About
Established in 1990 by our Managing Director Craig Shaw, Calderdale Sewer Services have provided drainage maintenance needs in and around Calderdale and West Yorkshire for 21 years.
Working with private companies, private & public housing providers, Calderdale and Kirklees Councils as well as sub-contracting to Yorkshire Water's principal operational contractor for the West Yorkshire region, DrainsAid, we have built an enviable reputation for swift, reliable and cost-effective service.
We have been the sole contractor maintaining the drainage systems of the social housing stock of Calderdale for 13 years, 3 years for the Council and the last 10 years in association with the current housing provider, Pennine Housing 2000.
We have also been the principal contractor carrying out drainage works in default of statutory notices for Calderdale Council for 11 years.

I called Calderdale Sewer Services up at 8.15am and they arrived by 8.50am. They assessed what we thought was a blocked soil pipe and they confirmed that it was. They carried out the work quickly, did a neat and tidy job and also cleaned and disinfected the area afterwards. I couldn't recommend them enough! Thank you.

Chris quickly sorted us out initially some weeks ago as we had a blocked sewer and did a fantastic job. During the initial work a couple of issues came to light regarding the pipes which we decided to have replaced. The costs were extremely reasonable and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company. The two gentlemen who attended yesterday to carry out the pipe replacement did a brilliant job, were friendly, efficient and left the premises clean and tidy. Nice to know there are people out there who are reliable and approachable. Well done guys, hopefully we won’t need you again!

Chris came when he said and within 24 hours. They came with the correct equipment, cameras and high pressure hoses. They found the soil pipe was blocked with a circular piece of wood. I found them very efficient and a capable especially the boss’s assistant Max. I would highly recommend them.

I rang Calderdale Sewer services my call was answered promptly. I was promised a call back with an ETA within 30 mins and the lady did so. I was told it would be the following day when the engineer could come which felt reasonable as I called at lunchtime. However Chris and Chris rang to say they had a cancellation and arrived to assess my drains. Both very personable & confirmed it was Yorkshire water responsibility to deal with it. They gave me great advice and who to call. They could have done the job and charged me but they did the right thing, very honest of them. Would highly recommend & have shared with friends. I only rang yesterday; they came today! 100% cheerful, efficient, quick and clean. Our yard land drain was completely full of silt/soil and we couldn't even get the cover off. They had the whole job sorted in 30 mins and took the rubbish away too. I cannot recommend them highly enough - super value for money. Thank you guys :) :)
