Cavan Maguire of CM Roofing has looked after our roofing requirements for several years now. Cavan came this time to look at our roof which had a leak. He quickly went up to the roof and noticed it was due to a cracked tile. He did not have to come back as he had the time and knowledge to replace the tile. CM roofing have previously carried out quality work for us including replacing ridge tiles on both our house and our garage.

Cavan carried out a full re-roof on our house over the last 2 weeks. Right from the start with the quote visit and to the end of the job I have been very impressed by Cavan’s professional manner, great communication and customer service skills. They have been punctual each day and have worked hard to complete the work in good time. Both workers were very polite and had a great attitude to their work. The quote was very competitive, and the finished product looks great. I would highly recommend CM Roofing.

Cavan came to investigate a leak - he quickly spotted that some flashing had slipped down leaving a gap for water to get in. He explained that it would be a time consuming and expensive job to take the former tiles off and redo the flashing but that he would try to reposition it without removing the tiles and hopefully stop the leak there and then. He managed to do this and resolve the problem, though he explained that we will probably need to get the dormer reroofed at some point and that would be the time to sort the flashing properly. Would recommend Cavan - prompt, knowledgeable and straightforward to deal with.

CM Roofing carried out re-roof and chimney stack rebuild. Cavan throughout was the ultimate professional, he provided a quote (not an estimate) and took time to explain every detail of the work that was to be done and a timescale for completion (weather permitting). The roof had hidden mysteries (problems) which did not faze Cavan, and I had every confidence that it would be done to a high standard. Cavan and Jake were polite and incredibly hardworking, always punctual and at the end of each day the site was left tidy. Overall I was immensely impressed with Cavan and his workmanship. I now have a beautiful new roof which doesn’t sag and leak. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cavan, he’s the best roofer and most honest you will ever find.

This is the second time we have had Cavan carry out roofing work for us, and we can confidently say from lots of experience that he is one of the top tradesmen working anywhere in the North West. His knowledge of roofing is simply second to none, and on his previous visit to us he solved a flat roof problem that other roofers couldn’t. He is punctual, polite, hardworking and as others have commented, you really could ‘leave the keys to your house with him!’ This time the job was to fix some dry verge capping. Cavan gave us a quick visit to assess the work, explaining what needed to be done and why. The quote was given which was very reasonable for the high standard of work that Cavan can provide, and he came to carry out the work at the earliest opportunity. He worked incredibly hard, and even stopped for 5 minutes to explain what he was doing and why it needed to be done. Amazing. In times when trusted tradespeople can be hard to find, our family feel incredibly lucky that we found Cavan, and we are sure that anyone else using his services will feel exactly the same. The work was carried out very skillfully and efficiently to a very high standard. Cavan arrived when he said he would, the work took just as long as he said it would and the price was exactly as quoted. I cannot fault the service or his professionalism. Cavan was courteous, attentive and knew exactly what he was doing. Cannot recommend CM Roofing highly enough.

Roofing companies often get a very bad press, however this company is a company that you can really trust. Cavan and his team really know what they are doing when it comes to roof problems. There are no semantics or sharp intakes of breath, they just get on and do the job and do it very professionally, in every respect. CM Roofing removed and rebuilt our damaged chimney and replaced the associated rotted soffit and other repair jobs on the roofline and gutters. We have used Cavan on a couple of occasions now both on our old house and new. I thoroughly recommend Cavan Maguire as as an excellent Roofer, he is... - Prompt... he came at the time/day that he promised, - Skillful.... he solved the problem (loose tiles), and fixed them effectively, - Friendly....good conversation whilst also efficient on the job, - Fair..... plans the job, and quotes/invoices it in an honest & fair price. We're on Ennerdale Drive in Congleton, some tiles had sagged down and were leaking, Cavan pulled them back and re-nailed them as needed. Great job.

Cavan and Jack completed replacement of a flat roof over a bay window, chimney stacks repointing and slate roof lifting and relaying plus some other work and repairs where necessary in keeping with a building aged over 150 years. Moved into my house 2 years ago, started to have various leaks & issues as the roof had been patched up by various contractors over the years. Been let down by other companies so contacted Cavan after seeing the company on the Which Trusted Traders website. He has sorted all the leaks including ones from Velux windows, dodgy lead work, he’s replaced ill fitting tiles & the leaking chimney stack. We asked CM Roofing to replace our roof following the failed efforts of three previous roofers to repair a serious number of leaks. Cavan was totally professional in his approach to the work. After many leaks CM Roofing was utilised to replace the flashing on our gable end. Cavan was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining clearly what was causing our problems and how he would rectify this. He even went above and beyond coming out to fix an unrelated roofing issue at a weekend. Work was weather dependent, but it was conducted at the very first opportunity that the climate allowed and completed quickly and efficiently. If we ever need any other roofing work done, Cavan will be our first port of call.

Cavan was recommended to me over 10 years ago and I wouldn’t use anyone else! We live in an old Victorian house with an awkward roof which over the years has had several issues. Cavan and his team are professional, polite, efficient and above all totally trustworthy and have dealt with all our roofing problems from slipped/ missing tiles, re-building chimney stacks and more recently resolving a leaking flat roof (constructed by a builder I definitely wouldn’t recommend)! In each instance Cavan will discuss the problem, show me photos and speak to me in detail about the work he needs to carry out in order to resolve the problem. I have never dealt with a tradesman before who clearly is so committed to his trade, knowledgeable, informed and up to date with new products!

Asked friends if they could recommend a roofer. A friend of a friend recommended CM Roofing as they had re-roofed his house several years' earlier and had done a great job. CM Roofing re-roofed our utility roof, which is about 20-25 m2. As suggested in the title, we were so impressed about how they conducted this business, such as; contacting us when agreed; turning up on time; providing options on how to resolve the leak, with clear rationale; resolving the problem with a re-roof; completing the work on-time; interacting with the planning officer; tidying up after completion of the work; value for money; courteous and polite. Over the years we have rarely encountered this level of professionalism from a tradesman. Would fully recommend CM roofing to family and friends.

CM Roofing performed roofing repair for us on our Edwardian house in Manchester. We approached Cavan after being let down by other roofing specialists and his responsiveness, communication and honesty were first class from the start. We were pleased with his high standards and professional work repairing our slates, gables and stacks but also his gold-standard customer service: keeping us informed and up-to-date before and during the works. I am writing this review now, three years on, as this aftercare continues to be exemplary. This is the third time we have used Cavan and CM Roofing. They fixed and replaced our porch which was dropping and had become unsafe. Great job as ever and really pleased with the outcome.
