My requirement was for the installation of a solar & battery system, together with an EV charger at my house. The system should provide a ROI of less than 10 years, and be capable of full home back up in case of power outages. I had thoroughly researched things myself and concluded that a system based around a Tesla Powerwall 3 was probably the best choice for me. The EV charger chosen was a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro. I approached 4 local installers for quotations. Whilst all were professionally accredited, Bright Sky Solar Ltd shone through, so I decided to give them the go ahead. Steve and his team expertly installed the 14 solar panels & battery system (Tesla Powerwall 3 + Gateway) together with the EV charger. The quality of the installation was very high. I found that they were all very easy to deal with; they answered all my questions. The job was done to schedule and on budget. They dealt with the DNO application on my behalf, and provided documentation to support my application for payment for exported energy. Overall I am very satisfied with the outcome. I would not hesitate in recommending this company.

The team at Bright Sky, Steve & Shawn, performed honestly and professionally throughout the quoting, configuring, and installation process. This gave us great confidence in the advice and work completed, and Steve patiently answered my numerous questions. Our job was difficult because our roof is extremely steep and challenging, but the team rose to the challenge and, with us offering lots of cold drinks, installed 19 solar panels. We could not be more delighted with how the finished panels look and work. A Tesla battery system was installed in our garage, and the solar panel cables were very neatly and invisibly taken through our attic and into our garage. I had 12 Aiko all black solar panels installed, a sigenstor inverter and 10 Kwh battery with a Hypervolt pro3 ev charger. Steve and his team were excellent. He gave the most information prior to doing a site review so that when he did arrive he could quickly see that the installation of the battery and ensuring that the wires were well hidden to the battery, fusebox and car charger, was going to be difficult. So his sent his electrician, Shaun, prior to the date, to assess the task. Steve gave me a comprehensive understanding of electricity tariffs and the best way to charge my new electric vehicle and how the solar works. His estimates are honest and realistic. The installation process is complex, needing scaffolding, deliveries of bulky and weighty components and coordination of teams with different skills. Even all the boxes and plastic rubbish were collected leaving my home tidy. All this required careful planning and de-snagging. Shaun ensured patiently that my car charger was functioning and properly connected to my wifi before he left. Afterwards, there are various documents needed to be able to register for tariffs to be able to sell back your excess electricity to the grid which his wife Teresa produced within a few weeks. Steve andTeresa run an established company that has been around for 12+ years. The quality of their engagement is excellent and the service they provide is first class. We had a previous and frustrating experience with a company that came through our local council collective household tendering process. We have a slightly more complicated roof set up which Steve was completely able to design the best best system he could for. We've ended up with a system front an rear, that looks very smart, maximises the number of panels available and works very well. The back office support from Teresa is really efficient and we always knew what was happening and the subsequent paperwork, guarantees etc all arrive promptly. The scaffolding company they used were good to deal with and the fitting team were professional and incredibly tidy. The price was competitive and we are delighted with our system. Overall we would highly recommend Bright Sky Solar!

From the moment we spoke to Steve until the handover at the end everything went perfectly. Steve did a comprehensive survey and a very detailed quotation, which was explained to us. 17 solar panels to go with our Tesla battery installed over two days by two very professional, respectful and polite chaps. Scaffolding was up and down very quickly and everything was delivered to site as scheduled. Teresa is very efficient in the office and managed the paperwork beautifully. The panels were installed alongside our air source heat pump. We are delighted with everything and have been off-grid over this lovely sunny period. Would I recommend this company? Absolutely, and already have.

From the initial contact with Steve, delivery and construction of the scaffolding, together with the installation of the Solar Panels, the communication from all parties was excellent and professional as well as the short timescale from order. The installation team were very professional, friendly knowledgeable and fully explained the process. We had a complete solar energy system installed - 12 panels, 1 Powerwall 3 and Gateway 2. Steve was supportive, knowledgeable and helpful for the entire project discussing various options without pressure or bias. We had Steve round to quote for solar panels and a battery. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgable and answered all of our questions and concerns. He explained where the wires would be run to and from and put our minds at ease as we didn’t want an ugly maze of wires showing. His quote for solar panels, a battery and car charger were less than Octopus Energy. His reviews were excellent and a friend had used him and he was very pleased with his work. We accepted the quote and it was completed in two days. We are so pleased with the way it all went and are now reaping the rewards of using power generated from the sun. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my recent solar installation. From start to finish, the whole experience was smooth, easy, and genuinely enjoyable — which isn’t something I expected to say about getting solar panels fitted! Before choosing a company, I did a lot of research and spoke to plenty of different installers. It quickly became clear that there are some very questionable companies in the solar game — lots of pushy sales tactics, vague answers, and things that just didn’t sit right. Right from the start, and Steve did come to me highly recommended, we felt in safe hands and trusted hands too which is really important with such a big task of solar to the home, plus solar storage on site and ensuring maximum gains from the solar panels. Following calculations and eg the angle of the roof, roof size available for solar and what could be gained from 4 roof areas, we confirmed panels to east, south and west roofs, managed to piggy back on some existing scaffolding that was up and off we went. We were impressed by Steve when we first met him. He spent a generous amount of time with us answering our questions and explaining our options very clearly. We received a quote from another supplier, but chose to accept the quote from Steve because he was knowledgeable and approachable. We have had a 10Kw Solar Array for a number of years and wished to add Battery Storage. We selected Bright Sky to supply two EP11 batteries with a 6Kw Inverter. From my very first communication with them we have found them very helpful and willing to go the extra mile for a non-standard installation. (We needed to limit the overnight charging rate due to other high use electrical appliances). The permissions from DNO were quickly sorted and they gave fantastic advice on finding a better energy deal. The installation was carried out with ease and minimal disruption. Unfortunately the supplied MCB was faulty from the manufacturer (no fault of Bight Skys) but again they were more than accommodating and quickly replaced it. The system has now been working for a week and we now only buy electricity at night (saving over 18p/kw) and we can export excess Solar for more than we are buying electricity for. We would highly recommend this company.

We obtained a number of quotations for a solar panel installation. It's a jungle! Bright Sky Solar were not the cheapest to quote - but they are local to us and informative; plus to date they have been most helpful and hopefully on-hand should the need arise. Their chosen installers used scaffolding (a number of prospective providers don't). Installation took under 2 days with the battery and inverter being neatly placed within a small cupboard and was completed without mess and undue fuss! Choosing a solar panel installation and the "benefits" is something of a learning curve. Bright Sky Solar have always helpful and responsive with our queries before and after the installation. I'm confident we made the right choice in using them in what is a very crowded marketplace of solar panel panel installers

From the initial conversation with Steve (company director) I was very impressed with his understanding of solar systems. He was able to provide an initial scheme of panels, battery and inverter. Using this as a starting point we fine tuned the system based on our requirements and budget. We finally arrived at 16 PV panels a 6Kwh inverter and 5Kwh battery. Installation took place within 7 days and the whole process was completed in a very timely manner. The team who installed the system were friendly and knowledgeable taking under 2 days to fully implement and commission the system. Throughout the process Steve was very helpful and attentive. He helped with the initial delivery when we stored everything in the garage taking away pallets and packaging. Furthermore he called in when the team were installing the system checking that everything was in order and I was happy with progress. We are 5 days in since the system went live and checking the data from the App thus far I have produced more electricity than has been used… with the surplus going back to the Grid. I await a final document from the DNO ( electricity supplier) and then can change tariff to access payment for the excess supply. Overall I would highly recommend Bright Sky Solar, brilliant service..

We found this contractor to be personable and reliable. We had specific requirements re the location of equipment and wiring routes, the contractor listened to our requests and accommodated them. The booking process was simple and the team turned up on the day that had been booked. The team worked diligently and professionally. They were focused on getting the job done and doing it properly. On completion of the project, the administration paperwork followed promptly. Building Regulation certification and other certifications required by the energy company all arrived within days. We are extremely happy with the completed work.

Brightsky have carried out several installations over the past few years for me, starting with a GivEnergy Battery in 2021, Solar Panels in 2022 and an additional battery in 2024. All work has been carried out professionally and within agreed timescales, and the site left clean and tidy upon completion of the work. Communication with Steve has always been first class and I would have no hesitation in using them again, and I thoroughly recommend this company to others considering renewable energy projects.

I reviewed quotes from three companies offering solar batteries, but none of them seemed to be aware of the Regulations. None of them convinced me that they were good enough, either lacking proper registration with either of the two accreditation bodies, NAPIT or NICEIC, or seemed unaware of the FIT registration requirements with the FIT Register, via the current FIT agent. My usual electrician doesn't offer this service, but recommended Bright Sky Solar, who provided a competitive quote and who were obviously aware of all regulatory requirements. A Tesla Powerwall 2 and Gateway 2 were installed in one day, and the workplace was left clean and tidy. The installation functions as well as expected. I need backup power for my disability equipment, but it will also be possible to purchase our power on cheap night time rates. An NICEIC installation certificate, a Building Regulations Certificate of Compliance, a G99 Fast Track DNO connection certificate, and a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate have all been provided. At all times Steve Howie of Bright Sky Solar has communicated well, and I would not hesitate to commend their work to anyone serious about having a solar installation.
