CSM Electrical

I recently had Chris from CSM Electrical install recessed lighting for me in my lounge. Last year he did a number of other electrical jobs for me. On all occasions, he arrived on time, consulted me where necessary during the job and completed the work to a very high standard. Chris's attention to detail is second to none (especially important for electrical work!) as is his professionalism. Everything was completely safe and up to code where necessary. He also left everything clean and tidy. I will be using Chris again in the future. I can highly recommend CSM Electrical.

I used CSM Electrical for an exterior lighting installation at my property and was very pleased with the result. The service was professional and efficient throughout. I used Chris for a few electrical jobs ahead of some decorating. He replaced the consumer unit, replaced and added new spots in my kitchen, added lighting to my garage and added an outlet and trunking behind my wall-mounted TV. When he initially did his survey for a quote, he was very knowledgeable and made suggestions for things I hadn't thought about or was struggling with. The estimate was in the ballpark of what I was expecting. There was a small wait for the work to be done. I didn't get other quotes as I was confident he'd do a good job. When here, he and his colleague (can't remember his name, he was tall!) respected my property and worked diligently. If they made any mess, they cleared it up. Once gone, the only sign they were here was the work they'd done. Highly recommended. May be a little more expensive (I don't know). May have to wait a little longer (someone available soon isn't a good thing).

Chris undertook three smallish electrical jobs for me yesterday: (1) He connected power to my Ring front door bell, directly from my consumer unit (fuse box) with the use of a 'Ring' transformer. (2) He replaced a noisy old extractor fan, in my ground floor loo, with a modern new one, which is much quieter. (3) Finally he connected up power to a new upstairs bathroom cabinet, with a brilliant 'touchless' light switch. I have already passed on his contact details to a friend of my daughter, who was looking for a reliable local electrician in the Norwich area. In conclusion, I am very happy with his work.

Chris from CSM Electrical completed all the electrical work to a high standard, including fitting a whole new fuse box (consumer unit) to the house, a hob and several mains sockets. He was very friendly and polite, and overcame a couple of complications encountered along the way with ease. Everything related to his work was tidied and hoovered away very nicely. I think my house was cleaner after he'd finished than when he started!

Chris, who is a very experienced electrician, installed an upgraded CU and carried out electrical remedials which he had recommended as needing doing. He also did an EIC inspection and provided the subsequent report. I was very happy with his work and found him to be very well organised and a good communicator, willing to explain about whatever I asked concerning the work. I have no hesitation in recommending him wholeheartedly.

I requested Chris to complete an EIC after he came highly recommended on Facebook. Chris also completed a few minor repairs. I have only ever used a friend's now ex-husband for our electrics so was a bit worried about instructing a new person. I needn't have worried. Chris took the time to explain everything carefully, making sure that I understood what needed to happen and providing the costs ahead of time so that there weren't any nasty surprises on the day. His prices were very fair and competitive in today's market. Chris was very informative, explaining everything in layman's terms and was honest and upfront about some potential safety hazards which needed addressing. I will be sure to initiate Chris's services again in the future when I need an electrician, and I would be happy to recommend him to others.

I contacted Chris back in April after seeing a post on Facebook from a mutual friend who he works closely along side, to enquire about a new plug socket to be installed. With in the week Chris came round and gave us a free quote for the work to be carried out. A month or so later when we were ready to proceed with the work, I contacted Chris again, and he fitted us in. The night before our agreed date he emailed me to make sure everything was still good to go ahead. Through out the day I had regular updates as to when he would be arriving. Care and attention was made when installing our new sockets. You wouldn’t know it hadn’t already been there! Fantastic work. Would highly recommend for any electrical works.

I contacted CSM Electrical after looking at the Which? Trusted Trader site, looking for a local electrician to look at a problem with our shower. Chris was back in touch within hours and actually managed to fit the job in same day. An amazingly prompt service, backed up by a really pleasant on-site manner when looking at the job. Chris came up with the solution and got it all sorted without any fuss, and totally cleaned up after completing the job. Thanks for such good service, Chris.

Chris came by to fix some interior and exterior lights in our house that were behaving incorrectly (flickering kitchen light over the sink and "disco mode" flashing outdoor motion-sensitive light). In addition to doing this, he also worked with us (free of charge!) to assess our house-wide electricity situation (including helping us discover why certain breakers kept being tripped under what seemed like normal load). The invoice was issued a week after the work and was for the agreed amount. Chris was very kind, friendly, and helpful, and highly professional as well, but very happy too to educate us on UK house wiring and our particular situation. I would definitely work with him again!

I've known and used Chris as my electrician for about a year now. During that time, he's done many jobs for me. Our shower isolator switch had broken and we also requested a check of our shower unit. Chris fitted us in very quickly. He came and resolved everything the same day. He was really helpful, provided detailed information and kept in touch, making sure we were completely happy.
