Blue Flame Service Ltd is a local firm based in Maryport, Cumbria, originally set up by David Harrison in 2003. Over the past 15 years we have developed and grown into one of Cumbria ’s leading utility contractors providing first class plumbing, heating, electrical and renewable services.

Our fleet of 5 fully fitted vehicles support all the services we provide covering the whole of Cumbria, Millom to Carlisle, Whitehaven to Penrith.

We cover all aspects of Plumbing and Heating, Blue Flame Services are now able to offer boiler finance and Bathroom finance options throughout Cumbria.

Blue Flame can now offer easy payment solutions with 0% APR on all boiler, bathroom and electrical installations.

We can now protect your Home with a range of Boiler Care packages starting from £0.37 a day, all packages include an annual boiler service, unlimited call outs and up to £1,000 inc vat for repair works.

New Combi boiler fitted today, on the day promised also on budget. Pleasant and efficient tradesmen started on time, completed the job in one day and cleaned up working area. Cannot comment on aftercare yet but communication so far has been good. Nothing went wrong on the day. Very pleased overall.

This review is for the removal of a Back Boiler and installation of a Combi boiler system. Survey: Very professional, Jon explained every step of the process and added advice to enable us to make a decision for the most economical and efficient system. His communication was a mixture of technical and simple explanation offering a complete understanding to guide us. Installation: This took the best part of three days, the engineers were Lee and Callum who turned up promptly each day and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. I was impressed when a roll of tacky backed plastic was used to safely protect the stair and landing carpet. These two engineers were polite and informative though out the job, nothing was too much trouble and at no stage did I hear bad language being used. In the very final stages of the job access to upstairs was required, the carpet protector had been removed at this stage, each time Callum entered the house he removed his boots in the hall. I would have been proud to have employed these two lads myself. A great job from start to finish and I would have no hesitation in recommending Blue Flame to any potential customer. Competitively priced and well executed from start to finish.

From start to finish Blue Flame were efficient and friendly keeping us informed every step. The man who quoted and assessed the job was very informed and the young lads who did the work carried it out in a friendly manner keeping everything tidy as they went working very hard all day. Carpets were all covered and all rubbish removed. At the end of the works my mum was even given a beautiful bunch of flowers to thank her for her custom a lovely personal touch. Fantastic local firm.

The engineer was pleasant, polite, efficient and conscientious. Everything was explained to me and I was very satisfied with the work carried out. This was the second time I'd used Blue Flame and would readily recommend them. They did everything they said they would do and more. The initial contact; Jon, was friendly, knowledgeable and full of good advice. they were fast and reliable. On the days of the job the the two lads were punctual friendly and very helpful. They cleaned up after themselves and did what I considered an excellent and conscientious job. Emergency callout to repair a leak

Noticed the dreaded damp ceiling in an area above the crawl way. Contacted Blue Flame last 9.00 am and was given an appointment time of between 2:00 and 4:00pm. The plumber was finished within the hour, had fixed the pipe, hoovered up the standing water laying on the ceiling plasterboards, and has wrung out the sodden insulation material for faster drying. All done within the minimum one hour call-out charge! Top marks lads!

These guys fitted us a WIFI thermostat to manage heating. They noticed and repaired damaged main electric cable to oil boiler. Fitted outdoor security light and replaced worn out ceiling extractor. Prompt service, worked quietly and efficiently . Everything left clean & tidy , rubbish taken away. So pleased this company was recommended to us by family. We feel totally comfortable for the future , and when our old oil fired boiler gives up we have these lads to rely on to come to our rescue. We are both over 70 and we are delighted with the service provided.

Having discussed the work required, all new copper plumbing to all new radiators and fresh supplies to both bathrooms and fitting the bathrooms, David Harrison could not have been more helpful. We must have had a dozen of the team at different times and they were all excellent, nothing too much trouble and Daz wouldn't leave without cleaning up at the end of each day. I have no hesitation to highly recommend Blue Flame Cumbria.

I needed a complete new flue on my combi boiler, a new thermostat and a TRV. The engineer arrived promptly to inspect the work that needed doing and took notes which he checked with me to make sure I was happy with them. The detailed quote arrived a couple of days later and was for a very reasonable price. I was not able to be at the property on the agreed date but they were happy to take a key and let themselves in. They did the work in one day and left my property in good condition. I received the Safety/Service Certificate the next day. Their customer service is great and they were happy to answer any and all questions. I would have no hesitation in using this company again and highly recommend them.

We have used BlueFlame several times now and they have always been very satisfactory.. This time theywere putting right the faults they found during a survey 'condition report' in our new home . Several earthing faults were put right incluing one which took quite a bit of detecting. The lads were helpful and explained what they were doing and why. A small glitch was put right promptly the next day.. They always leave the job tidy. i have no hesitation in recommending BlueFlame for any electrical work and plumbing work.. They are not the cheapest but they are the best and can be relied on to complete work on time and to budget / estimate.

My heating system developed a leak, which proved challenging to locate and repair. The guys just got stuck in, and got the job done, despite the adverse working conditions. As always, they are professional, cheerful and keen to please the customer. I called them in as they had previously done a boiler change for me, and I had gained a very positive view of the company and teams as a result of that work.

We have used Blue Flame several times for repair and service of our older oil boiler. They are always on time ie. the engineer arrived at 8am on the dot. He was efficient and importantly for me, knowledgeable about older more obscure systems. As well as a service, a small component was found to be faulty causing an occasional lock out. All priced up, fitted from the stock on the van quickly and easily. I very rarely write reviews but made an exception because of their excellent service which is reasonably priced.

Contacted Blue Flame for a quote to replace our boiler, an engineer came out the same day, fully talking me through the work needed, answering all my questions and concerns. Quote emailed to me very quickly. Date set for work to commence, with confirmation emails sent prior. Engineers arrived as arranged on time. I was very impressed with the two engineers that carried out the work, obviously conscientious. Our home was left clean and tidy. From start to finish Blue Flame's communication and customer service was superb, I can't fault it. We will certainly be using Blue Flame again for servicing etc.

I have used the services for 3 years they fitted a new boiler and have continued to service both the boiler and gas fire annually. Today's service was no exception to the rule of efficient service. Booking the appointment was straightforward and I was able to pay by card over the phone cutting down on contact. The engineer was friendly and extremely well prepared with appropriate PPE and cleaned all the surfaces with anti bacterial spray to cut down on any contamination. Will use them in the future.

Installation of a new combi boiler to replace an old back boiler completed in 2 days. Lads worked hard, completed installation as per quote, which was considerably cheaper then the one received from British Gas and with Blue Flame you get a longer warranty. Additionally, due to delays caused by a certain virus, original quote obtained about 4 months ago for the work was honoured.
