Had a new heating system installed two years ago and it was serviced by the installer last year as an annual check. However, despite leaving messages this year for the engineer to carry out the due service, he never got back to me. Found Robert's details through scanning reviews on line and saw that he was Vaillant accredited engineer. Got in touch with him and although he was very busy, made time to come and service my system. Not only that, whilst carrying out the service he had noted that the gas test level had dropped. After highlighting this he checked my gas fire and discovered a gas leak. Robert very quickly isolated where the leak was coming from and sorted the problem making the appliance safe - with no extra charge! I was so impressed and delighted with his workmanship and diligence. Very reasonably priced and was very thorough.I have no hesitation in recommending Cowan Plumbing and Heating.

We had a brilliant experience in regards to our heating system not fully firing up the radiators in the house. A complete power flush and a new radiator installed has made a massive difference. The boiler was also serviced. All communication was outstanding as was the service and honestly one of the best professionals we have used.

Robert arrived to replace my kitchen tap which was not a straight forward job took him 10 minutes to work out the best way to do the job and 20 minutes to do it. Showed above average thinking to solve the problem and do the job. Charged a price that was reasonable, a highly skilled plumber and honest tradesman.

We had a leaking joint to an upstairs toilet cistern with water dripping through the ceiling of the room below. Via Trusted Traders we found and contacted Cowan Plumbing and Heating and in spite of it being out with normal working hours we received a visit only a short time later. The issue was identified and attended to quickly and efficiently and our property was treated with respect. We were very impressed with the prompt, friendly and efficient service provided and we would definitely want to use Cowan Plumbing and Heating again for any future plumbing needs. 3rd time using Robert. He installed our new boiler 4 yrs ago and did fantastic job. Comes back yearly to check boiler. He came Tuesday 27th June and did annual check of boiler, fitted a new kitchen tap for me, and put an outdoor cold water tap in terrace for me. I Called last week we had arranged day and time. When I texts he replies quickly and is such a helpful guy. He is Punctual, tidy, lovely natured guy and very good price for doing 3 jobs in one day. Wanted to replace our slightly erratic combi boiler before it failed! Thought the Which Trusted Trader was a reassuring way to find a supplier. Robert responded quickly and on survey visit was straightforward and very clear on what he would do! His comments also helped greatly in influencing my choice of unit. His quote was prompt and bang on what my research suggested. On day of installation, he came exactly when he said he would! He worked tirelessly all day, did a very thorough job on flushing and removing silt from our radiators. (They already feel hotter on walking past them.) On completion he left everything clean and tidy and helped with initial setting up of the thermostat controls. All in all, a no nonsense, polite and professional young man who absolutely deserves his Trusted Trader status. We’re delighted we selected him for this work! We’ve had a few disappointments with traders in the past. Robert is a refreshing change!

Excellent, considerate, polite and professional. We 1st met Robert when looking for quotes for a new boiler. This was an unplanned replacement so we did have luxury of time . Robert assessed our home and suggested solutions to meet our needs. The price offered was extremely competitive. The job was carried out professionally and considerately and very tidy. I would not hesitate in recommending Robert to anyone. We have since had Robert back to our home to help with further plumbing improvement works, again the same level of service has been experienced throughout.

Robert installed a new Viessmann boiler for us. He responded promptly to my quote request and his price was very competitive. Communication via text message was very good and he kept us informed at all stages. On the day of installation, he was punctual and worked very hard to install the boiler and make any necessary modifications. He was able to rectify any problems encountered. He is a clean and tidy worker and also arranged for the disposal of our old boiler. He also took care of the paperwork including the guarantee documentation. All in all, a first-class service. Highly recommended.

A family member had offered to fit a new downstairs toilet and sink but he came into difficulty so we asked about for a decent plumber. A neighbour recommended Robert who came out and assessed the WC and other plumbing concerns in the main bathroom. He was polite and friendly and advised that work needing carried out in the bathroom weren’t going to be as big a job as we thought. He later advised the price of the job which we thought was reasonable. Due to water damage in downstairs toilet he came and removed the bathroom suite and at a later date came back to move radiator pipes once flooring had been lifted. And again once new flooring had been fitted he returned to fit the toilet and sink. Excellent job done and cleared up after himself. Would recommend and use again if needed.

I contacted Cowan Plumbing & Heating in regards to a new heating system. Robert was out very quickly to survey. He then produced a quote with different boiler options all of which were very competitive and inclusive of extended warranties which he explained clearly. Robert Cowan heating and plumbing engineers did a great job of replacing and upgrading my boiler. He gave me a receipt for what work he was going to carry out and never charged any money till the job was done. Now the job is completed which he did in one day I can see how good a job he did. Robert fitted a VALLIANT boiler. The boiler also has a 10 year warranty as Robert is A VALLIANT approved and trained fitter. He also fitted a VALLIANT wireless programmer which can work with a phone app. So I am very happy with the quality of the work, cleanliness and my hot water and heating is best it's ever been so I can highly recommend Robert Cowan heating and plumbing service First class job in my honest opinion.

Having had a leaking boiler on one of the coldest days of the year and an unsuccessful "fix" by a local plumber, I decided to look in to getting a replacement. Robert came out to quote for the job the day I contacted him and advised me on what was required and when he could do the job. As the price was competitive and the boiler suggested was a Which Best Buy I accepted his quote. On the day of installation Robert was punctual and worked on until the job was done. He tided up after himself and talked me through the new controls. Throughout the process Roberts communication has been great. He has responded to any queries I had and he's followed up to ensure everything was okay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Robert to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable plumber.

Robert replaced my boiler on time and for the price quoted. His customer service was excellent, he took my old boiler away and when he was finished my kitchen was immaculate. He went through the controls, how to top up the pressure and arranged the warranty on my behalf. Will happily recommend Robert to family and friends

Robert came to us at short notice & fitted us in even though he wanted to clear his existing work before Christmas. We had a badly leaking kitchen mixer tap which he removed & replaced with a new unit. We had to attend a hospital appointment at 1pm so he came to us early morning so we could keep it. We are glad to repay his diligence by referring him as a trusted trader.

Robert fitted a new Vaillant boiler as our old one was on its last legs. He arrived on time and spent the next 12 hours fitting our boiler. His standard of work was first class and he really didn’t stop for a break. He was very tidy and there was absolutely no mess. We are pleased with the boiler and the price which was very competitive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Robert and will get him him to service our boiler in a years time.

Robert came to fit a new living room radiator and to cap off some gas pipes in the kitchen. Despite being obviously very busy, and on fairly short notice, he made a great effort to accommodate us and do the work when he had a chance. The work was done to a very high standard and with almost no damage to the plasterboard when fitting the radiator. No mess left either. Finally, the price was excellent - a fraction of what we were quoted by another plumber, who stopped responding to phone calls and text messages after agreeing to go the week. Very, very happy and would highly recommend.

Very busy but came and quickly resolved our problem. Fixed radiator leak and was very professional, friendly, and good value. Have already asked him to do a full central heating check for us as extremely pleased with the level of service he provides. Robert has just installed a new electric shower replacing a 20-year-old previous one and has carried out the job in his normal professional manner. This is the third job Robert has done for me and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone requiring any plumbing services.

Robert has done many pieces of work in my house over the years, from servicing and maintaining my combi boiler and gas fire to fixing a broken toilet to sorting out leaking plumbing and taps that don’t work. He is wonderful to work with: obliging, straightforward, does what he says he’ll do, tells you straight what the issues are, and charges what he says he will charge.
