The main bungalow roof needed felting and re tilling as well as insulation. The replacement tiles were hard to source especially as it needed many more replacements eventually. They carefully replaced any slightly damaged tiles, took down the chimney and the huge Arial systems. They installed a large light pipe, a new vented ridge and fixed the runoff to a flat roofed utility room. We also had a new warm flat roof installed over our extension with the addition of a 2m x 1m flat skylight. When the old roof was stripped it exposed many failing old trusses. The work to fix the woodwork issues and support a 160kg skylight was really excellent. They just got on with the job despite the awful weather and overcame many difficulties and surprises. They worked extremely hard and very professionally. They retained there sense of humour and were super nice the deal with. Amazingly they also carefully cleaned up afterwards. We absolutely recommend Cando roofing. We are completely pleased with their work.

Diagnosed the problem and provided a detailed explanation and quotation (not the case with two other contractors we contacted) Work completed quickly and tidily on the agreed dates. Scaffolding erected just before and removed soon afterwards (separate contractor). Good communications throughout. Colin at CanDo Roofing was recommended to me by Permaroof. I had been left with a leaking EPDM garage roof and a fake Permaroof guarantee by my previous builder. I asked Permaroof for a recommendation to someone they would trust (and I could trust) to put things right, and they gave me Colin's name. There is a very small gap between my garage and my neighbour's, so the work involved protecting against rainwater becoming trapped between our two garages. The team arrived on time to carry out the work, clearly took the time to do it really carefully, left everything very clean and tidy, and have done a beautiful job. My neighbour and I are both very happy with it, and my garage is finally dry.

Colin and his team made an excellent job of replacing our old flat roof with new boards and rubber roofing. It was a small area but difficult work requiring a skilled approach as the building is old and uneven and 3 of the edges had to be sealed to an upright. Colin provided helpful advice on the work required in advance. He and his workers were friendly and polite. The job was completed efficiently on the day we had booked and the site was left clean and tidy afterward. We initially asked another contractor to repair a leak but after removing a section of roof it became apparent a new roof was needed. At this point we contacted Colin who was very professional and came to assess the work and provided an estimate, even though we are in Surrey which is outside his usual geographic area. Due to Covid new roof tiles had a 3 month lead time but Colin helpfully send his team to secure the roof whilst we waited. They then duly started work as promised. Covid complicated this as the team couldn't stay locally due to lockdown and commuted around the M25 several hours each way. The team were always polite, hard working and we appreciate they literally went the extra mile(s). The scaffolders were also very efficient and polite. We felt confident of a professional job and are pleased how the roof looks and to be secure and dry.

Our old shed/outbuilding with a leaking pantiled roof was in need of renovation. Colin’s team removed the tiles and old battens. They replaced the tiles (newly cleaned), including replacements for the broken ones, having fitted a breather membrane, new battens and underlay support trays, then and finished by cementing the ridge tiles and gable ends to complete the weatherproofing. Last year I had the misfortune of having a water leak in my extension roof, and had to act quickly to avoid furniture etc from being damaged. I contacted four companies to get a quote, and to my amazement and annoyance, CanDo were the only company to come back to me. Great job .Needed to get job waterproofed rapidly and Colin sent out Keanu on a Saturday and he completed it on the Sunday morning. Colin was recommended to me in September 2018 and we agreed a quote for the roof on a new build house. Due to outside factors the roof wasn't done until January 2019 but the quote was honoured. Colin and his team re-roofed our cottage. In doing so they also brought up the insulation to meet current building standards. There was no access up into the roof void apart from removing the tiles. Colin and his team carried out some work on our roof because we had a leak coming in where the flash leading on the extension met the side of the house. We had at least 5 companies out before Colin and I have to say that Colin was fantastic from the start. Colin carried out two jobs for me. First was a repair to stop a leaking gully. Difficult to diagnose where water getting in. Colin tried to keep the costs down with a smaller repair, but when that did not work he replaced the whole gully reasonably. Second job was a rubber membrane flat roof replacement. Excellent job, looks so much better than felt.

Colin and his team did 3 small jobs for me: repairing/replacing 2 lead flashings and replacing some ridge tiles. They cured the leaks under the flashings but just as importantly they came and quoted when they said they would and did the jobs pretty quickly after quoting. In an industry with its share of cowboys it's nice to be able to recommend someone for good work and service.

The job required a complete renewal of the roofing underfelt that had deteriorated over the years and allowed leakage into the loft space and rooms below. All the roofing tiles had to be removed and replaced either with the originals or new tiles where appropriate. Scaffolding was required both in my property and that of my neighbour's. All the work, including gutter removal and replacement where necessary, was completed quickly, cleanly and considerately. Where some additional work was necessary as a result of rotting and water damage, we were fully consulted and the additional cost was minimal. I was very impressed and would firmly recommend this company.

A thoroughly professional and personal service in a busy and congested space had a new, traditional slate roof with modern breathable felt and venting fitted as requested, safely and before winter set in. The roof looks the same and as good as it would have in 1850 and should last as long the original. I am very pleased with the work, the service and the resulting sound, weatherproof structure as well as the very reasonable final bill for a job of this size. We had all our guttering redone. Colin came over to give us a quote. We had received 2 quotes from other companies but neither impressed me. I recommend CanDo Roofing for outstanding quality and reliability. They aren’t the cheapest, but they are the least costly. Colin and his team followed the wake of destruction of another roofer who created a catastrophic leak destroying freshly painted ceiling and plaster work, creating extensive damage, distress and inconvenience. Colin and his team are attentive, courteous, tidy and quietly go about their work like the competent tradesmen they are. Although clearly very busy, Colin spent much time trying to help resolve the issue before I had made any commitment to him. The roof was small but complex and the finished job is precise and elegant, showing the attention to detail that makes the difference (e.g. coating the lead with a patina preservative). CanDo roofing completed the work over two months ago. I have the confidence that Colin’s work is backed by a long guarantee and his determination to do a great job. Moreover, in the unlikely event there any problems “Which" will help. Had I engaged CanDo roofing in the first place I would have avoided months of distress, dripping plaster work and the Small Claims Court.
