Callum did not just install a woodburner (Charnwood C4) but also transformed the entire room to accept the stove, detailing installing a surround, hearth, lintel and of course flue. The old gas stove was removed and professionally disconnected. Cannot recommend him enough.

Callum was professional from the very start, arriving as planned and offering very good advice based on his wide experience. We immediately trusted his explanations to the extent that we changed our minds on what we wanted to do at our cottage. We have used Callum Moor Stove installations to fit two log burners in two different houses. Both jobs were completed to the highest standards, and I have nothing but praise for the work. Callum is a very knowledgeable tradesman and has provided us with superb advice on both jobs. The first job was a tricky insert log burner which had to be fitted into a Victorian fireplace and surround. Callum retained all the important period details of the surroundings, and the insert looked like it had always belonged there. The second job was a modern house, which needed a dated gas fireplace removed and a modern log burner fitted. Callum came up with a number of manufacturers and helped us choose the best for our needs, saving us a significant amount by advising on size requirements. He also fitted a beautiful modern lintel, which he had oiled twice before fitting. I can’t rate Callum highly enough, he goes above and beyond, the quality of his work coupled with his attention to detail are remarkable; further to this, he is highly respectful of the homes he’s working in, leaving you assured of the care he has taken in his work.

Our installation included a solid fuel boiler with lined and insulated chimney, placed into an existing fireplace in an old house. Callum and his apprentice were delightful to have in our home, very skilled and careful both outside with the lining of the chimney and inside where they completely protected the floor surfaces. All our questions and concerns were answered and Callum gave us further advice on a different issue whilst he was with us. We really appreciated his care and attention. The installation was quoted for and although it was more than we expected, he was willing to give us a cost breakdown. The components used are of highest quality and made to order. The work was started and completed as indicated at the point of placing the order. Perhaps our only difficulty was communication as we found it a little difficult to get a response from Callum to confirm our project. We are very satisfied with the result and now have a warm room after 20 years of drafts with an open fire!

Callum gave us a quote for fitting a log burner. It took number of months as he is so busy but we didn't mind waiting as we know he does a great job. I couldn't believe how clean he was. Everything was taken away, the room was hoovered and the log burner is fantastic. Callum explained fully what he was going to be doing and we are really happy with the service both he and Ross provided. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Callum to anyone looking for a good quality log burner.

We had to have a new stove as our original one was condemned by our chimney sweep. After a few phone calls later spoke to Callum and arranged for him to give us a quote. Quote excepted, he and his work partner Grant turned up Monday morning and started removing old stove. After finding no lintel and a large amount of bricks not being held up by anything. Bricks taken out lintel put in bricked up hole and rendered up. Tuesday morning back plaster on wall flue liner put down chimney and insulated, stove put in job done. Fantastic job very professional and highly recommended. Great work done.

Callum came highly recommended and I can see why . He gave us lots of ideas of what stove /surround we might like, an efficient and accurate estimate, and had a very professional attitude to the job. Callum relined a chimney where the previous liner had been badly fitted by the original installer (not by Callum !). He kept us well informed as to when he would be at the house for the initial estimate, what was required, and when he would be able to do the work. He was prompt, did a good job, explained what was happening, and cleaned up everything before leaving. He ended up billing us for less than originally estimated as he didn't need all of the materials that he had expected to - most unexpected and very commendable!

The delivery and installation was to the date agreed and went without a hitch, with the work carried out to the highest standards, which included all the roof and tile work.
