professional and reasonably priced replacement of our double garage flat roof which they had previously repaired last year following a leak but finally needed replacing. They were very prompt and got on with the job. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Bennett & Son did a very good job replacing the shared roof of the outhouse containing our central heating boiler. The tiles, battens, felt and lead flashing were renewed. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly, and we would have no hesitation in using them again. The price was good value.

Bennett & Sons replaced a sheet of glass let into our slate roof with a proper opening skylight and also installed a number of air vented slate replacements. They impressed with their knowledge and general attitude, and worked hard and cheerfully to get the job done in difficult weather conditions. I did not obtain other quotes because I considered their estimate to be fair and reasonable. I would recommend them and will use them again myself.

Three chimneys were capped and a fourth chimney fitted with a cowl. The work was completed promptly and efficiently. We chose have this work done because we have recently had some masonry falls (loose mortar) in the fourth chimney, still in use with a coal with a gas fire. I cannot really comment on value for lack of previous experience.

Excellent job, managed to do it despite me being 250 miles away without fuss, or a front door key, and for a very reasonable price too. I little difficult to get hold of on the phone, however.

I can endorse all of the previous good comments. The initial call was good with a lot of information given about options and issues. The quote was very competitive. The team who did the work were good tradesmen with a good attention for detail and clearly wanted to do a job to be proud of. Payment is only after the job is finished and the customer fully satisfied. I am very pleased with the finished job and the whole experience of dealing with such good professional and polite people.

After looking on Which Local I recommended Bennett and Sons to my Father in Law who had problems with a leaking roof. Having already had a quote for £400 he contacted B & Sons. They happened to be in the vicinity and called when they had finished their current job. They said that the extensive repair recommended by the the previous roofer was unnecessary and did a repair for £120. They, also, carried out some additional work, for additional payment, to damaged lead flashing on the chimney. My F-i-L was VERY pleased and asked me to post a positive review.

I called Bennetts, after finding them in Which Local, to refit a small number of tiles on the house roof. They quoted a competive price and arrived early, after calling to check that this was OK. The Job was done with speed and efficicency, for the price quoted. The roofer also offered to take photos of a couple of items which would need attention in the near future. He suggested using our camera to ensure they'd be photos of our roof! I shall be using them again.

We needed the roof of our house replacing as it had come to the end of it's natural life. We got four companies round to give us a quote and Bennett & Sons were almost a grand cheaper than all of the others. Wayne (Bennett) dropped a a selection of tiles round one evening so we could decide on the colour and was happy to give his opinion on what would look best on our style of property. He also wrote down a number of properties in the area that they had done recently so that we could view the quality of their work. The team of four (headed up by Wayne's son) worked tirelessly from about 7.30am to 4.30pm to get the job done - I even had trouble trying to get them to take a tea break. They managed to re-attach the original decorative ridge tiles (something I'd wanted so that we would preserve some of the original character of our 1910 house), even though we were fitting new concrete tiles and two of the four companies we got round told us that this wouldn't be possible. Wayne returned at the end of the week to inspect the work. There was also no problem when we asked them to come back and replace a tile that had cracked under the weight of scaffolding on our kitchen extension. The team were extremely courteous, diligent, professional and cleaned up before they left. I am extremely pleased with the work they did and would recommend them without hesitation. The roof looks lovely and has even drawn the odd complement from neighbours I've never spoken to before!

I arranged for 3 different companies to look at my roof which I knew needed some work. Two traders arrived and looked at the roof from the road, and immediately said I'd need a completely new roof. This company went up onto the roof to look, and said I had a few years left before it needed any significant work. I had to change the appointment at short notice, and they were prefectly flexible. They arrived on time, completed the repairs and installed a new Velux window for me. Price was incredible compared to the previous quotes, and I will now only call this company for any roof issues I have.

He came at the appointment time gave a quote of £80 he replaced the six missing tiles and also five others that had started to slip. Two of my neighbours asked him to look at their roofs while he was here and I understand they were also happy with the work he did. I would defiantly use him again.

I had a leak. I called one roofer who incorrectly diagnosed the problem and then gave me an estimate for a replacement gulley. I called Bennett & Sons for a second opinion & quote. He turned up on time and went up on to the roof before giving his diagnosis. He came across as being honest and professional, and saved me a lot of money.

I had a leaking roof when some of my slates slid down. I called 4 roofers some didn't come around when they said they would. Bennett & Sons came to check on time as he said he would and the price he mentioned was the best. It was a small job and he fixed the roof slates there and then, in fact he said some others were coming loose so he fixed them also for the same price. Some more slates moved later on and he fixed it promptly. I needed my roof replaced and again got several quotes. Bennett and Sons was the best quote. They replaced the pitched roof of my house.
