Blue Flame Service Ltd is a local firm based in Maryport, Cumbria, originally set up by David Harrison in 2003. Over the past 15 years we have developed and grown into one of Cumbria ’s leading utility contractors providing first class plumbing, heating, electrical and renewable services.

Our fleet of 5 fully fitted vehicles support all the services we provide covering the whole of Cumbria, Millom to Carlisle, Whitehaven to Penrith.

We cover all aspects of Plumbing and Heating, Blue Flame Services are now able to offer boiler finance and Bathroom finance options throughout Cumbria.

Blue Flame can now offer easy payment solutions with 0% APR on all boiler, bathroom and electrical installations.

We can now protect your Home with a range of Boiler Care packages starting from £0.37 a day, all packages include an annual boiler service, unlimited call outs and up to £1,000 inc vat for repair works.

I contacted Blue Flame to provide a quote to replace an existing bathroom with a shower room. I provided the fittings and tiles. Jon offered invaluable advice on the layout and finish of the room. I then accepted the quote, and work began on 02.03.2021. Darren and Corbie worked exceptionally hard to overcome the challenges faced with refurbishing a Victorian room. The finished result is a testament to Darren's skill as a tiler, plumber, and joiner. I am delighted with my new shower room, and cannot praise highly enough the service I have received. Thank you.

Exemplary service. Personnel Lee, Reece and Kai are a credit to Blueflame. They were a pleasure to have in our home; being polite, most friendly, helpful and efficient. They also took initiative to make improvements, such as re-routing of existing pipe work and we’re careful to secure floorboards and leave everything clean and tidy. The process from survey to sign off of the installation was personally overseen by the Director, David, who additionally willingly listened to my questions, provided reassurance and accommodated my requests. The Sales Manager, Patrick, was equally positive and approachable. Their Which? Trusted Traders recognition is deservedly given.

We've needed this work done for some time - it was just a case of finding a trustworthy company to carry it out. Living out in the country, it can be difficult to get trades teams to attend the property. We've used Blue Flame for a number of things, including annual boiler service and any boiler problems. I like them because it is a large local company, which means that someone attends when they say they will and the response is always quick, because there are enough engineers to cover demand. Would thoroughly recommend them.

We exchanged an external oil boiler for a new internal gas boiler. The team, Paul, Reece and electrician Barry worked really hard to create an installation that functions very effectively but also fits unobtrusively into our house. They were all very proactive in overcoming the inevitable unforeseen problems and, impressively, managed to keep smiling even at the end of a long day. I’d give them all a big thumbs up and an unqualified excellent recommendation.

Blue Flame fitted a brand new central heating system and combi boiler and also removed the old water tank and electric storage heaters. From start to finish they were efficient and friendly. The young lads who completed the work kept everything clean and tidy and completed the job in the time scale quoted. When the work was completed I received a lovely bouquet of flowers which made my day.

Blue Flame replaced our old oil combi boiler with a new one 24-25 May. We were only without water for 1 hour. The service was excellent, it was all to schedule and was completed by lunchtime on the second day. I find the service at the Maryport base very friendly and helpful in addition to everything left clean and neat. The lovely surprise was a beautiful arrangement of flowers. Blue Flame Maryport comes highly recommended by my husband & me for all plumbing and electrical work.

Finding and Fixing of leak

We had been struggling with what appeared to be extensive rising damp for months on 2 internal walls having employed builders and several surveys. While servicing our boiler your engineer looked at the issue and ascertained the problem in less than half an hour. He arranged to return and delve further into the problem. Did so promptly, made sound judgements as to how to limit damage given that floors needed digging up. He called for more a specialised engineer who was with us in a couple of hours. He was enthusiastic , very competent, fixed the problem efficiently and left us with a clean site. In every circumstance they were polite, positive and helpful. Team Blue Flame worked very well together. We have used them before always having had the same experience.

We had a new combi boiler fitted on the 16th July 2021 by two engineers who were extremely competent and efficient. We also took out the boiler and gas fire service agreement to cover any future service requirements. A nice bouquet of flowers were left in appreciation of appointing BF for this work. We had this fantastic team in to replace an old oil central heating system with a gas combi boiler in July 2021. The team arrived on time and did a fantastic job, leaving the house as they found it and were really good about being careful not to let the house cat out. As a bonus, the shower is now worth any 5-star hotel as it's hot and powerful... We will get them back in for the next phase of work Blue Flame are well priced and the service is second to none.

We had a new boiler installed and 2 new electric showers. We were told the job would take 2 days and it took 1 and a half. The plumbers and electricians were very friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Everything from the quote to having the work done went very smoothly and we're very happy with the results. I would definatly recommend Blue Flame and use them again for any future jobs.

The work was assessed by a professional who knew his job and by the next day we had a comprehensive quote, detailing exactly what we needed. Furthermore the final bill had no hidden extras. I recently had my boiler serviced as part of my yearly requirement for my 10-year guarantee. Paul the engineer was very helpful and arrived within the promised time. I mentioned that I sometimes caught a slight whiff of gas around the incoming pipe and meter area, he checked this for me and showed me a bubble forming on an incoming elbow. We contacted the emergency number and reported the fault, Paul was good enough to stay in his van waiting for the gas boards arrival. Unfortunately, he eventually had to leave for his next scheduled service but left me with his mobile number to contact him with the outcome on completion. I did so and was pleased to receive a service that is always above and beyond the average. Thank you Paul and Blue Flame for a great service.

Very efficient service
I tried for a long time to get my heating system back to full working order. One call to Blue Flame at 08:30 in the morning delivered an engineer by 10:30 - very impressed. Date was booked for full repair and was contacted to say they could come a week earlier. Dave and Bomber were on time, efficient and friendly - heating now works again. Many thanks

My first time using Blue Flame, from initial inspection and quote for the installation of a new boiler, to fitting in my home, I was aware that they were customer-focused. There was no high-pressure sales talk. On the day of the installation the two engineers arrived early, I was informed before that they were on route to my home. On arrival straight to work, very tidy approach to their work, they were very approachable and friendly. On completion of the work, I was shown how to operate the controls. The standard of finish was good and neat, the outside flu finished off to a high standard. When they had finished, they cleared up, even hoovering one of the rooms upstairs where they had loft access. The roofer also attended to replace slates where the old flu had been, this had been arranged by Blue Flame again a high standard of workmanship. Overall very happy with my experience with Blue Flame.
