Continental Fireplaces Limited

After years of improving the insulation of the house, we were finding our existing 12kW log burner overpowering to say the least. Plus ever since it was fitted we had been putting up with smoke spillage whenever the door was opened and so we visited the Continental Fires showroom to see if they could suggest a better option for us. They arranged for Jeremy to call around and he recommended fitting a Woodwarm Fireview Eco (5kW) together with a completely new flue. Two weeks later Jonathon and Matt arrived to fit the fire. Once they got the register plate out, and we could see the old flue, it was obvious why the fire had never worked properly. It was an odd mix of various pipes and bends fitted to accommodate the existing external flue which had to remain as this is a listed building. The new flue is a work of art, it’s such a shame that now the register plate is back no one will ever see it again. The way they have connected the flue through the plate and into the fire, which is visible, is extremely neat. A massive improvement on what we had before. We are really impressed with the Woodwarm fire, we hadn’t heard of them before and just went with Jeremy’s recommendation but it’s a massive improvement on the very famous make of fire we had previously. We are very glad that we took the plunge and decided to swap our log burner, even happier that we chose Continental Fires to do the work for us.

The office staff are always polite, cheerful and helpful. The service carried out on my gas fire was done efficiently and any questions I had were answered clearly by the extremely pleasant Jeremy West.

Quotation received very quickly even though the showroom was very busy and then what seemed (to me) a super quick installation! No mess, very friendly and informative installers.

Ordered a fire for my 90-year-old mother - From the very first visit to view the location and explain our options, Continental Fireplaces were an excellent company to deal with. They gave friendly and helpful advice, along with an honest assessment and appraisal of what would be required, and where any stumbling blocks (such as clear chimney) might be encountered. Communication from start to finish has been excellent and their staff friendly, helpful and professional, leaving my clean and tidy. Having recently had a wood burner installed by Contintental Fireplaces, we can highly recommend them. The tradesmen - Matt and Andy - who completed the job were cheerful and clearly enjoyed their work and their attention to detail couldn't be faulted. They certainly are a credit to the company. Jeremy, who done the initial survey, later came to advise us on how to get the best from the fire. He even gave us a bag of dried wood to get us started. I can't say how good this company has been, their communication has been brilliant throughout the project. Any delays in manufacture we were always informed immediately. They turn up to site smartly presented, professional and show the upmost care for your home. Protecting the floor and surroundings and treating your home as they would their own. It was a very special fire that they installed and the company was more than up to the job. I would recommend them to anyone. I would give them 6 Stars if I could.
