Cox and Sons Roofing

After finding a broken roof slate on the ground, I called this company who arranged an appointment for the next day to view the damage. The following day the damage had been fixed, the scaffolding had been erected and removed, all by 10.30 a.m. The work was done efficiently and in a friendly and helpful way to accommodate my needs. I would certainly use the company again if needed.

I tasked them to sort out what an incompetent roofer had done to my roof They did it fast and effeciently with no mess and what looks like an excellent job nice!!!

We needed work done on our back roof - this involved replacing tiles, reducing the height and capping off a chimney, and replacing old guttering and boards. They came round to give an initial assessment, and took pictures to make it clearer to see the state of the roof, chimney and guttering, as it was in an area which could not easily be seen from ground level. They gave us a quote and booked us in, and said the work would take three days, and arrangements would be made to provide a skip, erect the necessary scaffolding, and remove it when the job was completed. The whole operation was really smooth from start to finish: communication was excellent, they always turned up when they said they would and worked tidily and efficiently. We are delighted with the finished result. They obviously have a great working relationship with Lee and his company who dealt with the scaffolding: again, great communication, reliability and efficiency. Ellie, James and Josh were great - working with great sensitivity to us, and you feel they take real pride in their work. You may have to wait for them to fit you in as they are obviously in high demand, but we would have no hesitation in saying they are worth the wait. Highly recommended.

I contacted this trader as they are local to me and had good reviews. They told me they have a policy of not working in school streets (which have restricted parking). This covers many of the streets in Waltham Forest. It would be good to highlight these restrictions in the information about the company.

Cox's was recommended to us after a previous firm added further damage to our roof. Cox's were polite and informative providing photos and information about the work that needed to be done. They took great care when entering our home and after the work was completed removed all rubbish and using their own equipment swept and washed surfaces so that it was left exactly as they found it. Needless to say the quality of the work was excellent.

Such a wonderful experience to encounter such a well run local family business. Laura's communication on whatsapp was brilliant throughout. Josh, James and Ellie arrived punctually at the specified time and they politely and patiently answered all my questions before working diligently all day. I had a bay window flat roof covering replaced and new front guttering installed and am very satisfied with the result. Alan kindly popped back a couple of days later to complete an additional small job (replacing a hip tile) Highly recommended.

This is the second job that AJ Cox have done for us. Some years ago they replaced a flat roof which is still going strong, and just now installed a Velux window in the loft. On both occasions they have done a great job, when they said they would, at the price quoted, easy to deal with and a pleasure to have around.

From start to finish, this is a professional organisation. From start to finish I was kept informed. No surprises and the job was started or completed and all within the timeline given. Very friendly team.

Can't say more than what has already been said. Polite, efficient and inspired full confidence. Our border terrier fell in love too! Spotless cleanup. Brentwood Scaffolding were equally as good with seamless coordination between them and Cox Roofing. I will be adding them to my v. small list of London contractors you can trust.

I can't rate Cox and Sons highly enough. From my initial phone contact to settling their invoice, I'd award them 6 stars if I could! So helpful and professional, a pleasure to deal with. I had a couple of slipped tiles and a long piece of guttering which had lost several brackets - both looked ready to fall. Alan managed to visit me in between other jobs. He quoted me there and then, a very reasonable price, and carried out the remedial work. The work looks great and I am very happy customer. I would highly recommend Cox and Sons roofing.

Three of them came to replace my old gutters. Efficient and friendly, and exactly as agreed. Insisted on taking off boots when going to the loo upstairs.

"Cox sons and daughter" replaced the flashing on our roof. The work was carried out calmly and smoothly, to a high standard. The team were very pleasant and friendly. They immediately inspired confidence. A careful, clean and thorough job.

Cox and Sons have been absolutely fantastic to work with. From a thorough visit to establish what the right work to be done is (rather than others just eyeballing it and guessing) through to completion of the job. Everyone has been very friendly, professional and it has just generally been a very nice experience. We will definitely contact them again for any future work!

Renewal of guttering, and soffit which required scaffolding. So easy to deal with; lovely people and very accommodating when we hit a snag of access to the rear of the property. I would recommend whole-heartedly.

In the end, I did not use this company because I chose to have a zinc roof again, and they do not work with this material. However, their quote was excellent and very detailed, as well as being professionally produced. I would definitely recommend them and if my main roof or gutters and soffits needed adjusting or repaired then I would be in touch. Importantly, Mr Cox was pleasant and attentive and I felt safe talking to him - unlike my dealings with other roofers and tradesmen recently.

The pre-visit was particularly thorough and demonstrated a good understanding of some problems with the guttering that had failed to be dealt with by previous workmen. The administration and planning was very professional and reliable with no change of dates etc. On the day of the work, the team were very capable, friendly and thorough with a full grasp of the issues. It is especially useful to have the person making the original recommendations being the one who carries out the work - something that doesn't often happen. All-in-all I was very pleased with the work.

Alan and family installed a replacement flat roof and repaired a shed roof, coping tiles and other bits and pieces & installed a light well. The work is excellent with a great finish. The team are highly professional, communicate very well and do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it (and more on this occasion). They solve issues arising with no fuss and are highly reliable. They are a real pleasure to deal with and very friendly and trustworthy. It is so reassuring to be able to relax while work is being done and know they will turn up each day as promised. Very well done and thank you.

Cox's completed a lead bay roof for me. Could not fault them. Came and quoted quickly and gave a good lead time for starting the work which they met and turned up when they said they would..
