Craig Walker Electrical

Craig first came out in response to my description of a broken light fitting plus other work needing doing on his way home from day's work. He and his co-worker, Gary made safe what had accidentally been left as a live wire! Then, as the first floor lighting was found to be hazardous, they were asked to return and fix it in addition to upgrading the main fuse box. A quote was given It took a day of solid, careful work and throughout, they kept me informed, worked with me when I needed space or access, were polite and cheerful and brought the work to a conclusion at the original quote, with helpful information as to how the electrics worked in this property (which is not new, but new to me). Importantly, the system was made safe, the work done as described and on quote and the working area was left as clean and tidy as it had been beforehand. The communications were always timely, precise and helpful so, I have no hesitation in recommending Craig and would ask him again if the situation arose.

Craig removed my old storage heaters, replacing with more modern electric radiators. He installed a new consumer unit, upgraded and tested all wiring, and also installed a replacement kitchen light. He is knowledgeable and thorough, and provided a comprehensive report of the work. His work is to a high standard. Craig is efficient, approachable and offers helpful advice. I am very pleased with the work carried out, and I will be using his services again. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Craig came very quickly to assess the job. He returned a few days later to do the work once the parts were obtained. He worked quickly and efficiently. We wouldn’t hesitate to call him in again for any other electrical work.

Craig Walker came to: Investigate my underfloor heating fault. Poor connection and damage cable resulted in overheating cable. Cable was replaced. Lighting fault, Light fitting wired reverse polarity, causing LED bulb to blow. Two way switching incorrectly wired. Light fitting rewired and working correctly. He was recommended to me by a family member. He came and completed the work in the estimated time. I wanted to get my underfloor heating up and running for the coming winter, I was dreading it, but needn't have worried, because it was done and finished in no time at all. He was courteous, reliable and in my opinion went above and beyond, I didn't have the LED Bulbs to replace the blown ones so he went off to buy them, so I didn't have to climb a ladder to replace them myself. He completed the work to my satisfaction, by leaving the kitchen, the hall and upstairs landing clean and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to employ him again, and definitely would recommend him to a friend or family member.

Craig carried out a whole house visual inspection and provided me with a very detailed report. In addition he gave me excellent advice which was to my advantage. I am looking forward to his carrying out the necessary work with the same good humour and high level of skill.

I asked Craig to quote for 3 jobs: reinstalling a bedroom socket which had been knocked off an interior wall (it could not be recessed as hoped because it backed onto a recessed socket on the other side of the wall); refitting the boiler connection in the airing cupboard which had been left partly exposed and unsightly when a new boiler and hot water tank were fitted in late 2021, and supplying and installing a new security light above our back door. He attended promptly on three occasions: to give an estimate, to do the bulk of the work including fitting new cable for the outside light and finally to fit the light he recommended, which works perfectly. Craig showed me that the single insulated cables within the boiler connection had been misleadingly wired by the gas boiler workmen (in that the green and yellow earth wire had been used for the live connection), and confirmed that interior grade cable had been used for the external light. He remedied both issues and left everything working well with our home clean and tidy. The work took longer than he had originally estimated but he adhered to the original, very reasonable, quote. We found Craig very pleasant and helpful and would not hesitate to use his services again.

Asked Craig to carry out rewiring work to garage electrics. Came very quickly to review and advised what work and materials would be needed and quoted a price. A week later arrived as agreed despite freezing cold weather and completed initial work agreed and additional installation of lighting. Also completed an extra ceiling rose repair in the house. Very pleased with new consumer unit , rewired and additional socket circuits plus LED fluorescent lights which are so much better than old units. Craig is very friendly and approachable and offers helpful advice on the best way to meet your requirements. Would most certainly call Craig for any future work

Craig carried out an electrical inspection. It was easy to understand, and I felt I could ask as many questions as I needed to.
