Christian completely refurbished two bathrooms to a very high standard. One required significant problem solving on his part but he accomplished the work by drawing upon his many years of experience and by utilising a meticulous eye for detail. He guided us through the refurbs whilst keeping us informed at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

We wanted the bathroom, (WC, Bath, Sink, Double Shower), removed, the tiled walls stripped back to bare stud walls and the tiled floor stripped out. Being replaced with suitable wall boarding, bathroom wall panels and the floor raised by a few millimetres with a latex float. All went to plan and cost. Christian's tidiness, especially at the end of each day, was first class. His attention to detail and willingness to discuss improvements and options, with an open mind to changes, was refreshing. We are extremely satisfied with the the finished work and the bathroom. We're glad we chose Christian, a true professional. Highly recommended.

We had the kitchen, bathroom, en-suite shower room and cloakroom all removed and completely replaced. This included: Ripping out all the old fixtures and fittings Replastering walls and ceilings New lighting Fitting new bathroom suite, including all plumbing and tiling Fitting new kitchen including all plumbing, tiling and electrical work Fitting new en-suite shower, toiled and washbasin including all plumbing and tiling Fitting new toilet and wash basin in cloakroom. All this work was carried out to a high standard, and Christian is one of the tidiest tradesman I’ve ever met! He always left everything as clean and tidy as possible at the end of the day and went out of his way to make life for us as easy as possible while all the work was going on. He made some good suggestions about some changes to our initial plans and also was very understanding about any changes we suggested. The work was carried out on schedule and on budget. We are really pleased with the finished work and can’t recommend Christian highly enough - no wonder he’s so busy.

Christian has recently transformed the ‘half-finished’ kitchen that we inherited when we purchased our house in November 2022. Not only did he fit units in our large, empty utility room beautifully, add units to the existing ones in the kitchen and make useful suggestions, but he also removed laminate flooring in both areas and laid ceramic tiles expertly throughout. He has an attention to detail that is impressive; a large island, integrated appliances & free-standing ones were moved and then put back in place so that no corners were cut. We cannot praise his work highly enough. He is also utterly reliable, turns up on time, according to what has been agreed and cleans up afterwards. We are absolutely delighted with his work and recommend him unreservedly.

Work requested. Remove Shower enclosure, replace shower tray and replace screens. I arranged all the above via email as I was concerned about a crack in the old tray and wanted a replacement asap. Christian always replied the same day and provided a thoroughly explained work schedule and quote. Recommended a decent shower tray to avoid the rubbish one installed 2 years ago. (should have gone to which trusted traders then) Christian's quote reflected what I had specified. Other quotes went above and beyond what I wanted, and reflected that in the price. Arrived on the date and time agreed. Clean, tidy and thorough in his work. Honest final invoice. Adjusted downward from original quote. No negatives at all.

Christian James has completely refurbished and reconfigured our very old bathroom and has done the most stunning job for us. Christian is such a lovely person. He is extremely hard working and is absolutely meticulous about his work - really pays attention to detail. He is always on time, a very clean and tidy worker and totally trustworthy. In addition to fitting a gorgeous new, state of the art shower, toilet, hand basin, and a new radiator for us, Christian also did a beautiful job of tiling the walls, laying a new laminate floor, moving pipe work and fitting new lighting for us. He also proved his expert carpentry skills by building us a bespoke cupboard to hide our boiler and provide storage space for towels etc. Christian was always extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him. If any unforeseen problems arose, he just dealt with it in a calm and professional manner. Christian has done work for me several times over the past few years. He has fitted a utility room for me, repaired kitchen cupboards, refitted a shower and replaced bathroom tiles. Most recently he refitted some water damaged cupboards in my kitchen, he was incredibly helpful in suggesting what replacement bits of the cupboards I did and didn't need, which saved me quite a bit of money. He also repaired some broken tiles in my shower room and fitted a new shower basket. His work has always been of an excellent standard, completed on schedule and on budget.

He is just as willing to come for a dripping tap as to fit a whole bathroom, and he charges very reasonable rates for his time. Christian had done a wonderful job on my downstairs cloakroom earlier this year so when I wanted to refurbish my main bathroom he was an obvious choice to approach. Christian is efficient and immensely considerate; he took great care of every aspect of the bathroom refurbishment and, more generally, of all the areas of my home he had to access to get the work done. In the course of the work Christian ensured there was communication at each step and made suggestions as to some elements I hadn't considered before; the job was completed on time and on budget. Building work inside the home is always disruptive but Christian ensured the job was undertaken in a way as near to stress-free as it could possibly have been. The finished bathroom is excellent both functionally and in appearance.

At last we've found a good plumber. Christian was helpful in assessing what we needed and made sure we were happy with the cubicle we chose. His work was first class and fast. He was obliging and when we needed to stop the work for health reasons he was happy to wait until we were able to go forward. As well as plumbing skills he is capable of working with wood - he did a little carpentry for us as part of the finishing for the shower. Christian actually answers phone calls and emails - not something that tradesmen in our experience usually do. We would be happy to employ him again for any work required in the bathroom or kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill. His rates are very reasonable.

Christian is the consummate professional. He fitted a new kitchen for my mother, a widow in her eighties, and not only did he do a great job (as I know from previous work he's done for me), but my mother fully trusted Christian and often left him working by himself in her property. Christian also advised my mother on the finishing touches e.g. tile types/ colour etc which was very helpful.

Christian James took out my old kitchen, and installed a new one. My space is very small, Christian managed to get everything needed installed perfectly, making the kitchen easy for me to work in. His advice on lighting, flooring and other needs was just as needed for the area. Christian always left the area clean and tidy, was very careful with everything he handled . Christian renovated our downstairs cloakroom - replacing the WC, radiator, washbasin and tiling (floor and wall). He also replaced the kitchen work tops including new sink and tap and gas hob. Christian did a great job replacing the pump for my electric shower - which had been tiled and grouted under the bath, with absolutely no damage. Amazing! He was extremely easy to do business with, advised what parts id need in advance via exchange of a couple of pictures and it was all done within a couple of weeks and 45mins on the day.
