Chris kindly quoted me for full decoration of both bedrooms in my flat. He gave a clear outline of what work might be needed given the current condition, what his quote included and a timescale. He was also able to connect me with a local joiner to create wardrobe doors that would be ready for his agreed start date. The work was completed within the expected timeframe and budget, and the finish is beautiful. I appreciated his guidance on how to tackle problems with the walls, which he worked very hard to resolve. Throughout the two weeks I was very happy to leave him to it but we also had a great rapport. He was very respectful of my home and always left his equipment neat and tidy. We've discussed future works - I would choose Chris to return due to the ease of the experience of working with him and theexcellent quality of his work. Thanks, Chris!

We have used Chris a number of times now having seen the many positive reviews on this website and have never been disappointed. Chris is very reliable, trustworthy (he decorated several rooms while we went away on holiday), very clean, tidy and is an excellent decorator. He takes a lot of pride and trouble over his work which results in a high quality finish. As an example of his attention to detail we had our staircase refurbished in oak but couldn’t find prefinished internal doors that we liked and that matched the staircase finish. Chris took away a sample of the oak veneer and was able to find a varnish that produced a very good match. We then purchased unfinished doors which Chris decorated. We were delighted with the result. If you are looking for a decorator you should definitely consider Chris Roach.

Chris arranged the redecoration of our downstairs and upstairs hallway and stairwell (preparing walls and woodwork, lining paper, painting). Both he and Sorin, who carried out the work, were a pleasure to deal with, great communication throughout the process, lots of good suggestions to improve the finish and very reliable. Everything was completed on time and on budget. They were punctual, tidy, unobtrusive and respectful. The quality of the work definitely exceeded my expectations and I would be very confident to recommend them.

I called Chris, my trusty decorator, to rectify water damage in my hallway. This involved cutting back part of a lath and plaster ceiling and replacing it with plasterboard and plastering over to make the joins seamless. Additionally part of a plasterboard wall, coving and a few drops of water damaged wallpaper needed replacing. All this repair work has been done perfectly and totally seamlessly and no one would know there had ever been any damage. Before work started Chris protected the existing non damaged wallpaper with wall protector attached to coving and the carpet with dust sheets and a carpet protector. Chris is so careful and pays attention to detail you can relax knowing nothing else will be damaged or marked in the process. He is very organised and exceptionally clean and tidy. He is a thoroughly nice guy and an amazing decorator - the best. I really cannot recommend him highly enough. Sue Moody Pinner

I found Chris Roach after reading the very favourable recommendations left on this website and having benefited hugely from those reviews, am now only too pleased to leave my own review following excellent service received. I contacted Chris after another tradesman had let us down; in essence, Chris had to salvage a bit of a mess for us and to short order. Chris’ communications were excellent, he turned up on time and when he said he would, proved himself to be an outstanding decorator, hard-working, conscientious and, above all, his services were to the highest order. We are delighted to have found such an excellent tradesman, top class.

Chris dealt with one wall of my house that had suffered from penetrating damp when rain leaked through window frames where the seal had broken. He replastered and painted the interior of the wall, and then fixed the cracks and repainted the exterior of the wall, ensuring that the window frames were weatherproof. I am so pleased with the result. Everything was done to a very high standard, and the disruption was minimal. Chris and his workers left everything clean and tidy. Without exception they were all so pleasant and I really recommend this company.

Chris did a delicate job on repairing and repainting our ceiling. Chris was very diligent in his preparation and work. One wall in my living room needed replastering after penetrating damp from a broken window frame. Chris gave me good advice and a sensible quote, and that, combined with reviews, helped me make my decision. I am very glad. The plastering was done quickly, to a very high standard, and without any mess. Then the wall was repainted, again without unnecessary disturbance and the room was left tidy afterwards. I am very happy with the result and I am going to ask Chris to repaint the external wall for added peace of mind. I am confident he will do a good job. He is very helpful and pleasant to deal with, and I recommend him.
