Well, what can we say other than Cox Format delivered an exemplary loft extension during incredibly difficult times. The primary team, lead by James, had a work ethic we've never experienced from any other trade we've ever worked with. Come rain or shine, they were at our door at 7.30am waiting to start work. And, at the end of every day, they took the time and effort to ensure they left the house as tidy as it could possibly be. A huge thanks to James, Ash, Jack (and the rest of their team) for their enthusiasm and efforts to ensure we achieved the build we were trying to achieve. From a back office point of view, Mark (Project Manager) was always in contact ensuring we knew exactly what was going on. He was always on hand should we need anything. Did we have any minor issues? Yes, of course. What job wouldn't have any? But, were they sorted out? Absolutely. The Cox Format team take pride in owning any challenges and ensuring they are solved. Would we use Cox in the future? 100% yes. In fact, we've already contacted them to obtain a quote for our side extension! Finally, just to say a massive thank you to Cox for their work.

We had Cox Format complete our single storey rear extension. They took the project from start to end, using their in-house architect through to planning and the build. Our builders, Roy and Charlie were great. They worked incredibly well together and were quick, tidy and generally flawless in their craftsmanship. The brickwork was on point, with there not being a noticeable difference from the old build to the new. Mark was on hand to discuss any concerns, provide advice and dealt with the project throughout its entirety. We are very pleased with the finish. Thank you all at Cox Format.

After several glowing recommendations from business acquaintances about work that Cox Format had undertaken for them, and finding I needed a new roof too, we booked a consultation with Peter Maton the CEO. Peter visited us with Mark Rossi who was to become our Project Manager. With both, their experience and professionalism was immediately evident and reassured us from the start. One of the things that really sets Cox Format apart is that they deal with the job from start to finish. They designed the loft along with all structural elements, and dealt with the council’s Planning and Building Control all the way through to sign-off. The other is that they have trained all their staff from an apprenticeship level and it really shows in comparison with other builders who tend to sub out a lot of work. We received a very professional quote along with information on how to notify our neighbours of Party Wall issues. Once we accepted the quote, Mark came back with James, who was our onsite Project Manager. James was exceptional – he really managed all on site elements of the job from start to finish. He kept the job on-track and to an incredibly high standard, even our neighbours couldn’t stop singing his praises. The advice, support and quality of the workmanship was superb. Cox Format had a slogan on their banner which went up on our scaffolding, “On budget, on time….every time.” They more than lived up to the promise and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

The job was to build an extension at the rear of the house for a wet room next to the small kitchen involving removal of an old toilet block which in turn would give further space to the kitchen. Plans and any queries were thoroughly talked through by the team with ourselves beforehand and throughout the job. Important to us. Payment was done as each stage of the job was completed and our satisfaction assured. The builder - professional - and crew were very hardworking, thoughtful, polite and tidied at the end if each day. The end result was a piece of craftsmanship - a creation of space one could not have imagined. We would recommend Cox for your building needs.

We took our time to make a decision regarding building companies. With such a big project, we wanted to make sure we got it right. We could not be happier that we decided to go with Cox Format. The builders were all professional, courteous and respectful of ours and our neighbours' properties. They were always on time and tidied up at the end of every day. We had an L-shaped, double dormer, loft conversion on our Victorian terraced house. The work was completed on schedule in 6 weeks, despite bad weather, and was of an excellent standard. The whole team were professional and very easy to deal with. There was clear communication between all of the Cox format team, the project manager and ourselves, and queries and changes were dealt with in a timely manner. There was a clearly laid out payment plan with transparent costings. We would thoroughly recommend the company.

We recently completed an extension to the rear of our house. From the start of the design process through to the construction, Cox Format demonstrated professionalism, expertise and customer service with a clear passion for their business. From start to finish the project went smoothly. We had regular meetings with the Project Manager to receive updates, review progress and discuss any changes. Any last minute changes were incorporated easily. The workforce turned up promptly every morning at 7AM and were respectful and trustworthy, and accomplished excellent work with paying attention to detail. Our home surroundings were protected to prevent any damage. We were impressed with the workmanship and speed with which the work progressed. The workplace was always left clean, tidy and safe at the end of the day. We've had an excellent experience with Cox Format and are very pleased with our finished product which was delivered on time and within budget. I would recommend Cox Format as our expectations were highly met and simply, quite stress free due to their organised and dedicated approach to their business.
