Our downstairs electricity would occasionally trip, not necessarily when turning on an appliance - once we discovered the electricity had turned itself off on our return from a holiday, although luckily not for long. A possible problem had been diagnosed with an RCD in our fusebox / consumer unit and we had been recommended to get a new metal one with individual circuit breakers for the appliances etc. On a Monday morning, tripping occurred twice for no apparent reason. I rang Bryden and they came round to provide an estimate for supplying and fitting a replacement fuse box and also a broken bathroom extractor fan. They fitted both and returned within the week to test the working of the new fuse box and appliances; they also provided advice on another possible problem, for which we will seek their help later in the year.

My storage heater in the living room died a couple of weeks before Christmas during the cold snap so I rang Bryden and asked if they could fit a new one asap and as soon as I can get one delivered, I was told that that would not be a problem, unfortunately, due to the Christmas period I was not able to get one delivered until after Christmas, it got delivered just after the new year so I contacted Bryden again and they arranged to come and install it a couple of days later.. They arrived and were very courteous and chatty, I was worried that the new heater was not going to fit where the old one did but they told me not to worry, they made it fit perfectly so I need not have worried.. I was very impressed with their workmanship and expertise, showed me how to work the heater, left no mess and even took away the old one and the box and packaging that the new one came in.. thoroughly recommend Bryden 100%.. Bryden Electric responded quickly and clearly to my initial enquiry. This was about the supply and fitting of a security porch light. I had to postpone the arrangements due to the Xmas period, but the work was carried out speedily and efficiently on the above date. The price quoted for this job included all new fittings and materials and was good value for money. I will definitely consult this company when the need next arises.

This is not the first time my son and I have used Bryden Electrical. In my most recent request for work involved the Electrical Inspection of a property I wishes to buy. At 2.00am I put a call in to Bryden, all my mains fire alarms were screeching. I am some distance away but they were here in 30 minutes. Quick, efficient, sorted the problem very quickly. Thorough and explained what he was doing. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you Hamilton Bryden.

Lights out, the RCD had tripped. Every time I tried to turn back on off went the power. Couldn't even boil a kettle. Called Bryden having found them on this site and they were on site promptly as requested and identified and resolved the problem quickly, provided professional advice and didn't try making further unnessary work .
