I would strongly recommend BRS based on our experience. We sought quotes in October 2025 from two local Which-recommended builders for work on our roof and repainting all external window frames. BRS’s quoted price was materially the cheaper, and he specified the date in March 2026 on which they would start the work – which they duly did, to the day. During the job we decided to extend the work to repainting the outside walls of the house, and Mark not only quoted a very reasonable price for this (when others might have been tempted to ice their cake), but was accommodating during our indecision over which colour to choose. Indeed, throughout the work he was extremely pragmatic and easy to deal with – as were his staff, who were friendly, diligent and kept everything tidy and ship-shape throughout. The work was completed in exemplary fashion, and even extended to some additional paintwork for which no extra charge was levied. Hence our satisfaction and enthusiastic recommendation to others.

I have used Mark and his team for two major property refurbishments, as well as a number of smaller projects over the years, and I would not hesitate to recommend him. The first project was a major refurbishment of our home, including a complete roof replacement, structural works, brickwork and repointing, new windows, internal walls, plasterboarding and decorating. The second was an extensive refurbishment of another property involving a new roof, structural works, repointing, windows, multiple bathrooms, a new kitchen, plasterboarding, decorating and many other aspects of the build. Mark and his team were brilliant - from giving a sensible quote for all the work needed - their team were polite, clean and tidy and a joy to have worked with. I was the interior designer on a whole-flat renovation in North London. The property was a very poor, late-90s conversion of part of a Victorian villa. The BRS took great care to actually fix the previous design and structural shortcomings before undertaking a top-to-bottom renovation. I found them to be a skilful and responsive team of tradespeople. Very easy to work with. The result was a well-executed success and, in the end, quite beautiful.

BRS redecorated a hallway, staircase and room in our home. These had been damaged by water ingress from our neighbour's house. The work was started on the date agreed, completed on time and to the agreed budget. The work was done to a good standard. Their workmen were careful to clear up each evening and were both friendly and cheerful. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Mark was very easy to communicate with the set up the job. His team arrived on time and did a good job, even doing an extra bit for no charge.

Mark communicated everything clearly including diagnosis and cost of the issue, start and end dates. The knowledge, experience and skills of the team was very high. They were considerate and really good at minimising intrusion and mess and were always polite, punctual and friendly.
