Robert and his team have done a couple of short projects for us: fitting smart thermostats on the central heating (and then servicing the rest of the system); and sorting out some leaky cisterns. He's been completely reliable. Sensible prices based on their time and the cost of materials (which they sourced). ...also a delightful and flexible approach, so they put up a shower screen while they were on site - they were completely happy to help where they could.

I contacted Bricks & Water after reading the glowing reviews on here. Unfortunately my experience was not a good one. I explained the job to them and after being told how expensive it would be I was repetedly asked to take a lot of photos of my boiler and to read the terms and conditions of their website. I duly took the required photos and emailed them, as requested. There was no response to my email, so after several days I contacted them again asking for a reply. Again several days passed and to-date I've heard nothing back from them. I can only imagine that they weren't interested in the job after all. It's disappointing to have my time wasted taking photos and reading T&C's when they can't even be bothered to respond to an email.

If, like me, you've found in the past that locating a decent plumber is about as easy as getting your hands on the Holy Grail, then fear not - just call Bricks and Water. We recently had an issue with a leaking tap and a faulty water valve at my place, and we called Bricks and Water. The service provided was nothing short of fantastic. I use Bricks and Water to complete my annual Gas Safety Certs on a rental property I have. Robert is fantastic to deal with and always gets the certificates back to me that day. I called in Robert for work to be done in the home of a vulnerable family as I know he has great people skills. All work was done with the customers special needs in mind. When one aspect of the work presented a challenge (drilling into a wall) they kept us informed and returned the next day to complete the job with great efficiency. They ensured that even the smallest of jobs (eg installing child safety gates) to the plumbing and decorativing work and installing curtain rails and door locks etc were done in a timely manner and they left the premises clean and tidy. Robert checked in throughout the time the work was ongoing to help where needed to ensure the work could be completed quickly so as to prevent as little distruption as possible within the household of his customer. Robert and Ricky have great work ethics and have the right temperament for all types of customers and this is why I knew they would be the right people to do the work for this vulnerable family. Not the first time we’ve used Bricks and Water and whilst it’s never great having plumbing issues to sort out, it’s always a pleasure dealing with Robert and his team. I find household maintenance issues pretty stressful but Robert and Ricky are so nice to deal with you can’t help but relax. They tell you clearly what the problem is, what the options are and then just get on with it. Totally trustworthy of course. The main issue was the replacement of part of a leaking drain pipe with repointing work which was dealt with efficiently by Ricky. Robert sorted out a minor issue with a blocked sink. Ricky attempted to fix a dripping tap but it turned out that the taps actually need replacing so that can wait until next time. He also tightened up a wobbly kitchen sink tap which I’d just discovered was leaking under the kitchen sink but again that’s unfixable and needs replacing (which I already knew as Robert had told me so 18 months before). After care excellent as well - Robert gave me a call the following day to say that he’d reflected on my tap problem and I could actually replace just the taps (the bits you twist) rather than the bit the water comes out of as well. A nice courtesy as I won’t be replacing the taps for a couple of months. I’d happily recommend Bricks and Water.

Robert and his team have just finished painting my flat. I first used them to solve a plumbing conundrum and now painting, what can’t they do. They’re friendly, get things done and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Robert and his team are fantastic! We needed some smaller jobs (changing taps) that needed attention. His team arrived promptly and we’re both very courteous and professional the entire time. He didn’t waste any time faffing around and got straight to things and had us sorted in no time. Robert from bricks & water was a godsend I was live in Sussex and had to sort out a flat in London getting it ready to rent for my brother after a family death. I had been let down by trades men and then found Robert who took on the whole projects dealing with roof, gas, electric and even a deep clean. I had a blocked drain emergency over the Easter weekend and Robert was very helpful and came out at short notice. It was a difficult job but Robert got it sorted for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

I phoned this company and spoke to a lady who tried to get through to the plumbers but they were busy so she said they would call me. 24hrs later and I hadn't received a call, so I phoned back, the lady who answered found my enquiry from the day before and she spoke to the plumbers who were again busy. She passed me a request to, read the Ts&Cs on the site, photograph the work required and provided an email address to send the photos to; all of which I did along with an explanation of the work required. On 13th May having still heard nothing I forwarded the email with the photos to their main email address pointing out that they still had not contacted me and including the sentence "I still haven't had a reply from anybody. If you cannot undertake the work for some reason could someone please let me know, if you can do the work could we please talk to arrange a viable date/time?" 4 days later and still nothing, I have now arranged for another plumber to do the work.

Bricks and Water are a very professional team of heating engineers and gas fitters. They completed our landlord gas safety certificate in a professional, friendly way. It is easy to arrange an appointment and the engineer arrived on time. They told me in advance how much it would be, and then invoiced me for the same amount. In emergency situations they are incredibly responsive We would recommend Bricks and Water.

I have used Bricks & Water as and when over the years and always recommend their services to neighbours. The heating in our house was not working across all floors as it should. Within 24 hours of me sending a text message for assistance, a phone call was returned and a same day visit was organised. The issue was a blown fuse, so fixed immediately. And then a boiler service done thereafter (it needed one as it had been a few years). The staff know their stuff so I trust them.

We had a really positive experience with Rob and his team - they came to look at our boiler really promptly and chased up getting parts for us to fix the issue asap. They also kindly brought us a fan heater in the interim so we weren't freezing in the house, really kind!

Robert and Robert from Bricks and Water were faced with a tricky replacement and installation but cheerfully and very efficiently completed the work to my entire satisfaction. They had to create a new “service hatch” to fit the new (slightly higher) macerator into a small space and this obviated the need to remove tiling in the bathroom. Very good service. Bricks and Water recommended to me by a friend for some bathroom work, but this was a semi emergency and I felt able to phone Robert on a Sunday evening! He arrived in under an hour following my call on Monday morning and unblocked the sink without making any mess at all! It was fairly tricky. Robert is extremely helpful and pleasant; the work was undertaken in a very professional manner with no hidden extras. We hadn't agreed a price beforehand but Robert did point out on site his rates. They were not excessive, in my opinion, for an emergency service of such good quality!

I have used Robert twice, once with a leak from my flat into the one below and one from the one above into mine. In both cases, he's solved the problem quickly when others have missed it. Very pleased to have come across Bricks and Water when trying to find the right company to detect a leaking wall (internal pipe so need a plumber or coming from outside so more in the building line). The lovely Robert came to visit, check it out as well as my various other plumbing niggles (just moved in). Sorted out the next day by Ricky even though in the between Xmas and New Year period. A callout to fix a broken boiler evoked an extraordinarily quick and effective response. Robert from Bricks & Water came to our home today, a Friday, at lunchtime, about an hour after my callout. He had managed to include a visit to our home for a quick look-see, by a quick rescheduling of his jobs. He was able to identify the problem, and fix it, quickly, during that visit, saving my family and me any worry about, and waiting for, getting back our hot water and central heating, over a weekend. I've learned from good experiences to trust Bricks & Water for great customer-friendly responsiveness and communications; excellent work, and transparent and very reasonable pricing. I recommend highly.

My hot water supply had failed and I phoned Bricks and Water getting through very easily. Robert was then able to attend promptly. He quickly established that the immersion heater had failed and that the hot water cylinder - which had been damaged some years ago by a cowboy plumber- was no longer useable. It was no easy job to extract the tight-fitting cylinder from the cupboard into which it was built but Robert completed this quickly and efficiently. He gave excellent advice on options for replacement including what would be involved in the alternative possibility of finishing the job of connecting up a gas boiler etc which had been left uncompleted a few years previously. Overall, I found the cost very reasonable and really appreciated Robert's friendly and communicative approach.

We had a couple of jobs to sort, managed to add the problem tap just prior to visit as we discovered the problem only the day before! This was a huge relief as it was leaking into the cupboard below. The person attending was very helpful and courteous and took great care to remove the pieces of broken tile from the bath.

This is the second time in about 6 weeks that I have had occasion to call on the services of Bricks & Water. The owner of the company, Robert Wright, couldn't have been more helpful. on the first occasion I had a blocked sink which I couldn't clear. Within the hour Robert himself was at my door and expertly cleared the blockage and he didn't use any chemicals. Once again today he came to my rescue to fit an induction hob as the supplier of the hob decided they were unable to install it. By mid afternoon I had the new hob up and running. I have always found the tradespeople from Brick & Water to by pole, tidy and above all knowledgeable.

Oven failed. Called them as they'd previously done a good service on our gas boiler B&W quickly identified that the oven fail had triggered a very unusual fault in the breaker box. Very experienced guys located the fault, fixed the box with minimum hassle. Also checked the box was ok before moving on. They worked quickly and really knew their stuff. Reasonable price too. Would definitely use them again.

In response to our broken drain pipe, which crashed onto the conservatory roof, Robert arrived speedily. The pipe was replaced, quicker than expected. He followed up with a piece of work we raised, all done a day earlier than first indicated. A good and efficient job done. A welcome, positive and cheery response in the middle of Lockdown.

I moved into my new flat in London over the weekend, having just arrived from Spain and facing quarantining at home due to the covid pandemic. When I arrived, the heating wasn't working and I was worried I'd have to spend the full quarantine shivering! Robert Wright from Bricks & Water was amazing and was able and willing to help me figure things out over the phone/video. He helped me (virtually) figure out the boiler. We spoke on the phone on Saturday evening, he reviewed videos I sent him, gave me instructions, texted me reminders and eventually, we got the heating going. He even called me back on Monday to check that everything was working and that I was okay. Bricks and Water were employed to repair and paint the external woodwork and sills of a Victorian property and also repair a parapet wall above the roof. A great job was done with great customer service.

Had a problem with the inlet valve of my London flat. I could not get there and rang Robert. He sized up the situation, took the initiative and went round and did it. I needed a plumber fairly quickly to just do a fairly small repair to a toilet, and the appointment had to fit in with my schedule. I was notified by the neighbour living below me that there was a leak. Robert was lovely, he arrived very quickly and located the leak was caused by the washing machine hose. He provided a report for the washing machine manufacturer as the leak was caused by engineer sent by the manufacturer. I would definitely use again.

I had a boiler failure, which Robert (wearing a face shield) tried to resolve, until we agreed it had co-morbidities, severe underlying conditions. Robert charged me very gently for his time. I was experiencing problems with my boiler this afternoon and lost both the heating and the hot water. I called Bricks and Waters and spoke to Robert who was kind enough to assist me over the phone and I was able to resolve the issue by sending him pictures of the boiler and the pressure unit. There was no charge for this help over the phone and he was very efficient and the problem was sorted in a matter of minutes. Will definitely use this company again the next time I need my boiler checked at my home.

We had a water leak into our kichen. Following investigation it turned out to be a rusted steel pipe above the kitchen. Expert diagnosis discovered it was possible to do a more minor repair as pipe was actually redundant and from old pipe work leading down to outside the house so saving very major pipework! The work was done efficiently and they speedily came and repaired. They were very courteous and helpful.

I needed the gas boiler serviced, an important job, but not an emergency. I phoned on Monday and the boiler was serviced on Wednesday morning. I was told when to expect the engineer, he was on time and efficient. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. Robert was conscientious from the first telephone call until the job was complete at keeping in touch.

Bricks and Water has solved our plumbing problems for the last three years. These have included fast action mending a dodgy boiler, installing a gas oven (from Currys who were supposed to do the job but didn't...) and most recently an early morning emergency with a gushing hot water tap in the kitchen. Extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy - he fixed the boiler in less than 15 minutes, said it had several years left of life in it and recommended a clean and a service. Disaster struck- the ancient w.c. broke and the next day the drains blocked. Robert dealt promptly and efficiently with these problems and did a lovely job. Would certainly use again.

What a delight - Robert replaced a boiler for me and the whole thing was trouble-free from start to finish. Robert replaced our broken boiler which started leaking while we were on holiday. He stop the leak on the very day it was discovered by our cleaner and arranged for a rapid replacement. Completed work on leaking shower, bath and radiators within 24 hours. Realised that the reason there was no gas or hot water was because the tenant had allowed the money on the gas card to run out - and that they simply needed to ring the gas supplier to reconnect. we needed access to the attic to get at squirrels living there. Robert and his team rapidly moved into action creating a hatch, and laying boards for the pest control technician to crawl on. Then when the intruder was vanquished they came back at once to seal the opening, so that no others would occupy the vacated space.

I've been using Bricks and Water for 15 years... they have repaired and replaced boilers, unclogged drains, installed loft ladders and undertaken two major renovation jobs for me. They are friendly, neat and highly competent. Most recently they attended a blocked drain... that ended up requiring 4 days' work, taking up floors and replacing some pipework. A big job - with a very reasonable invoice at the end of it.

We used another plumber before Bricks and Water... and he wasn't finishing the job so he could come back again.. and charge another call. We got frustrated and call Bricks and Water and job sorted in 10 minutes. VERY HONEST TRUSTFULL AND KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING . Guys really there are lot of thieves in the area. Don't look any further you found the best plumber in the area.

First class service, reasonable prices, no job too small or to large, I needed a gas safety certificate was going to take a day off work but they came round after I had finished work at 7.30pm. Highly recommended if I have any other work that needs doing will definitely pass it there way.

We had bricks and water come out on Saturday the 5th of January for an urgent matter! They was so friendly and helpful! would defiantly recommend!

B&W came to fix a leak in a water pipe behind a cavity wall that was in turn behind a fitted wardrobe. They arrived quickly, removed the fitted wardrobe, accessed the leak and mended the pipe. After a drying out period they returned to secure the pipework, repair the wall and replace the fitted wardrobe and skirting boards. We were impressed with their capacity to tackle a job which included tasks outside of pure plumbing, with a flexibility that many plumbers would not achieve or at least do not advertise. We would heartily recommend them.

Can't really fault them, at property within 90 mins of contacting, job done speedily and done well. Used them once a few years back, did a good job then too. Prices are what they are, i daresay there may be cheaper options out there, but this was nothing outrageous and the job was done very professionally, I have paid more for much worse outcomes elsewhere. Gets a thumbs up from me.

It's such a pleasure to find a company nowadays that really cares about the customer. Bricks & Water saved me in a plumbing crisis ages ago when my outside tap got stuck full on, and I was about to go away a couple of hours later. Tall Robert came round and fix straight away, which was great. I was also happy with the price of the work. I was back in touch in September 2018 when I had a lot of niggling plumbing problems (half broken kitchen tap, stiff bath hot tap, stuck plug in bathroom sink and a mad dripping shower). There are two Bricks & Water Roberts; Scottish Robert, the owner, who is a great laugh and very kind and helpful. Tall Robert is an impressive two metres tall! And a really good, fast, thoughtful and thorough worker. Anyway, all the problems were fixed and I am very happy with the work and the price - we ended up completely replacing the old shower. I have a few other issues in our old house, and plan to use Bricks & Water for that work. Great service, prompt and friendly, really good communications. Highly recommended.

Robert did a great job fixing our cistern. He arrived within an hour of calling him and he fixed the problem straight away. He's also got a cracking sense of humor.

Really helpful and also acted on my behalf with regards to the Council. Very relieved and grateful to Robert for sorting out the emergency problem.

I phoned Bricks and Water and explained that, because of a leak causing problems with my neighbour downstairs, I had turned the water off and found myself with no water and no loo... They were extremely understanding and I was immediately put through to Robert, who said he would be with me within an hour. In fact, he was with me within 10 mins! He immediately identified the problem, went to get the part required and fitted it there and then. It was lovely to find a good plumber with lots of experience and it was very re-assuring for someone who knows nothing about plumbing! Robert is also very friendly and easy going. He told me to not hesitate to call him back if there was any further problem and so I did when I saw something which did not seem quite right! Robert realised I was very anxious when I talked to him on the phone and he came very quickly. He inspected everything: loo, pressure of the boiler (which was too low and he corrected), bath, etc. He was very thorough and concluded I should not worry ! So, I felt relieved as I know Robert can be trusted. A great plumber, highly recommended!

When I phoned Bricks and Water, I left a message on their machine and they returned my call within 5 minutes. Additionally, they helped me to resolve the problem over the phone with no charge! They were very polite, helpful and honest. I can;t recommend this company enough as they helped me reinstall my hot water by giving me some small tips over the phone!

Bricks & Water came to replace a stopcock which was causing me to be anxious as it was leaking in an unstable way. They arrived promptly with the necessary part and carried out the work efficiently and in a friendly manner - they also offered to complete a small job for my neighbour within the hour and at no extra cost. Their prices are transparent and clearly set out on their website. I'm very pleased to have found Bricks & Water and will certainly be using them again.

Robert and his team are my go to people for any plumbing issues. They are reliable, speedy and honest. I asked them to look at my washing machine, which, it turns out had been installed incorrectly by the supplier, whilst on another job. It never feels like too much trouble. I would recommend them.

I always turn to Brick & Water if I have a plumbing, gas or building problem. Not only do they fix it but they are great fun. They are also very transparent about pricing, so no surprises!

I phoned at 11.00, receptionist took details. Plumber called back within 10 minutes and confirmed visit. 15 minutes later he was at the door! Job assessed quickly and efficiently, work begun straight away. Had to leave to get a specific part, but back within 45 mins. All work completed and tested within 90 mins. Excellent!

We found water dripping through the study ceiling. It was coming from a radiator upstairs. We called our home emergency firm but finally gave up & called Robert Wright at Bricks & Water who had serviced our boiler. He came quickly, shut down the leak and reported that the radiator had split. In 48 hours he sourced another radiator and his colleague came to put in place. This is a first class firm with a first class service and we are very grateful to him for his help!

The plumbers from Bricks and Water came round to fix a leak in my flat, the source of which was not clear, and I only knew about it as it was affecting the flat beneath me. Two plumbers came round and swiftly identified the source of the problem and fixed it. They were reliable, prompt and very courteous. The plumbers were knowledgeable and very experienced, and in all of my dealings with this company I felt that it was an efficient and well-run operation.

I have used this trader a few times. The Bricks and Water team have helped us with plumbing matters, gas leaks and painting/decorating. They are polite and helpful - providing clear explanations as to what the job requires. I have been happy with the quality of their work on each occasion.
