My name is Anthony and I have been running Bourne Plumbing & Heating a family run business, for over 27 years. I offer a wide range of services, from full bathroom installations to emergency call-outs. I am also on hand to help out with smaller jobs, such as fixing leaky taps or unblocking drains.

Our boiler needed replacement and Tony recommended a Viessmann boiler which was installed with system protection and a power flush. A 12 year warranty has been placed on the boiler. Through out Tony has been helpful and considerate. The work was completed on time and within budget and all waste removed. Would employ them again.

This firm supplied and fitted a new gas fired wall hung central heating "ATAG" boiler covered by an 18 year warranty and completely overhauled my central heating system comprising sixteen radiators. This included replacement valves on all radiators and two motorised valves to control the direction of flow in the system. They also carried out a power flush of the system and magnetised filtering to remove minute metallic particles from the circulating fluid before finally adding inhibitor to the system. Anthony, the Principal of the firm, undertook this work and is very thorough. He is a pleasure to have working in one's home and I recommend him strongly to any householder who is contemplating a similar project.

How many times have you moaned about finding a tradesperson you can rely on? A neighbour strongly recommended Anthony Bourne having used him a number of times. I have used him twice now The first time was to fix a tap (someone else failed badly) and this time to replace a boiler. The boiler installed is a Viessmann with a twelve year guarantee. Extra work was needed given a leaking immersion heater, so the initial quote became irrelevant. The work is thorough, the sense of responsibility high, he turns up when he says he will, everything is completed and tidied up very neatly. All I could want: job defined, work done properly and no problems.

Earlier this year, Anthony Sawczuk installed a new boiler and upgraded an ageing heating system. Throughout the process his communications, punctuality, tidiness, and flexibility were excellent. Estimates of costs were clear and detailed. His extensive knowledge, experience and advice were invaluable and his workmanship was meticulous. It is testimony to the quality of his work that the installed Viessmann boiler, with a 5 year warranty, was extended (gratis) to 12 years.

Tony was recommended by a friend. After having no heating over Christmas for 5 days Tony came on 27th December and fixed the boiler. The cost was very reasonable. He happily came back to re-adjust the boiler cover so that the pressure gauge was more visible. I would recommend.

I hired Anthony to fit a replacement for my toilet. He came to see the existing unit. He advised me what type of toilet to get and quickly responded with a quote. Once I agreed to the quote and purchased a new toilet we arranged a time (within a few days) for him to carry out the fitting which he completed on schedule, to a high standard. I subsequently used his services to fix a leak which he responded to quickly and efficiently.

Anthony supplied and fitted a new inlet valve to toilet cistern - which was overflowing/dripping into the overflow. We called on his mobile, described the problem, arranged a timeslot. Anthony arrived within timeslot, good communication on arrival - friendly and direct, covered shoes to avoid bringing in mud/marking flooring with his shoes, checked the problem, fixed the problem - did not make a mess /cleared up, checked the fix and answered questions. Overall just what you need when you have a problem - someone to turn up - on time - check fault, fix it, check the fix, clear up after themselves, good comms and bill sensibly for the work.

I think I’ve found a plumber I can trust. Based on his WHICH review, I booked Tony in for a couple of straight forward jobs (MegaFlow annual check and kitchen tap replacement) to check him out for a job I’ve been putting off, for far too long, for fear of consequences of the job going wrong and causing damage which would be extremely expensive to rectify. Long story short, he replaced the shower thermostatic cartridge, which was well and truly jammed, without causing any damage whatsoever to the fittings and surrounding tiles. Although he was confident he could do this job without damage, he did reassure me of the potential options. Relieved and happy customer!

I found Anthony on Which? Trusted Traders when a leak under my bath needed to be fixed. He responded quickly, arrived on time and took care of everything efficiently. He repurposed part of an old tap so I didn't need to replace the set, saving me money. He also advised getting a botched radiator job fixed for free by the company responsible rather than me paying him to do it, which impressed me. Finally, I requested a separate invoice for the work covered by my home insurance, which he provided. The whole experience was reassuring and professional, which we all want when hiring tradespeople!

I hired Anthony of Bourne Plumbing and Heating to install my new Viessmann central heating boiler. Anthony is my go-to plumber for any plumbing work, from minor maintenance to major installations such as this. The job was not straightforward as the new Viessmann boiler needed to be installed on an outside wall, unlike my previous 30 year old floor-standing model with a flue up the chimney. Water and gas pipes needed to be run through a wall to the new location. All this was done efficiently, with the minimum of fuss. Anthony works closely with Colin, a carpenter with decades of experience, who boxed in the exposed pipework, leaving an excellent cosmetic finish. He also created a custom-built cupboard to fill the void where the old boiler used to be. I recommend Bourne Plumbing and Heating for all your plumbing needs.

This was the second time that I have used Bourne Plumbing. The first occasion was May 2022 but I forgot to leave a review [apologies]. Last year involved a replacement flushing unit and replacement towel radiator heating element. This year also involved a replacement flushing unit. Anthony is reliable, efficient, courteous, works cleanly, orders spare parts as necessary and returns to complete works in as short a time as possible. He does not demand payment before work is started, and only sends an invoice via email with details of how to pay once work has been completed. His rates are reasonable. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Bourne Plumbing and will certainly use Anthony again for any work/problems in the future.
