Problem free obtaining quote from rep, then the fitters arrived on time and completed the work to schedule. Only down side was Coral rang late on the Friday before installation was due on the Monday, saying they would have to put the price up by £180 from quoted price to cover cost of trim around new door frame. Surely that should have been included in quoted price.

We chose Coral Windows to replace our bathroom window because of its good reviews on Which? although it was more expensive than out other quotes and because the window had a U rating of 1.4. (We were actually aiming for a lower value, but could only find one company which provided under 1, and that cost 3 times as much). In general the organisation and communication were very good on the initial visit, follow-up, pre-installation visit, right through to receipt of Fensa documents. Two problems: 1) We agreed on a U value of 1.4 and this was written on our sheet, but on the pre-site visit, we were told that Coral do not do lower than 1.6. We were referred to the WER standards, which are calculated in a different way. Although not over happy about this, we did not have time to change as we were about to go on holiday and the window was phase one of a full bathroom refit planned for soon after our return. 2) Fitting day. We were scheduled for around mid-day but when nobody had arrived by 2 pm I rang Coral, to be told that the window could not be fitted on the day arranged. Fitters arrived early the next day but without a critical part, so it had to be postponed again. It was fitted on the third day. Only one key to the window was provided. I asked if it was possible to get a spare but none arrived while we were away. I still have to chase this up. The window looks good.

Coral install a conservatory and sliding French doors to our home , we were initially pleased with both the quality and service we received, due to a long term illness I have ( Osteoarthritis in my knee )i was unable to go in to the new installation to deep clean and polish when the work was completed, it was therefore I did not discover a deep scratch in one of French door glass panels. I reported to coral and the service engineer attended and said the glass would have to be replaced, I the received an email from coral say as I had reported this five weeks after installation due to terms and conditions they would not replace the glass the panel free of charge .

Thank you for your comments. We pride ourselves on the quality of our installs and product, and in the response of our team when things do go wrong to rectify them, which is why we never take any payments or deposits prior to completion of the job. As such we ask that our customers check the job thoroughly at completion before they pay. We then as part of our terms and conditions give a period where the customer can check for damages or any other snags which may have been missed which is 4 weeks, we are happy that this is a fair amount of time to check for scratches, especially given the scratch in question is as you described to us in a very noticeable position as you go up to the glass. Your initial complaint was raised after 5 weeks, which is outside our terms and conditions and after by your own acknowledgement after you had other tradespeople working in the conservatory. Despite this we sent out engineers and offered several solutions including repairing the scratch, as our install manager recommended following an inspection. This was done and you acknowledged you were happy with the solution. I am therefore disappointed that you have chosen to leave us a negative review regarding service as I feel given the circumstances, we have repaired the unit at our cost, despite it being outside of our terms and conditions. I am, however, happy that you acknowledge in your rating the quality of the product we provided.

Despite a formal written complaint 5 weeks ago (& an unanswered email complaint before that) my snagging is still not complete after 10 wks waiting (and it's only 1 window). I agreed a convenient snagging date well in advance for the original team to come back, but this date was changed at less than 24hrs notice, then was a 'no show' on this new date, then was changed back to the original date, then a different snagging team came! The workmanship of this team could be called into question, but more importantly they turned up with the wrong trickle vent for one of the two main snags to be sorted and that was the last I heard from Coral, nearly 3 wks ago. I also now have 4x3" sticker marks sometimes showing up on the outside of the replacement glass, probably because it was left unfitted in the workshop for six wks or more and not cleaned. You wouldn't think I was a returning customer, or that the complaints policy requires issues to be resolved within 4 weeks! I live in a very exposed location and the whole idea of an installation in the first week of September was to beat the weather, but here I am 11 wks later (nearly December), lashed by storms & still waiting. In summary, non-existent aftercare including a trickle vent that still does not close fully (a requirement of Building Regs) and is inappropriate for the location (a third storey, fully-exposed to Pennine gales; non-standard) which I questioned upfront. I now have draughts and wind noise where there were none before.

The first two windows were installed on 15/05/19. Coral Windows wanted full payment then, I was told payment on completion. The third window was installed on 22/05/19. Coral Windows telephone asking how was I paying for the last window but they could not tell me when and what time the workers were coming. We waited all day until 1700 hours before completion. No good enough.

The overall service has been sporadic at best. Original installation date was cancelled last minute. I had to call the main office to find out if they had recommenced installations and eventually to find out if/when my new installation date had been organised. So poor communication. The sales team were great but the installers were grumpy and unapproachable. Even details such as the sealant beads were poorly completed. A side gate was damaged with no explanation. When calling about this issue, I was met with poor customer service and a insincere apology. I got the impression that work had been rushed, in order to speed up invoicing. As the installation location was not in West Yorkshire. Every Coral representative gave the impression that I had inconvenienced them due to the journey time.

Not happy with the quality of both the windows and doors, had to have them out to fix a front door and one of the downstairs windows, and I had not even had the windows a year, luckily they fixed the problems rather quickly.

Nightmare! Ongoing 4 months on!

Nightmare of a company my installation for full windows and doors was back in November 2022. They are still on with the job. So far issues have been: Windows not ordered to fit. The door was not being ordered in time. Moving fitters onto other jobs. Late starts. Poor workmanship. Lack of communication. Arrogant manager. The platform for fitting was not delivered delaying work. A door was installed with a mark on it. Another door needs to be composite filled as marked. Patio doors needed adjusting - came back they dropped. The bedroom window is fitted incorrectly with water leaking in A scratch on the window needed a new panel. Sorry but if you ask me avoid at all costs! I wish I had but hopefully, on Friday I’ll never have to see them again!

I had a door fitted by Coral windows and have had nothing but problems. They have been out obout 5 times to refit but still have not been able to do a good job. They measured the door wrong and despite fool proof evidence they are still adamant that 945mm is actually 905mm. They fitted the wrong frame, damaged the drainage at the property, damaged the external and internal walls, left sealent all over skirting boards ands walls, the door is missalaigned. Absolutley awful work and refuse to put right. I wish i could upload photos here to show the horrendous work

The door we installed is fit for purpose in October 2022 and you have not contacted us recently to say the door is not working properly. We can also confirm , your complaint was closed by the third party and the Financial Ombudsman Services who you personally instigated, and we can confirm we have not been contacted by the courts. Long story short, we had our door fitted last September, we were over the moon with it. That was until March/April, when we got the first sun/ heat on it. I believe that a thermal expansion occurred and it has never went back to normal. Since then we had ongoing issues with locking mechanism. Either not allowing us to unlock the door, keeping us trapped inside or not allowing us to lock it at all. We had 4 engineers come out, Coral cannot see the problem. 6 months in nearly and it's still as bad. We now have a very pretty door, which does not allow for the draft to come through, as it won't lock, not all the time, only at night though...

Purchased a new conservatory roof, floor and electrics (interior and external) from Coral. Work was due to start on 30/3/21 for 4 days, but on the first day of my annual leave, they phoned at approx 9am to say they would not be coming until the following day, and gave a revised estimate of 9 days for the work (this finally completed on 14/4/21). Work was not carried out safely. They left live wiring on the ground outside, which blew the lights when it rained. They left internal light fittings full of dust and debris (another hazard, fortunately it was noticed while painting). The trunking for the external wiring fell down within 2 weeks, and they have caused damage to the existing window frames, as well as leaving rubbish all over the garden (screws, plastic, wires, light fittings). Communication has been really poor, I've had to chase every step of the way, and I'm still awaiting a resolution to of the repairs.
