Checkers of Churchtown

Bespoke fitted sliding door wardrobes in two bedrooms. From initial shop visit, then home measure, to wardrobes completed on schedule, we could not fault the team at Checkers. Delivery was smooth and efficient and the work was carried out to an exceptional high standard by their fitter (D) and his side kick (I) who were passionate about their work. Prompt, hardworking, friendly and an asset to the Company we would not hesitate to recommend. We cannot comment on recall experience, plainly and simply because we have no complaints, however we are certain should the need arise after sales service would no doubt be excellent due to the way the team is organised and focussed. Thank you for making our home into our forever home, we are very grateful.

The kitchen was chosen and fitted within a couple of months, with great workmanship and quality. Can't recommend them too highly. I also contacted them last week regarding some perspex and was given great advice by a lovely lady. The price was great compared to online retailers and it was delivered immediately. Local businesses need our custom and as they are also cheaper then why not.

I am delighted with my new kitchen created by Checkers. A very professional process from start to finish

The kitchen was installed to schedule but despite being a job sheet specified item there was no provision for a plasterer to make good extensive installation damage to walls, at both high and low (work surface) levels. I only found this out when the fitter said he was finished and requested payment. When I told him I was completely taken by surprise and that the kitchen wasn't even watertight and with extensive plasterwork damage he said all he could do was recommend a decorator he knew. I complained to Checkers and was told they hadn't charged for a plasterer and I should follow up on the fitters' recommendation. I did this but couldn't get a date before Christmas. I took photographs to record the state in which the brand new kitchen was installed and forwarded them to Checkers. At no point did Checkers manage or assess the installation work and I was compromised by having paid the fitter when he requested it. I managed to get emergency plaster work done by a contractor I sourced myself, before Christmas, but this was only to get the kitchen watertight and safe around electric fittings. Having used Which recommendations to good effect over our 40 years of membership this trader has left us unhappy with the whole experience. As a totally separate issue, the new Pergo floor had to be taken up because the new kitchen had been plumbed in around a leaking stopcock but Checkers again told me this was not their problem and I should claim on my house insurance.

Checkers have made a wonderful job of our kitchen. The fitters Aron and Josh did a fantastic job, two very polite and conscientious workers. Nothing was too much trouble for them... they did an excellent job. The electricians Ryan and Jo were also excellent workers and Mike Law their boss also popped in to fit the lights. Everything was done to a really high standard and I have nothing but praise for Checkers and their brilliant workers. Thank you... I love my new kitchen.

The actual work by the joiner was brilliant to be fair but when we had a problem the woman on the phone was an absolute shambles. She was horrible to my self and my partner and needs to learn how to talk to people with respect, never mind customer service. It's a shame because myself and my partner will be doing a lot of work to our home, and we will never be using Checkers of Churchtown again! Horrendous

Had our Kitchen fitted this week by checkers of churchtown, I'm delighted with r new kitchen,they are reliable , very well priced, the kitchen fitter Aaron was truly professional and done an amazing job, can't wait to show it off, iv already recommended checkers today to a family friend and will be recommending them to others , a very satisfied customer 5 stars for checkers if churchtown !!

We’ve just had two bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. Couldn’t fault the two guys and they left everywhere spotless at the end of the day. Five star We also had a new bathroom fitted at the same time. Excellent plumber and very neat. Very good would recommend to others.

Had a new kitchen fitted back in August. From planning, fitting & completion nothing was too much trouble. All the tradesmen were very professional, courteous completing each task to a high standard,then clearing up at the end of each day. Won’t hesitate to recommend Checkers of Churchtown to everyone. Hope to use again in future.
