Great Guy Great Work Reliable A pride in doing a great job from start to finish Campbell is our joiner and has been for a number of years and we have always found him to be fantastic looking for a joiner look no further we don’t.

We have had a new bannister installed and under stair storage cupboards. I initially sent Smith joinery pictures I found online similar to what we wanted. We had a face to face consultation and were given quotes with different options to choose from. Excellent communication and very professional throughout the whole process. The end result is amazing and shows off their excellent craftsmanship. Thank you.

Very disappointed, communication poor, attention to detail lacking and ultimately badly let down. We ordered materials, paid early invoices on the day they were issued (more fool me) and we were initially very patient, but we are entering the winter without the job completed after multiple failures and a breakdown in trust and confidence. I think Campbell would be fine if undertaking straightforward joinery work, but I would look elsewhere if you have a building project particularly if he is also subcontracting as absolutely no project management with regard to subcontractors and constantly having to chase for updates and no sense of urgency or responsibility for work being undertaken.

This is the third time using Smith joinery and I think that speaks volumes on how great Campbell and John are as tradesmen. Very prompt. Always friendly and as a few other reviews have said, the guys work brilliantly as a team. Quote was very reasonable. Campbell is incredibly tidy and leaves the environment as clean as he entered. Smith Joinery will always be my choice and recommendation for any joinery work needed.

I called Campbell as had previously had work done by him before and was more than happy with the results. I had a blocked sink and after a prompt reply he came and had a look and after half an hour I had a working sink again. No job too big or small and never leaves a mess behind. I would highly recommend him as he is always prompt, friendly and professional.

I've just had both my bathrooms redone and the result is excellent. Campbell and John are highly proficient at what they do. Their work is to the highest standard, they are punctual, entirely reliable and trustworthy. When they came across problems, which they did on several occasions because of poor workmanship from previous work done (not by them!) they just got on and found a solution, and when I was a bit vague about what I wanted something to look like they came up with really creative ideas. They are really friendly too, which makes a difference and great value for money. I've already recommended them to friends and would never to go to anyone else for any work in the future. If you are looking to get work done and not sure where to go, go to these guys, you will not regret it.

I contacted Campbell for a quote to replace my gutters and facias. The quote was the most competitive by far. The work was done to a very high standard, the site was left very clean and tidy at the end of each day and on completion. The guys on site were the friendliest tradespeople I've had at the house in a long time. I would definitely recommend them for any joinery work.

Excellent service in all aspects with the added bonus of being professional and personable. Great project management, work and finishing. The process from start to finish was as hassle free as possible, which was a relief after all the horror stories folk like to tell you. Campbell stays just 2 doors up and had checked the website for reviews. He came to the house measured and sent a written quote. Delays due to delivery measurements of wood we’re wrong. He came in person to update me. We were not in any rush kept informed fully and came and fitted wood first and just to wait on glass. That took couple of weeks max and a quick job to fit. As away he emailed me pics. Trusted clean and attention to detail. Filled any holes left in new plasterwork. Love it and very happy with the quality of the job.

Campbell was hired by my wife to create two built in bookcases with a hidden TV, a specialised built in desk and storage unit then lay laminate flooring throughout the room (8mx6m give or take). Campbell and John arrived together at 8:30am each day sharp for three days. Campbell estimated it would take 3-4 days and they finished prompt on the third day. Campbell walked my wife through her options and made recommendations based on her needs and budget. She chose MDF for the furniture because she wanted to paint them herself and they will be getting heavy use. I can't believe how well this build has gone. How smooth the process was. Campbell is really well prepared with a a gazebo he threw up in no time to ensure they had space to work outside when it rained. Nothing slowed Campbell or John down. The finished article is better than anything I'd have envisioned myself. There were a couple of things that annoyed me about the room caused by previous tradesmen who had installed the French doors - Campbell and John fixed them as par for the course when they were installing the laminate. The room is immaculate now. The bookcases look like they've always been there. Like they were part of the original vision for the house. We didn't design them. We gave Campbell the functional needs we had and made it work. This guy has artistic vision as well as being an exceptional joiner. Replaced skirting and window sills arrived on time to give me quote. Advised me on the window surrounds that would give me best finish. Date arranged and Campbell arrived on time job completed perfectly and no mess to clean up. Definitely would recommend.

Two x double doors to be fitted with flush bolts on each, 2 x sash locks incl handles. Complete replacement of framing on both and thresholds. Replacement of skirting throughout the hall stairs and two landings. Replacement stringers. What we actually got was above and beyond our expectations. I'm a perfectionist and Campbell blew my expectations well and truly out of the water. His work and detail is meticulous. He clearly cares about the importance of quality. Again, he surpasses himself. It wasn't a straight forward job, but seeing the end result has left me speechless. I joked with my hubby that the doors are a work of art... hence we keep looking at them. In all my years (and they are many) I have never once seen a trader leave it more clean and tidy than it was to begin with. Every single evening I didn't have to worry about things left on the floor that my dog could pick up. He is so very polite and respectful of ones property, a trait lacking in many traders today. I am someone who finds it difficult to have strangers in my home, and believe me when I say, i was able to take my dog down to the summerhouse with no qualms as to his trustworthiness. And felt absolutely okay with letting him get on with the work. We feel privileged to have met such a professional person, with a work ethic that the majority of traders can only hope to aspire to be. Campbell extended my bathroom and fitted a new bathroom suite. All work carried out to a very high standard. Requested to have all pipework rerouted under floor and also waste pipes rerouted out side. Both Campbell and John were courteous and friendly. Always tidied up after their hard work. I have booked Smith Joinery to do more work for me as they provide a great quality service.

I have used Campbell many times before and once again I am delighted with the professionalism and quality of his work. New garden fence and a cat flap fitted to a pvc door with the minimum of fuss and to an excellent standard.
