We contacted Cure for a quote as several panels had misted and needed replacing and we had some windows that would not open . The visit for a quote was prompt, the cost for the job was very good, the work was carried out professionally by Andy and we would highly recommend them and use them again. Really friendly service.

They came today to look at a window which would not close. They told me there is no adjustment in the hinges and it has bowed slightly, but if I went outside and pushed slightly up as well as it in might shut. That was it. they left. I tried it and it worked. Thanks

I have had a very good experience with Cure from the moment I contacted the firm. The initial appointment went well, I was clear about what could be done and the cost. Making decisions about the work was therefore not difficult and I did not feel in any way pressurised. On the day Andy rang me up to tell me he would be 15 minutes late. Andy worked for several hours replacing 3 glass units, repairing a handle and reapplying sealant at the bottom of windows where the previous sealant had blackened over the years. I was struck by the amount of care he took with the work and the result is stunning. Andy was very careful with my house and gave me useful advice on how to care for the windows in the future. He was polite at all times. I feel that the price I paid was well worth it, my windows are about 25 years old, I now know how to keep them in a good condition and I will not hesitate to employ Cure again.

Excellent service, the guys turned up when they said, assed the job and got on with it, the weather was terrible, pouring with rain and blowing a hoolie, quickly sorted our leaking conservatory doors, no more drafts. Thanks very much.

Turned up on time, very polite and worn mask. Explain work required and used dust sheets to protect area. Replaced bent fire escape hinge and realigned lock. Cleaned area where working. Highly recommend and would consider using again.

I have used this company on two occasions in the last six months to fix lots of small problems with my existing 20 year old double glazing. New lock and letter box on front door. patio door that had come off its track and new lock and handle and adjustment of upstairs window. On each occasion quotation was given appointment made and Cure turned up on time and executed the work efficiently. Very polite and friendly service.

Second time we have used this company. Having problems with closing the back door. Appointment arranged as soon as contacted. They even came and did a temporary fix shortly afterwards and then a full service on the date and time agreed. Could not fault the work. We moved into this house 18 months ago. Many of the windows didn't close properly or had dodgy hinges on the verge of breaking. Despite the windows being closed drafts could still be felt. Dave spent a day working tirelessly, fixing, replacing, barely stopping from start to finish. He was a pleasure to chat to, polite and friendly, efficient and thoughtful. Conservatory door lock had broken. Initial phone conversation very friendly and helpful, and today when David turned up to check what was wrong with the door he explained the issue, checked that he had the parts and was able to replace the lock there and then. Very polite, good workmanship and also tidied up after himself. Have used them previously about 5 years ago and had the same type of service. Highly recommend them.

We had window hinges replaced and a multi point lock on our kitchen door. The work was executed cleanly and efficiently and we are delighted with the result. Our double glazing is over 25 years old but the repairs have made a huge difference to sound reduction and the warmth of the rooms. I have known and used Cure Double Glazing Repairs over a number of years for a variety of different jobs. Without exception this is what has always happened: You call them or write for a discussion on the problems. They always reply or call back promptly and are happy to "guesstimate" rough prices based on worst cases about what you tell them. They arrange and keep appointments, prompt arrival. They clearly explain the "could be" causes of problems and, perhaps more important, advise on potential costs depending on the actions they will take. Once work is underway they seem to be very efficient. Dust sheets and vacuum cleaning ensure they leave the site clean and tidy. Today's tasks included fitting a new front door handle set and aligning the lock mechanism and re-jigging a pair of french window style doors which now operate more smoothly than when first installed around 8 years ago. I won't give actual costs for these jobs because each job Cure undertakes is likely to be a bit different and so different prices would apply. But what cannot be disputed is that their bill seemed to be very reasonable considering their travel costs, materials, time on-site and, of course, their undeniable expertise. And, naturally, Dave is a real gent and a pleasure to deal with. Brilliant. Thanks - I shall call again if other jobs arise.

Reliable rang to say he was running late which I thought was very thoughtful. Kept to his time limit for work and to budget. Did an excellent job of ensuring my back door now closes correctly. This is not the first time I have used them and find them reasonably priced. Very useful to be able to pay directly to them via bacs rather and have to write cheque or find cash. Have no doubt I will use them for any future problems and recommend to friends

I have a pair of 10 year old uPVC French doors that had dropped and wouldn’t close correctly. Dave from Cure arrived on time and was very professional. He advised me on the options range from the most cost effective through to a full strip and rebuild with a 2 year warranty. I went for the full rebuild and was very impressed by Dave’s attention to detail and clean working area. All work was completed in 2 hours and the doors now closes and locks as if they were new. I would definitely recommend Dave and Cure for French door repairs and keep his number in my phone book for future problems. They also accept payment via bank transfer which makes life a lot easier.

This is the second time I have used them. The first was to replace a handle on the bathroom window. Very knowledgeable and uses the best replacements. Good work and friendly. This time to replace the wheels on the bottom of a patio door. Again did a great job. was friendly, courteous and efficient. Can easily recommend them.

I phoned Cure Double Glazing Repairs after reading good reviews on the internet. I needed the rollers on a patio door changed . Dave turned up at exactly the arranged time , He was very professional and polite and quickly got on with the job . He soon had the job done cleaned up and that was it . I have recently used Cure for the first time and was very impressed. Dave came around as arranged despite heavy snow when the rest of the UK ground to a halt. Advice, and a quote, was given and he returned within the week to carry out the work quickly, professionally and without mess or fuss. We had a set of french doors that had not been right since they were fitted five years ago. Dave came out and looked at them, saw the problems which he explained in a clear and concise way. He gave us a quote and we immediately made an appointment for him to fix the problem. Between times his colleague also came out and made a temporary repair after the wind caught one of the doors and nearly ripped it off its hinges. Agreed quote to strip down pation doors that were out of line and had to pull up to lock + front door locking mechanism and to lock close to seals to prevent winter drafts. Completed in 2 hours instead of 4 as brought second person - door now closes so simply. Very friendly & explained any questions I had re the repair. Used twice now. So much better to repair than replace.

Repaired a bedroom window which wouldn't open due to a failed locking mechanism. Arrived on time, courteous, clean and efficient and explained exactly what the problem was and how they would fix it. Our double glazed doors and windows were old and badly in need of some TLC. Cure cleaned/lubricated sash and frames on 29 windows; fixed 2 window handles; replaced 1 broken window handle and replaced rubber on rear door. Very friendly and efficient service.

My Mum required a new handle on a big sliding patio door. My husband arranged for the company to visit to complete the work explaining that Mum was elderly and was getting anxious about it. They were able to source the handle immediately and kept us informed of when they would be visiting Mum. They arrived on time and Mum was really impressed with their courteous service. They replaced the handle efficiently and at a reasonable price. It works way better than the original. We would highly recommend this company.

We had a broken window handle, and several windows with handles that didn't close properly or easily. They replaced the broken handle and serviced all the other handles in less than an hour! It's great to now have windows that open and close without having to force the handles. Wish I had called them in earlier! No hesitation in recommending. Many thanks!

Despite my uPVC front door being very old, Cure found a set of hinges. They fitted them and realigned the door - now works perfectly! Quoting and fitting were done efficiently, when they said, and at a great price.

Cure have probably sorted out every window in my house over the years as they were installed, probably 40 years ago. They also fixed a failed lock on my front door which another trader had been unable to do. They are super reliable, know what they are doing and do a great job every time.

Problem with rubber door seals degrading, called for a quote and luckily they were in the area and could call round and quote.They arrived within five minutes, gave a reasonable quote and because they were between other jobs, they could fix my problem straight away. I've used this company twice now, having bought a house and then discovered most of the windows didn't open due to various faults that had occurred over the 20+ years since they were installed. Cure came out quickly, explained what was wrong with each one and then returned to do the work at a later date, having provided me with a quote. They were very polite and professional in their work and left no mess behind - now all windows work like new. When I later discovered another window was misting up inside I had no hesitation in calling Cure again and they changed the glass unit and matched up the leadwork pattern inside so you'd never know it'd been replaced. Dave even fixed my stiff door handle on the way out at no extra cost as it was annoying him! Very highly recommended!
