My name is Ross Coen, Owner and Founder of Bumblebee Plumbing and Heating LTD. We have been operating since 2015 and we are going from strength to strength. We now have 8 vans on the road and a full-time office. We have numerous accolades for our excellent work.

Having been recommended by neighbours and checking out comments on Facebook I contacted Bumblebee who offered choice of appointments. Excellent communications. Explined clearly the fixed price and scope of work. Andy arrived on time and completed work thoroughly and efficiently whilst taking the time to explain to me the current condition of our boiler and various checks involved in the service. Very impressed with the level of customer care. Will definitely use again and happy to pass on my recommendations.

I recently used Bumblebee to help resolve an ongoing issue with my heating system, as well as to install a Hive smart thermostat. Ross came out to carry out the work, and I have genuinely never been more impressed with a tradesperson. To start with, the property layout and existing heating controls were quite complex. I’d had a recurring fault ever since moving in, and despite speaking to a couple of other companies previously, nobody had been able to pinpoint the real cause. Ross took the time to properly survey everything, carefully tracing the system and explaining what he was checking and why. He eventually identified the problem as two failed electrical control boxes – something I assumed would require a dedicated electrician. Not only did Ross spot the issue quickly, he replaced both units on the same visit, tested everything thoroughly, and made sure the system was operating safely and correctly. After that, he also set up the Hive system for us. What really stood out was the care he took at the end: he recorded a short personalised video walking through how the heating and hot water settings worked, how to use the Hive app, and what to do if anything ever needed adjusting. It was incredibly helpful and something I’ve genuinely never seen before. Professional, knowledgeable, polite, and absolutely focused on doing the job properly. I would recommend Bumblebee – and especially Ross – without hesitation. A first-class service from start to finish.

Ross came out to do a diagnosis on what I thought was a faulty radiator. He is very knowledgeable and quickly identified the problem and advised on the best course of action. Arriving to do the work at a time that suited me, I was kept informed throughout. Very thorough, easy to get on with, and tidy. The adaptation to our boiler is a total game changer! Great support from Vicky in the office too.

Turned up at the notified time with all the parts and equipment to complete the installation, was friendly, approachable and professional, upon completion, checked and tested the system before recommissioning and removed all rubbish. Would highly recommend.

Boiler repair and replacement

Our boiler failed (no heating or hot water) so bumblebee came out and carried out a temporary repair which we agreed with at no charge to us which kept us going until a replacement could be sourced and fitted. As our boiler was quite old and beyond economical repair we were offered three options by Ross, once we had chosen the option best for us the boiler was ordered and fitted that weekend. In summary the service was friendly from both office staff, Ross and his engineers. We are very satisfied with the work that has been carried out.
