Bhakta builders undertook a varied scope renovating my parents Edwardian house and installing an accessible shower room. The Bhakta team were able to take on a wide range of works including outdoor paving installation, bathroom fitting and tiling, exterior and interior painting and re-pointing. All works were completed to a high standard and the team were very considerate and careful of the house occupants and neighbours. Bhakta were also responsive to new requirements as they arose and always looking to get the best result for the client. The only area that was a bit difficult was the administrative side - scope/ cost changes were harder than they could have been to track - but we got there in the end.

George and his team did exterior decorations and installed a new double glazed sash window. I have waited almost 2 years to check the durability of the work. It has lasted perfectly. The project management was excellent - everything done exactly when they said it would happen, scaffolding erected and removed within one day of the job start and finish, regular and effective communication with Natasha and George, and the job done to time and budget. The team of decorators were skilled, meticulous, left the place clean and tidy on a daily basis, friendly and polite. Minor snags (a cracked tile) were mended without any issue. The window replacement was equally effectively done, with a side panel replaced free when it cracked during the operation. I do not hesitate to recommend this company for building works. A pleasure to deal with.

We had interior damp proofing work done first and, being pleased with the work, got them back again for external window frame and porch repairs. Bhakta Builders is run by George. While his written English might not be perfect, he more than makes up for this by being present on site and talking you through the job. He provides an attentive personal service and make himself available, also working in the job himself to move things forward. The quality of the work was sound and we have no complaints as to the workmanship.

We used George and his team for bedroom refurbishments and structural work (chimney breast removal). George clearly cares about doing a good and proper job, he was completely transparent and reasonable with a detailed quote (not an estimate) straight away, had a great team of guys doing a proper job, and was very responsive and fast. Even when the project was complicated by unresponsiveness from Council building control, he did what he could and tried to make sure it didn't disadvantage us. Completely recommend, we're fully happy with the entire job, they actually care about the job and take pride, unlike a lot of other builders.

Bhakta Builders completed an extensive ground floor side/rear kitchen extension project and the creation of an ensuite bathroom to master suite. The project took 5 months, we lived on site during this time. Bhakta built to a high eco spec, involving the formation of structural opening, external groundwork, foundations, all steels, timbers and lintels, an insulated concrete floor, building a timber pitched roof including fitting timber composite, triple glazed windows, a flat roof to hold a lantern rooflight, fitting triple glazed French doors and a feature picture window, all drainage, plumbing, electrics, UFH, tiling, decorating and fitting a made-to-measure wooden kitchen. The ensuite included stud walls, pocket door systems, plumbing, electrics, fitting of bathroom shower suite, tiling, and decorating. We were very impressed with the site team. They were punctual, polite, respectful, and conscientious, and worked hard every day, in all weathers. We saw the trades at work, it was evident that they were skilled professionals who took pride in their work. The site was tidied/secured every day, and they did their best to work around us discreetly. Whilst the job was complex and some issues did arise, Bhakta team always worked hard to find solutions. There was regular communication with the management, we spoke to them daily, and they were quick to respond to queries. The build is finished to a high standard; we are very pleased, and happy to recommend Bhakta Builders.

We had a very positive experience with Bhakta Builders (management and on-site builders) from the initial consultation through to the snagging at the end of the job. Our job lasted around one year and we found Bhakta very easy to work with and also very responsive to our calls, emails and texts. We found them to be honest and direct about costs and options so no hidden surprises at the end of the job. The quality of the workmanship was very good and we are very pleased with the outcome, it's not cheap but the work is of a high standard and carried out in accordance with the relevant building regulations. We would recommend Bhakta Builders, and are happy with what they have done for us so far. We would not hesitate to contact them again for future work. The project consisted of the following work: Single story rear extension, garage conversion, new plumbing, new electrics, underfloor heating, insulation of parquet floor, external groundwork (3 metres deep), kitchen and bathroom fittings, painting and decorating, all fittings and fixtures, carpentry, internal bi-fold door fitting, fence posts and fencing, patio, as well as insulation of sky lights. We asked Bhakta to redo the kitchen, bathroom and flooring. Due to material related delays, the schedule was pushed out, but I was very impressed with the efficiency and quality of the work. They are an honest group of builders and put quality first. They gave their advice, what can and can’t be done in their experience and I appreciated this. Where there were some areas of the flat that could be improved like where the sink plug wasn’t working or silicon added to the edges of the worktop they came back to the site to fix this in a timely manner. I would recommend Bhakta for their emphasis on quality craftsmanship.

We had a list of remedial work from roof to basement and redecorating before putting our house on the market. All in all it took the best part of a year, with breaks in between. The quality of the work done was good and the crews who came in were pleasant to have in the house. I would recommend these builders, although they won’t be your cheapest quote.

George and his team work hard for you. He works hard for his people as well and it shows in the work that they do. The company cares about more than just getting the work done, but rather in how the work is done. Things did not always go according to plan but a quick, open, chat with George would resolve the matter quickly. They are not afraid to admit a mistake and to resolve it. More than that, they often go above and beyond what was asked. For example, they installed a bath under our shower free of charge as a present to our new baby. The only real negative was that the cost of the materials wasn't clear at the start and it was more than I had anticipated. If you can define this up front so you can have a full picture and you're happy with the price then you should definitely hire them. I have had a few builders on various houses over the years and George and his team have definitely been great builders. When people ask you "can you recommend a good builder?", I can confidently say "Yes, Bhakta Builders, talk to George."

Bhakta Builders managed and oversaw new double glazing for 2 non-standard fit wooden sash windows, decorating and painting as well as building new shelf unit. This is the 2nd project they have finished for me, and I can really recommend their worksmanship and professionalism. Work has been completed to a very high standard within budget, with George keeping me up to date on any issues and challenges on the way. I also really appreciated the honest review of the budget. I always knew where i was in terms of budget and timeline. I found Bhakta Builders offer polite and considerate service, and expert workmanship.
