So the reminder came through to submit the twelfth quarterly reading and horror of horrors blank screen and a fault light on the Inverter. Don’t panic the email response said - call Mike. Which I did and he calmly talked me though the checks and readouts, just tripped the RCB fuse switch, reset it and everything came back to life. Mike was very calm and professional. Another reason to use this great business.

I was recommended Chelsfield Solar by a work colleague, I also got a couple of other quotes in for the work. I opted for Chelsfield Solar one because of the recommendation, two they were very competitive and three because Natalie in the office who I spoke to several times with questions and queries was able to answer all of them and put me at ease with her outstanding knowledge in this field. The whole process was flawless the 5 guys who turned up on the day to do the install were also very tidy, efficient and quick. I had 10 x 3.25Kw panels put in with the hot water i-boost system plus anti-bird nesting put up, they started at 8 am and were finished by 2 pm. Extra Note: I was not going to have the anti-birdnesting which was £289 but thought better of it as the cost of having it put up at a later date would prove very expensive due to scaffolding being needed again. Also now saving on heating my water tank with the i-boost and not using gas. Looking to buy an electric car or battery system in next couple of years to harvest excess electric as I am getting about 5p a Kw when selling during the day but pay 16p at night when I want it back. After our solar inverter suffered from a lightning strike Chelsfield Solar quickly diagnosed the issue, sourced a replacement, and fitted it within a week. The work done was quick and efficient, and the guys took great care in our home. Happy to recommend them.

Although we did experience a few supply chain related issues (over which Chelsfield Solar had no control), we are very happy with service and installation we have received. Pre-sales was great, with all the options well explained and regular updates regarding delays to the panels and battery. Sites site visits were punctual and informative, and the scaffolding was put up and dismantled on the days agreed without any fuss. Finally the installation team did a great job even when presented with a few left-field challenges in the form of a brand new version of the inverter! Investing in solar is a complex process, but I am confident that thanks to Chelsfield Solar we have the right system for our needs and any issues will be dealt with effectively in the future. Chelsfield were on my short list of potential installers. By chance they were carrying out an installation nearby so I was able to carry out due diligence on both the scaffolders and the installation team. All very positive so I asked for the survey which was also excellent with practical sound advice on the positioning of the panels. As anticipated everything proceeded smoothly and efficiently with great level of communication with everyone in the team So highly recommended.

I contacted six companies for quotes before picking Chelsfield. I choose them as they were the only company to offer a no obligation site visit to discuss the quote and they are Which approved. Mike came to our house and inspected our roof, explained the install process and advised us on the best position for the battery. He also talked to us about the bird nest protection which stopped birds and rodents getting under the panels and possible causing damage. No other company mentioned this. The install was booked and the scaffolding company they used were excellent turning up on time and doing a professional job. The install of the solar system was then completed again very efficiently and all the cables were run through the internal walls. The whole process was done professionally and once finished you would never had known they were here. I cannot recommend this company more highly from the installers to Natalie and Dorothy in the office they could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable.

From our initial enquiry all the way through to having an operational PV system installed the whole team have been a pleasure to work with. The office team are very responsive and knowledgeable and the on-site team were punctual, tidy and also very knowledgeable. The we had a nine panel PV system with a battery storage unit and the install was completed within one day. I would highly recommend Chelsfield to anyone considering solar energy.

The team at Chelsfield (particularly Natalie) have always been helpful and responsive with every query, from my initial solar installation, over 12 years ago, to my battery instalation, a year ago, and more recently to help me with schematic's and switching FIT from on provider to another. Use Chelsfield Solar for your UV panels and you won't be disappointed. I would just like to say that the service that Chelsfield Solar provide is second to none. The failure of our solar panel was dealt with real professionalism. The Staff in the office and engineers go above and beyond what is expected. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chelsfield Solar to anyone who will listen. Chelsfield Solar have also just fitted my EV charger. It was a no brainer to go back to these guys for another professional installation.

Chelsfield were recommend by a friend. Their quote was not the cheapest ( mid range) but they were the only company to visit to check on viability of installation. They speedily responded to my requests for different options to consider and my requests for specific cable routing and the siting of the inverter in my garage. I always worry about deposits and completion but didn't need to be. The installation was very efficiently carried out by the family+ team. They were clearly experienced and more than able to deal with the electrical work involved. All very pleasant to host for the day. A minor glitch with the inverter was resolved quickly with a return to my property the next day. My only (minor) suggestion for improvement would be a clearer indication of the steps along the way; what will happen when. I have no reservations in recommending Chelsfield.

Chelsfield Solar have previously installed our solar panels and EV charger both of which we were very pleased with. I had several other quotes for the battery installation but Chelsfield were the cheapest; one company's quote was nearly double! The whole process of sizing, quoting, surveying (siting the battery and choosing a cable route) and installation went very smoothly and to schedule. Vivek (the technical guy back in the office) was very helpful before and after the installation; in particular in tweaking the settings in the app to get the most out of the battery. So our third project with Chelsfield definitely lived up to our expections.

After being taken for a ride by many other companies. It was amazing to find a professional company that saw my problem as a problem and not a way to get loads of money! Ben Jonathan and Lorna all went out their way to advise me on the best way to deal with a leak that had developed. They were patient and professional. I would recommend them to everyone and anyone!

A different way to sell their products, but better than sending a rep round who is primarily interested in making a sale. Instead Chelsfield staff worked with me in a friendly constructive manner to establish what was the best solution for my location. Their installers turned up yesterday at the appointed time even though they had an hour’s drive to my home. They worked hard in a very friendly but focused manner. The installation of twelve panels was completed without fuss or bother and nothing seemed too much trouble. An example that the building industry would do well to follow. So far I am very happy with the results, including their monitoring facility which is definitely worth purchasing. I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Chelsfield.

I needed an electrical safety check done on the house I am in the process of buying and Mike was able to to fit me in at quite short notice, which I appreciated as I was due to exchange the following week! His price was very competitive and he was very friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. He arrived on time and was very friendly. I wasn't at the property so he called me afterwards to report the outcome and also sent the report shortly afterwards. All in all I am very pleased with this company and will certainly be using them again!

I highly recommend Chelsfield Solar. They came to my rescue after I had been misled and defrauded by two previous solar companies. ( I have had a system in place for four years and it has never worked properly despite more than 9 site visits and over £6,000.00 in additional costs ) . In my first phone call to Chelsfield they provided expert advice and helped me to understand exactly what the problem was likely to be with my system. They arranged a site visit and diligently identified all of the problems with the installation and supposed remedial work of the previous companies. They then provided a report for the insurers and explained to me in a jargon free way what the problems were. They reconfigured and repaired the system, (at a cost of almost half what the previous cowboys had charged who did not even fix it ). A very professional and customer focused small business, I have no hesitation in recommending them to you . Tim

For the last 10 years my domestic PV system (3.96 kw peak) has worked continuously, but several days ago it suddenly stopped generating for no apparent reason, and the (Solaredge) inverter's LCD screen indicated the code for 'internal software error'. I rang Solaredge and one of their staff tried to re-set the inverter remotely, but couldn't do so and said I would need contact a relevant company to request a visit by their staff. Having rung Chelsfield Solar of Hertford (their website contained much useful and well ordered material) I spoke to Natalie who certainly seemed more knowledgeable than Solaredge's own staff. The latter had been very helpful and sympathetic but didn't suggest what she suggested -- namely that I initially just try re-booting the system by turning off (and back on) both the inverter output and my modem/router (in the manner she stipulated). After some minutes the application of her advice had totally resolved the problem, free of any charge to me for her time (per her company's policy re. assistance given over the 'phone). She also supplied very useful information about various aspects of Solaredge inverters etc., and I would wholeheartedly recommend her company as a first port of call for anyone with a PV system malfunction.

I first contacted this company in early January this year to request a quote for installation of solar panels. I had done the research, read really positive reviews on this company, so they were first on my list of contacts. The contact I spoke to first was Dorothy, who I believe deals with customer queries, and she seemed fairly pleasant. She asked me for my annual estimated electricity usage, which I provided in my email of 29.1.22. A Mr. Joe Burge then came round to conduct a survey on Friday, 25th March when my husband spoke to him and his colleague and Mr. Burge took the relevant measurements. They informed him they would let us have a finalised quote following the survey in a week's time. I chased the company after a week as I hadn't heard from them, and Dorothy then sent me an email stating, and I quote, " At the survey, the surveyor took a measurement of your tiles (the edge to edge, ‘tab’ length), which I think is wrong. If possible and if it is safe for you to do so, would you be able to reach the bottom row and measure the tile please:" I phoned Dorothy about this and expressed my unhappiness at being asked to do this, firstly, because we ourselves could make a mistake as Mr. Burge did and he's presumably trained - and we are not! Secondly, my husband and I are in our sixties and concerned about safety issues. To my shock, Dorothy was extremely rude and sarcastic, reluctant to have the survey re-done. Absolutely appalling, unprofessional behaviour. Don't use!
