Quick, effective and friendly. Came when he said he would (sooner than we expected) to install a new tap, move our washing machine connections, etc. We have to report that he got the latter back the wrong way round, but I'm sure he'd have rushed to correct it if I hadn't done it myself. Not cheap, but took much less time than we'd expected, so good value, and we'll certainly ask him again.

I have used Tony for over 8 years now. It was by luck that I found out about him after British Gas had installed a Central heating system for my mother. The system caused problems within months of installation and none of the BG homecare engineers seemed willing or could solve the problem. Tony was due to refurbish my mother's bathroom and was thus able to get a closer look at their work. Pipes around the boiler had not been connected correctly by British Gas and were leaking. This caused damage to the kitchen ceiling. Tony also pointed out that British Gas had charged for work/materials not carried out which amounted to around £1500. This was a very stressful time for me so Tony prepared a report which I was able to submit to BG and claim for compensation and damages. Just last month their were new problems with the same system which BG homecare engineers didnt put right. Tony replaced pipework, replaced an insufficient immersion heater in the cylinder tank and power flushed the system. I cannot praise Tony enough. He is a honest, polite and hard working professional and I believe that his expertise in heating/boiler systems makes him one of the best in the field. Tony has also carried out other plumbing work for my family to a high standard. I only wish I had known about him earlier.

I found Anthony of Bourne Plumbing and Heating on my 'Which Local' website. I chose him due to the amount of positive reviews regarding his work. I have to say I wasn't disappointed! It was discovered there was a fault with my existing central heating system and a leak on the boiler (past economical repair). Anthony turned up on time for the installation of my new boiler, he started work as agreed and left my house clean and tidy, with all in working order. I chose the Viessmann boiler on Anthony's recommendation and am very pleased with his choice. My central heating system has now been upgraded to current standards. I would definitely have no hesitation in recommending him not only on this site, but also to my friends and family as well.

I rang Tony in a panic on a Saturday morning as we needed a gas fire to be removed to investigate ominous noises in the chimney.He re-assured me there could not be a gas leak and said he would fit in an early call on Monday morning. He came as arranged,removed the fire (behind which was a live pigeon!),then capped off the gas supply as requested.Everything was done quickly and efficiently, and after testing the gas supply to boiler and cooker, he unblocked a hob jet into the bargain.I have no hesitation in recommending him for courtesy and efficiency.

Contacted Tony about a faulty tap, which he came and fixed when he said he would. Whilst here he also replaced a cistern toilet handle, which I was having problems with when removing the old one. All in all excellent service, and explained what the problems were. Will definitely use again.

I decided to try Bourne Plumbing after reading the good reviews and putting up with unreliable plumbers for the last few years. I organised a landlord's gas safety check with Anthony via email . He was right on time, tidy and polite - therefore no problem with him working in a premises with occupied tenants. He completed the work as expected for which I paid him. Within days, the invoice arrived in the post. Overall, very professional and will definitely use again.

We have used Tony twice. The first time to fix a malfunctioning toilet, and the second to cap off a gas pipe while we were waiting for a new appliance to be delivered. On both occasions he came at the agreed time and at short notice. He was polite, efficient and tidy. We Would not hesitate to use him again and to recommend him to others.

I called Tony to fix a leak from the toilet overflow on behalf of my 83yr old mother who was worried that the pipes would freeze if the weather turned icy. Tony came at the agreed time, closed the water supply, removed and replaced the faulty parts and as requested put in a valve so that in future the water to the toilet can be turned off in the bathroom. Tony was polite, had listened to what I had told him over the phone and so had all the parts with him, got on with the job and fixed the problem. Mum's peace of mind restored, thank you.

My tenant reported that the bathroom toilet was broken and leaking into the floor in early December. My letting agent sent their plumber around and he did a fix that did not resolve the problem. I then called in British Gas / Dynorod who did a similarly poor repair. Neither advised me of the full extent of the damage, which had permeated the floorboards by this time. With Christmas fast approaching and an increasingly agitated tenant I found Tony's details on Which Local. Once we established contact with the tenant Tony went to look at the problem and prepared a written quote within 24 hours to replace the loo, check the floorboards and replace the lino. Once I gave the go-ahead Tony arranged to carry out the repairs at the tenant's convenience and completed the work in good time for the Christmas break. I particularly liked the fact that Tony called when he said he would, kept me in the loop as the job progressed and completed the job on-time and within his quoted price. I will be calling Tony again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend his work.

I received excellent service from Tony when I had to have some pipework done so that my gas could be turned back on again. A Vaillant engineer was 'fixing' a water leak in my boiler when he noticed a problem with the gas pipe and immediately switched off the gas. No heating, no hot water, no cooking, nobody to turn to. In a panic I turned to Which Local and saw the recommendations for Tony and I can say they are all spot on. He couldn't make it on the day but turned up at 07:30 the next morning, changed the pipe and turned on the gas. No fuss, no time wasting, no mess, he had all the tools and was very friendly. I also thought he was good value for what he charged. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Tony is a star. I needed my boiler moving floors & replacing. Tony was one of a number of people I discussed the job with. Although he was not the cheapest he listened to what I wanted, presented me with a couple of options and make a recommendation. He started the job when agreed and kept me in the loop with regards to his progress on a daily basis. When leaving for the day he made the place in which he was working safe and cleaned up all the mess made. He is a professional and an all round nice person. I highly recommend him.

Came when he said he would to fix bathroom taps that had no water coming out. Job took about 25 min and I was charged his callout fee of £55 which seemed reasonable. Also gave some advice on our CH system as well. Overall friendly & helpful and would definitely use again.

Excellent service. Reliable on timing and telephoned when he said he would. He performed a power flush of our central heating system. He was very polite and prepared to answer the many questions that we asked about what he was doing and why. Maybe not the cheapest but fairly competitive pricing. Anthony serviced my daughter's boiler in Edgware, replaced water pump, fitted new bathroom taps and waste. No mess, no fuss, no waffle. He is kind considerate and very helpful. We highly recommend him.

We found Anthony through "Which" to investigate and fix our gas leak and temporary stop the megaflow from leaking. Anthony came on time and fixed the gas leak, he was very effecient and ensured all the floorboards that he had to take off was fixed back and said he would be back to fix the megaflow leak once we had the part.

Having picked out Bourne Plumbing, to replace my gas fired boiler, from Which Local recommendations, I was not disappointed. Anthony came on the agreed date and alloted time and set to removing my old boiler. With hardly a break, but numerous cups of tea, he worked from 8am until 7pm each day until the job was completed.Once finished everything was tidied up and the rubbish removed. The finished installation was more than satisfactory and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

We needed our gas hob decommissioned to install a new induction hob. We found Tony via the Which Local + the Gas Safe register. He was also recommended by the electrician we had booked to fit the new hob. Other installers we contacted were not interested by such a small job. As Anthony Bourne is good, his job list meant we had to wait a while between quote and the work being done, however the communication (phone, email, text) was excellent throughout, and we were happy/prepared to wait. He came in and did the jobs with minimum fuss. He identified other problems so we could make informed decisions about what we were prepared to pay for i.e. pointed out the insufficient size of pipes for our radiators prior to us laying a floating floor. (We chose to leave the status quo). Offered advice on water flow problems and variety of potential solutions for us to explore with pro's and con's. Extremely tidy. Did what he said, and when he said he would do it. Fixed previous plumbers failure. Came back for the 2nd part in a very reasonable time period so the job didn't linger. Professional estimate and payment on invoice after the job. Professional throughout.

I contacted Bourne Plumbing early this year to advise on a central heating system in which a new boiler was installed two years ago by a different plumber, and which since then had never worked reliably. Tony advised and quoted promptly for a powerflush. Because he was very busy with other work I had to wait several months for this to be done; however when he came he carried the work out fast and efficiently, and also reported on other aspects of the system which were probably contributing to its poor performance. He supplied a quote for remedial work, which I acccepted, and once again carried out the work courteously and efficiently. When the boiler still failed to work properly he came promptly and fitted a new part; when the problem recurred he came promptly, found and rectified a problem with the exterior pipework. Since then the system has been working fine. I found Tony courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, skilled and highly intelligent; he diagnosed and rectified a number of problems in a heating system originally installed over 30 years ago and modified several times since then. I would recommend him without reservation.

I was a new customer to Anthony with central heating not working in February. Anthony arranged to come the same day and fixed the boiler problem at a reasonable charge. I happily recommend Anthony.

Tony is a real find. He replumbed our house which involved replacing all piping and radiators, moving the boiler, installing a megaflow system, taking pipes up into the attic to anticipate a future loft conversion and fitting a toilet, bath and shower. Although a big job Tony's estimate was reasonable and he stuck to it. He was very tidy and all work was done within the predicted timeframe. I've since had other workmen comment on the high quality of his work. Tony should be the first and only plumber you call.

Bourne Plumbing provided us with a very prompt visit during which the nature of our problem was explained clearly to us and the first steps which we would need to take in order to resolve the problem. There was no charge for this advice and service. We were most impressed by this and will certainly use them again.

Tony has done three bits of work for me now: servicing a boiler, fixing a problem with a toilet cistern, and replacing a central heating radiator valve. He carried out all these jobs extremely well and in a very fuss-free way. He will definitely be the first plumber I will call on future occasions.

We have just had a new boiler installed, and were pleased with the advice and efficient work that we received from Bourne Plumbing. We were given plenty of support and patience during the process of considering what kind of system and boiler to have, changing from a conventional boiler and hot water tank, to a combi boiler. The boiler recommended and installed is a Veissmann, a German make that is not in the Which reviews, but has been strongly advised. The estimate given was very competitive, and cheaper than the national provider. We were very satisfied with the speed and professionalism of the work done over a period of 2 days, left with hot water overnight, and cleaning was done during and at the end of the job.

Tony installed a Viessmann Combi boiler with a neww gas pipe. He worked consistently hard to produce a neat and professional standard. He was very helpful and I would highly recommend him,

Our old boiler was leaking and needed replacing and Tony of Bourne Plumbing and Heating came to our rescue. He installed a Viessmann 26 kw combination boiler, fitted a new flue and made good the outside wall. He turned up when he said he would and was polite, professional and efficient. Tony even took off the roof of our cat enclosure to fit the flue and replaced it afterwards. He used dust sheets, cleaned up after himself and took away all the rubbish. All this took place with the minimum fuss or disturbance. Not the cheapest, but would definitely use again.

I needed some radiators removed fairly quickly and found his phone number in Which Local. This plumber efficiently returned phone messages. He visited us promptly to review the work and delivered a quote quickly. He turned up punctually (having changed the time to suit me) and did the job smoothly and efficiently. I am very pleased and recommend him.

Boiler would not light up. Called Tony after reading the Which Local recommendations. Found him discreet, professionnal and reliable. No doubt in my mind that he his well skilled but I agree with other members I thought he was expensive. As others said, I do not know how much other pumbers would have charged for the same job though.

Tony came round one evening to look at a lavatory which wouldn't stop flushing. He turned off the water to the cistern, ordered a new valve and came back today to fit it. He was very efficient and came when he said he would. I am delighted to have found him via Which Local.

Section of soil pipe to the rear of our house needed replacing due to hole / leak. Anthony's diagnosis of the problem was accurate and he clearly outlined two possible scenarios 1)straightforwrard replacement 2) more complex operation in the event that there was insufficient original pipe length available to attach replacement pipe to. Fortunately he was able to complete soltution 1 - a quicker, less disruptive and less costly option. Excellent service and very polite manner - would definitely recommend to others.

Based on the large number of other favourable recommendations on this site, I called Tony this morning when I discovered I had no hot water and no idea what the problem was! Tony arranged to call after 5pm, which was very convenient as I work on the other side of London - so no time missed in order to sit in and wait. He came on time and fixed the problem (replaced a valve) then and there - so no delay while parts were sourced. He explained everything that he was doing and did as he promised. Although I have no alternate quotes for the work completed, I thought it was extremely good value for money, given his prompt response and the immediate result and of course, I now have my hot water restored! I would highly recommend him. Indeed, I have made arrangements for Tony to return to fix some other nagging plumbing issues which although not critical, I have every confidence he can assist with.

Tony came round to fix an old tap that had seized up. I had had another plumber round the previous week to do the same job and it had gone again after just a couple of days. Tony has got it working perfectly again and I would not hesitate to recommend his efficient and prompt service. I will certainly be using him again in the future.

New Boiler and hot water cylinder installed. Job very well done, always here when he said he would be and always picks up the phone if there are questions (which there always are when a new system is installed). The boiler which was recommended and installed was a "VIESSMANN" and we are very happy with it.

We needed a new toliet pan and Cistern installed, and once again we asked Tony to do the work, as we had used his services on installing a new central heating system. As on previous jobs, Tony was very professional and efficient, and totally reliable. We will be using his services again for future works, and would throughly recommend him.

Tony has carried out work here for some 15 years. He is very reliable and entirely trustworthy in the home. His work has ranged from minor plumbing repairs to fitting a new shower room. He has installed a new gas central heating boiler and services the system regularly. He uses good quality products from well-known suppliers. He has reliable and very competent trade associates who cooperate with him when necessary to complete new fittings and produce an excellent finish. A test of value for money is whether work is finished well and lasts. His does!

We are landlords based in Devon and contacted Bourne Plumbers in London. They very efficiently collected keys for the flat and returned them. They serviced the boiler and did a gas safety check and issued the certificates. They also changed a valve on a leaking radiator and unblocked the drain in the bath. They kept us up to date by phone or email and went to the property when they said they would. I would reccomend them highly and will use them again when we need to.

Our ageing boiler broke down on Christmas Day and I called Tony on Boxing Day. He came round pretty quickly and got it running again - though this could only be a temporary repair. This month he has installed a new Viessman boiler, flushed out the radiators, installed new thermostats, checked existing pipework and replaced a piece which was too narrow. As many reviewers have said, Tony is prompt, efficient, tidy, and knows his stuff. We are very happy with the new boiler and would certainly recommend him to others.

Our central heating system required a powerflush to clear the accumulated sludge built up over the years, which had led to one radiator being almost completely "cold", with "cold spots" on one or two other radiators. We found Anthony's business listed in Which? Local, and made the call. Anthony responded quickly, giving us a detailed estimate of what was required. Although not the cheapest quote, it proved to be good value for money. A date was agreed to commence the work, which initially was to introduce chemicals into the system to loosen the sludge, prior to it being flushed out of the system. When the powerflush itself was carried out, it was done professionally and efficiently, with minor disruption and mess. I would have no hesitation in using Anthony's company again for any future plumbing needs.

Can only confirm everything reported in the above recommendations - Tony Bourne offers a great service. He's very professional, courteous, hard working and offers good advice. When our 15+ years old boiler died he even lent us a number of heaters to keep us going. He installed a Viessen replacement boiler and carried out a system flush - our heating and hot water now seem to work much better than before. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I had another trader (recommended by a friend) come in to do a service on a boiler and it was disappointing - a leak was not detected (to add insult to injury it then cost a fortune for a simple bracket to be replaced). I turned to Which?Local and found Tony Bourne listed - the prompt service was very welcome (he came out within a couple of hours). The fix was applied on the spot and I do not think that the cost was that prohibitive given the peace of mind that I got (and I think that these services are generally expensive). At least I can now trust someone to do the job properly. Highly recommended and will use Tony's services again I am sure.

Called Tony late afternoon and he was fixing my leak 4 hours later, in less than 30 minutes it was all fixed. Highly recommend. Good value, fast and clean.

I have used this firm twice in six months, most recently on 24th January to install a new Viessen bolier in substitution for a defective Woircester boiler and to flus out the centralk heating system. The system now woirks much better than it has done for may years

Tony installed a new viessmann boiler including a full system flush. Tony's service was prompt, professional and came in slightly under budget. I'd never heard of a viessman boiler before Tony recommended it, but I'm very pleased with the boiler as it is compact, efficient and very quiet. Tony displayed an excellent level of customer service, he explained all the costs in detail and left my home clean and tidy. I highly recommnend Bourne plumbing and viessmann boilers.
