Met Paul as part of my 3rd quote for my aging 20-year-old boiler.Was impressed by his honesty in that he was reluctant to change a functional boiler. Nearly a year later I had to call him again to change my boiler as it was occasionally making a noise. This was inspected at the appointed time and a quote was obtained for a replacement boiler and 2 radiators. The boiler was replaced on the agreed date and a radiator changed very efficiently within 10 hours including removal of the overflow tanks in the loft etc as this new one is a Combi boiler. All old stuff was taken away and the cupboard area was left clean post-work. He explained the basic operational, buttons etc to me, without rushing me. Paul returned a week after the installation to check that it was perfectly functional and that I was happy with the new installation. I was very satisfied with his honesty, correct advice, the installation itself and the aftercare he has shown during the whole process. I am perfectly happy to recommend him very highly for boiler/ radiator work and for knowledgeable and honest advice too.

I needed my old boiler replaced as it had stopped working and parts were no longer available. I had got 3 quotes for the work and choose City and Shire heating because the price was very good. As I had no heating or hot water Paul was able to do the job later on that week. He came at exactly the time he said. He covered my carpet before starting and worked straight through until just after 3pm when he had finished and old boiler taken away. Paul then explained how my boiler worked and left me with all the paperwork. I was very impressed with how smoothly the work had gone and how professional Paul was. I would recommend Paul to my friends.

I was getting some decorating done in the hall/ stair/ landing and lounge which included skimming the walls and ceilings with new plaster. City and Shire ( Paul ) removed and replaced the radiators at the appropriate times. Perfect. The house gas boiler had seen too many years of service, so a replacement was included in Paul's scope of work. Executed with no NO fuss. Pipe work changes are a "work of art"! Complete professional service. All works done to schedule and budget. No matters left outstanding. A great engineer and service.

Having received 3 quotes for our replacement boiler we decided to go with City & Shire Heating based on the level of detail and confidence Paul provided with regards to boiler type/spec. We have underfloor heating downstairs and traditional radiator heating upstairs so not a straightforward installation. Several dates for installation were offered. Paul arrived on time and installed the new boiler without any fuss. He also replaced a pump for our underfloor heating system. Everything works perfectly. Paul also responded quickly to any questions we had pre/post-installation.

My old gas boiler was past its best so I asked paul to quote me for a new one He came round and advised me on how he would do the work. He promptly gave me the quote and I was very happy to except. He gave me a date for it to be installed and it was done in a day. Paul did an excellent service and am glad to recommend him.

Heating pump packed in and did some research on options. After 30 yrs the boiler needed replacement IMO. Looked up Trusted Trader and got City and Shire Heating, Paul answered short chat and arranged for a visit next day. Arrived on time and he spent around 50 minutes looking around discussing options and needs. Quote came next day as promised, clear itemised and captured everything. We had a need to get it installed soonest (November brrr!) , he found and confirmed a 2 day slot 3 weeks out. Price was in budget, work all done on time and very professionally by Paul and his squad. We went for a Combi and got an extra radiator, cleaned flushed and old stuff removed. Very pleased Mr and Mrs.

Paul has serviced my boiler for serval year and has always been excellent. None of the thermostats on my old radiators worked properly. He came round very promptly, gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. We arranged a time for him to do the work and he did a superb job, rising to every challenge the job threw at him! So good to have a reliable, highly able heating engineer, and a really personable young man too!

The whole process has been great. From the quote to installation, Paul has been in contact throughout. Paul & his colleague arrived on time and managed to get a large scope of work (conventional boiler to combi boiler) done in the one day. His communication throughout was first class. He gave me a walk through of the new Hive controls as well. We’re delighted with the boiler and radiator and would highly recommend using City & Shire Heating Specialists to any family & friends.
