C & L Windows and Conservatories Limited

We used C & L Windows again recently to replace some windows. Previously the company had replaced our front door and surround (great work) and other windows. At every stage the service is superb. Making an appointment to review the work required, receiving a comprehensive quotation quickly, having a thorough survey and then two days of work to install the windows. Everybody involved from C & L Windows was brilliant, from office staff to the men who completed the work. We cannot praise them highly enough.

Visited the showroom to choose a new front door. Alex was absolutely charming and so friendly. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the products and his willingness to answer all my ‘stupid’ questions. No hard selling whatsoever, just a good honest and fair quote. Went ahead and I was called a few weeks later to arrange the fitting for the week after. Emma was so accommodating and helpful when doing this for me. Fitters arrived on time, so respectful and polite and great sense of humour which I greatly appreciated as my husband had recently passed away. Immaculately fitted door, every detail looks perfect and all the sealants beautifully matched in with the colour of the door. Absolutely everything was cleaned and hoovered up afterwards leaving me with nothing to do except admire my new front door. I'm absolutely delighted.

2 breaches of health and safety, broken bathroom tiles and a team that don't listen to the customer.Had 4 windows changed and asked for EVERYTHING to be changed from brown to white.Despite even pointing to the cills,my cills were not replaced.Apparently that was my fault for not saying I wanted the cills changed.Salesman's fault for not guiding me. Had 2 broken bathroom tiles and wasn't even told.My kids almost cut themselves before I found them.Was without child restrictors for over 2 wks when we have a disabled child. When asking for what I asked for & threatening a negative review I was accused of blackmail! Trim was used to hide broken tiles but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Avoid and use another company!

C&L Windows have replaced our back door and added a protective front door but ensured we could keep the original Victorian door behind. Looks fantastic and works well so immediately cuts the draught, increases security but still allows us the inside view of our stained glass wooden door. I noticed a dent in the UPVC after a few days which must have happened during manufacture and customer services promptly arranged a lanel replacement and it was fitted two weeks later. They also took time to adjust the back door to improve the fit after things had settled a bit. Friendly staff, good advice, prompt service, clean quick installation.

A big thank you for the professionalism and care from the very first contact to completion. The work was carried out to schedule with total professionalism and completed to a very high standard. I cannot recommend the company highly enough.

On schedule and on budget. They all worked very professionally to a very good standard. Recommend to us by a family member. We were able to see the work which was done for them. If we had any questions there was always someone you could contact, very helpful.

From the first phone call through to the final invoice I have received the best of service from ALL the personnel that I engaged with. I and my wife are particularly pleased with the quality of the windows & patio door, the house looks so much better now. It also feels warmer and quieter too. I was quite apprehensive about the installation itself, fearing the amount of redecoration that would follow. How wrong I was! The installers, Mike & Sean, were an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The quality of their workmanship was absolutely first class and the house, inside and out, was left clean and tidy every day. I am a tad perfectionist in my DIY but honestly I cannot find a single fault with their work. They are a credit to your company. Would I recommend this company? Absolutely yes. The price was very competitive and the work completed on time too. No issues with giving a 5 star review.

We used C & L as we had known a member of the staff for many years who we approached to see if they could supply the design and colour of front door we required.We spent some time in the showroom and came away with an estimate which appeared to be perfect.After some adjustments the design was finalised and a fixing date arranged some months ahead which suited our arrangements.The two fitters arrived at the exact time and date, completed the job in 3.5 hours with no disturbance leaving us with the perfect job and excellent finish, so good it was impossible to see that the door and glass panel had been changed. For a straight forward job that full filled all our expectations C & L can not be beaten.Highly recommended.

We had a conservatory and porch, both of which were leaking when it rained, as they had two separate roofs with an adjoining outside gutter. We were recommended to have a warm roof put on as the conservatory was too hot in summer and too cold in winter. We contacted C & L who came out and measured up and gave us a quote. They said they could incorporate the porch and conservatory under one roof. We had to have new frames, doors and windows as the old ones were not strong enough. Work started on the twenty eighth of February. The workmen were courteous at all times, worked hard, were very careful not to damage the flooring and let us know how things were progressing. It took just a little over four weeks but what a transformation. We are so pleased with everything. All the mess was cleared away and everything cleaned at the end. (we just had to get a painter in to paint the ceiling and walls the following week, and used one they recommended). The flooring survived with no damage despite the awful weather some days. It is so nice out there now- warm when the sun is shining without being too hot, and stays warm well into the evenings. We shall be able to spend a lot more time out there, even in the winter. Can't rate this firm highly enough. Compared to some other quotes we had they were not expensive, considering what a mammoth job it was. Thank you, all at C & L.

C & L Windows replaced 12 windows and 2 doors at our property. The salesman who visited was very knowledgeable and helpful and we were impressed that the work started on the 10th January which was the date given when we made the order the previous October. The window fitters were very polite and helpful carrying out their work in a professional, efficient manner and sequencing their work in a way that caused the least inconvenience to us. At every stage during the work they were very careful to protect fittings, furnishings and carpets, thoroughly cleaning up after each stage of the work. The work was completed in 5 days which was what we were originally told. All the windows and doors are well installed, look excellent and work well with no problems.

They provided the cheapest quote (from six local suppliers) while giving confidence that they fully understood our requirements. They turned up at the time promised and did a rapid, professional and clean job, consulting us about fitting decisions arising on the day and leaving everything in the state expected. Minor cosmetic damage to a couple of handles, on the delivered doors, was drawn to our attention and replacements refitted as soon as they could be ordered and delivered.

Very happy with product and fitting, so good to deal with professional. Everything in order clean in a timely manner can recommend and definitely, it’s not the last time I’m buying from this finest company. Thank you for your outstanding service.

The entire process was made very easy, right from the salesman and surveyor to the brickies and construction team. Everything has been done to the highest standards, it is hard to find fault with this company......and they were not expensive! Fully recommend C&L to anyone who is thinking about a conservatory. I for one do not like workmen in the house in case they do not come up to the standard I expect......I need not have been worried as these guys excelled in every department.

C and L fitted a new Solidor composite front door to our house. The quote was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful both on the phone and at the showroom. The schedule of works was very clear and the fitting was carried out as and when agreed. The fitter was very experienced and did a very neat and efficient job. We were very pleased with the standard of work and will use this company again for any further door or window work.

Work completed as expected within budget/expected cost. C&L were professional & business like throughout from originally arranging an appointment, attending/survey, etc. at the arranged times, and installation. Follow-up paperwork also received.

Compared to the numerous trades people, some very good, we have engaged to do various work to our house over the years, C & L were outstanding. The quotation process was helpful and efficient, the range of products excellent, but most of all their can-do attitude to some of our requirements which their competitors would or could not carry out, inspired confidence from the start. Excellent fitters, work carried out on time and with care to keep the place clean and tidy. The finished job surpassed our expectations and is just superb. Overall a most satisfactory experience.
