Since 2003, Carrington’s Tree Surgery Ltd have successfully undertaken all aspects of tree surgery operations for both the homeowner & for commercial clients throughout Essex.
Carrington's ensure working standards adhere to BS3998:2010 Recommendations for Tree Work. Safety is of paramount importance with the correct PPE/PPC always used & ensuring best practice is carried out at all times. Risk assessments are carried out at the initial meeting & repeated on the day the work is undertaken.
Carringtons are proud to be recommended by the local council to undertake tree works for residents and businesses.

Nigel gave a very fair quote for our overgrown sycamore tree, giving valuable advice on approach to make sure we were going to be happy with the outcome. Work was completed on time as promised and all wood cleared and taken away. Very efficient and professional service. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were immediately impressed by Nigel's professionalism and friendliness - he was quick in answering our request for a quote and punctual on his visit. We were advised of the best timing for tree lopping etc and given a very fair quotation. We didn't have to chase for a date for work to commence as Nigel contacted us on schedule. The work was done to an extremely high standard and the site left cleaner and tidier than it was previously. We were delighted with the way this project was handled.

I initially contacted Nigel for a quote for my rather tall trees that had got out of hand, due to the weather recently, they had a growth spurt. He arrived this morning with his colleague promptly at the time he said. I found them to be courteous efficient and the work that was done, was to a very high standard. You would have never known that anyone had been pruning and shaping my trees, the garden was left spotless. I would highly recommend Carringtons.

Nigel and team tackled a very large pine tree which had spread into two neighbouring gardens at the side and back. They reduced the height and shaped the tree beautifully. Delighted with the job. I was recommended to Nigel by a friend after a disappointing experience with another company. I noticed the difference from Nigel’s initial visit to quote. He was knowledgeable and offered advice. I have now used Carringtons a few times and been very satisfied with the work carried out and always left the garden completely tidy. Nigel appears to be a very honest person as the recent job actually cost less than quoted. I think this is very rare in today’s business world. This was the first time we’ve used Carringtons, and they were selected based upon feedback received from others… We were not disappointed.. the team are really knowledgeable on the subject and advised to leave our Magnolia tree until the frost season had ended. Nigel put us in the diary and called to arrange the date as promised, once the frosts had gone. The team arrived on time and quickly got to work. Watching them operate you can see the attention to detail that went into not only thinning the tree out, but in ensuring it still had a really good visual impact when looked at. They tidied everything away.. the chipper looks so much fun.. and swept the driveway clean of wayward branches, leaves etc. Cannot recommend Carringtons high enough.. Will definitely be calling them back again in the future.

This was the third occasion on which we have used Nigel's services for tree pruning and clearance. Each time, we found him knowledgeable and professional. He listened to our requests, suggested the best way to trim back two trees (and a wildly overgrown hedge), then carried out our instructions at the time and cost we had previously agreed. Always worth having a qualified tree surgeon instead of a 'cowboy'. Advice given and all my requests carried out fully. Communication, time keeping, price all were superb. The agreed work was discussed before starting, checking the 'brief' given when quoting for the job. I was asked many times during the morning if I was satisfied and they were cheerfully obliging until I was. A couple of small extras also thrown in for good measure. Wonderfully friendly and courteous. Tidy workers. Five stars all round.

We used Nigel to fell a troublesome conifer and cut back and trim multiple other conifers, large shrubs and smaller trees, as well as cutting and killing a large ivy growth. He quote was very good value and despite being very booked up he was able to do the job quite promptly and the quality and professionalism of the job was excellent. With his two colleagues he arrived exactly on time and went through the job before he started and then carried it out with great efficiency, tidied our garden immaculately and went through it when he'd finished to ensure we were happy. He even spoke with our neighbours before chipping the mountain of branches and foliage. Thoroughly recommended, everything you would want in a good trusted local company.

Nigel Carrington was highly recommended to us, by a neighbour. On making contact and describing the work we wanted done, an appointment was duly arranged - which was kept - on time - and work required, discussed and quoted for, accordingly, plus a date for the work, booked. On the day, Nigel and his team arrived exactly at the agreed time and promptly proceeded with the work, as discussed. Nigel and his colleagues were all very amicable, approachable and worked very well together. After completing the work - which was excellent - all branches and debris were cleared away - with absolutely no trace they had ever been on site. The work was invoiced as quoted. Can only highly recommend this company - if you require any aspect of tree work done - and very pleased our neighbour introduced us.

Excellent service. Extremely knowledgeable. Nigel and Brad arrived on time, explained and advised about the work to be carried out and throughout the process. They did a fabulous job in reducing the height of several conifers, removed a dead Conifer and reshaped a Red Robin & Bay tree. All work was carried safely and they left the garden completely tidy. Nigel and his colleagues agreed to reshape the tree in our front garden and carry out "major surgery" to the large hedge. The tree was reduced by circa 30% and looks much more tidy and is probably healthier. The hedge was reduced in height and about 50% of its depth. I now have an extra metre of garden! All work was carried out professionally and safely. Very pleasant team to have on site and once complete all traces of debris removed. More than happy to recommend Nigel and his colleagues.

Nigel and his team pruned a large multi-stemmed silver birch and reduced the height and width of a long hedge at the side of the property. Really professional, polite and courteous, and did a great job on the tree and hedge. Arrived on time, did a thorough job, and cleared up properly afterwards. I have been using Nigel for several years to Prune a large Laurel hedge at the bottom of my garden, he is always reliable and arrives promptly on the day. He has to work in my garden and also in my neighbors at the rear, he and his team work quickly and safely and always leave the two gardens tidy. In the past he has also renewed a 6ft Panel and Concrete post fence which is still as straight and true as the day it was done. I contacted Nigel because I needed an old multi trunked tree taken down. Also I have 2 conifer hedges that had been neglected for 2 years. Nigel arrived promptly on the agreed day and carried out the required work. A lad was helping to clear the debris with quite a walk from front to back of the property.
