I rang Friday morning as we were experiencing a leak from the boiler, they were able to attend the same day. I was advised of attendance cost on the phone call before attending. Polite and courteous when arrived, got straight to it and identified the problem promptly, advised me of parts required and relevant costs, and what would happen if parts were not on the van. Lucky for me they had relevant parts on the van and were able to fit there and then. Leaving me with a working boiler. I was recommended them by a family member and will now be booking a yearly service with them. Would definitely recommend

Despite being delayed through traffic problems and arriving early evening, Mark carried out the work in an efficient and unhurried way. The work was an annual boiler service and to diagnose and fix, if possible, a circulation problem. The boiler service was carried out as expected with necessary paperwork being completed. Examination of the circulation problem revealed a leaky gate valve on the cylinder which Mark intends to replace in about 10 days, following a temporary repair. He has explained the likely causes of the circulation problem and we will see whether what he has done so far has sorted this out over the next few days. The work was carried out according to his estimate and we have been given a follow up estimate for replacement of the cylinder valve. He was friendly and helpful throughout and we feel that his advice was good.

WE HAVE USED THE SERVICES OF MARK BEFORE AND HAD NO QUALMS ABOUT ASKING HIM TO QUOTE US FOR TWO NEW RADIATORS TO BE INSTALLED IN THE BEDROOMS AS WE HAVE COMPLETE TRUST IN THE SERVICE HE PROVIDES. HE DULY GAVE US WITH A QUOTE AND WE AGREED A DATE FOR THE WORK TO BE DONE. THIS HE DID YESTERDAY TO OUR ENTIRE SATISFACTION. Boiler rescue attended , found the route cause of the problem ( after many others had tried and failed, They submitted a quotation agreed a date for the works and called in advance of arrival They arrived out the work in hand and completed within 2 hours Very polite very knowledgeable and something I loved to see is an apprentice was part of the workforce being very closely supervised by a highly skilled tradesman Will 100% use again

Beware of the call out charge

On the Trusted Traders website there were the words...( we offer a no call out charge..). However, I called out this trader and after 10 minutes of looking at the job he said he could not do it but then charged £90 for the call out. When confronted about it he claimed the call-out was coming to the door and looking at the job was analysis and therefore it is a charge even though he said he could not repair the boiler. I feel I was knowingly misled as he could have made this clear before attendance but when I pointed this out he did not offer a refund. I would not recommend him.

I am sorry you have felt mislead in this regard. The charge is for our investigation and diagnosis of the problem. Unfortunately the boilers age and condition meant that we were unable to offer you a repair as the boiler is beyond economical repair. We will endeavour to help customers understand our charges in the future.

After being told that my rental property needed a new boiler as it was 13 years old and had various faults, I contacted Boiler Rescue on the recommendation of a family member. The help and competence was excellent and very reassuring. They arranged to visit the property through my agent and carried out a thorough check concluding that the boiler was working well, was less than 10 years old.I did not need to get a new one. I am very grateful to them for their honest opinion. I I couldn't have asked for better service, thank you Boiler Rescue.

Boiler Rescue completed an annual service that included a boiler check, safety checks and central heating and plumbing inspection. Bathroom radiator was bled and adjusted and made more effective. The work was completed to the agreed schedule and budget. The trader stood out in terms of efficiency, professionalism and consideration. Central heating was not turning off, so was on continuously and house became far too hot. Phoned Boiler Rescue and a visit was booked for the same day and I given a quote for the hourly rate, which I felt to be reasonable. The fault was found quickly and resolved. Everything that was done was explained to me in a way I could understand. Shoe covers were put on when entering the property and everything was left clean and tidy on leaving. I could not fault the service received and the friendly but professional way that I was treated.

A rare gem of a heating engineer

I dread having to obtain the services of a tradesman not known to me. So often in the past I have been disappointed. Well fear not people, I have found a rare gem of a heating engineer. Mark was polite and helpful with a "can do attitude" right from the first phone call. Not only that but he was open and clear about what he could do and what his charges were. He was flexible and able to accommodate my requirements. I explained what my intermittent problem was and he listened carefully and analysed the problem quickly and accurately. I asked many questions and all were answered clearly with no flannel or waffle. I was so impressed at the organised, efficient, clean and technically proficient way he worked. Everything he needed was in his van so no need go and purchase parts. Mark is the bench mark by which all others should be judged by. I wish I had met him 30 years ago.

Mark turned up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He promptly replaced our Central Heating pump after overcoming the issues that its longstanding installation had caused. Mark explained what he did and why and also recommended some additional work to benefit our heating system. Mark and his Apprentice left the workspace clean and tidy. I found both to be very professional throughout their visit.

My husband and I just moved into our house. We wanted to turn the heating on but radiators were ice cold even though boiler was turned on and temp. was set on the hive. On Saturday late evening, now at a complete loss, I browsed the British Gas website to see if we could get an engineer to visit. I contacted Mark via localheroes.com (backed by BG), submitted the job details via the online form, was given a quote and waited for a response. Sunday morning got a call from Mark, saying he would be able to visit same day to diagnose but if he didn't have the parts then would arrange to come back - no problem. Arrived in the afternoon, he took a look at the boiler, explained the problem and how he was going to repair. Job was done within an hour. Would highly recommend!

We had excessive hot water. The system was tested and the recommendation was to replace the cylinder thermostat and HW water actuator. The testing and repairs were carried out promptly on schedule and on-budget. Mark Pflaumer, the engineer, was pleasant, considerate, professional and friendly.
