An excellent job by C & M Roofing replacing a very old Velux window in our loft room which we'd been warned hadn't been in use for years. We knew we had found the right people for the job from the start, especially when Cavan came out and wasn't deterred by the narrow Victorian proportions and access issues. Nothing was too much trouble; the quote was very fair; and on the day, everything was done super efficiently leaving us with no mess. Can't speak highly enough of C & M Roofing Services - we had put off replacing 40 year old Velux windows because we didn't know who to ask to do the job and because we imagined it would involve a lot of mess and disruption - not least that we couldn't see how the job could be done without damaging the bathroom tiles! We found C & M Roofing Services through the Velux website and can see why they are recommended. They came when they said they would, they took precisely the two days expected, dust sheeted everything necessary in the house and cleaned up after themselves. Bathroom tiles are still as good as new! Everything cost exactly what we had been quoted with no hidden extras. We might hope not to need a roofer again ourselves but wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else who does.

We invited Cavan to quote us on repairing two chimneys after seeing his good work on a house a few streets away. We have a 140 year old Victorian house and wanted someone with expert knowledge to repair them properly and sympathetically. We first met Cavan when he was working on a neighbour's property. He has since done a roofing job for our daughter and now for us. We are delighted with the Chimney work carried out by Cavan. This included repointing, replacing mortar caps around the base of pots, fitting ventilation cowls and air bricks on redundant flues and repairing flashings, etc. It has been completed as scheduled. I booked Cavan to replace my chimney stack in May and he began work on the pre-arranged date in October. Cavan and his co-worker are excellent time keepers. They’re friendly, polite and hard working. Cavan explained the ongoing work and kept me updated with its progress. They are very tidy workers and disposed of all the rubbish. The quality of the completed work is excellent. They even replaced two broken roof tiles which they found.

We had a slipped slate and a blocked gutter downpipe on a large old house with a complicated roof structure. I have used C&M before several years ago. Cavan is very pleasant to do business with so I didn't think twice about contacting him again. On this occasion he first checked the entire roof with a drone and then quickly had a ladder up, cleared the downpipe and replaced the slate. All done within half an hour. I'm very happy with the service and outcome.

Velux window replacement at a very reasonable price. Arrived early and worked very hard. Finished the same day. Excellent job and tidied up perfectly. Took all the detritus with them. Cavan even gave us a £120 discount because he had to postpone our job through no fault of his own.

C&M Roofing recently completed a large job at my home. All the fascias, soffits, barge boards and drainpipes were replaced, and a dry verge system fitted to the edges of the roof. The cladding on the dormer window was replaced, and a smaller job to replace barge boards on my outbuilding was also completed. I was very impressed with the quality of the job and the service I received. In particular, Cavan is an excellent communicator, he always let me know what would be happening and when, and was quick to respond to my questions by e-mail or text. While doing the job on the roof he also addressed some smaller issues that were noticed, for example replacing old mortar at the base of the chimney stack. He was very helpful in suggesting how the cladding on the dormer window could be re-designed in order to improve the appearance of the house. Both Cavan and Nick are very capable and reliable roofers and I would not hesitate in recommending them.

The house was built in 1935, and there were several unexpected problems that Cavan took in his stride, where a less experienced roofer might well have made mistakes.
