I would like to commend the work of C. W. Stanley – Surfacing and Landscape Company. The company have undertaken 2 extensive projects for us, and both were completed to the highest standards. The latest project was the resurfacing of our drive with permeable tarmac, to retile the floor of our porch, make some alterations to our garden walls and replace our drain covers. They also buried a telecommunications cable beneath the drive and up to the house. All the work was carried out with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail. This was a difficult job requiring excellent teamwork to achieve such outstanding results. There was a strong sense of pride in a job done well from all members of the team. Communication was excellent. From start to finish we were kept fully informed and were consulted and advised regarding all decisions. I was impressed by the technical expertise of the team and with their hard work. The project has improved the look of the house. All members of the team were a pleasure to work with and the project was completed efficiently and for a good price. All work was completed on schedule and disruption was kept to a minimum. The site was always left clean and tidy. We were fully informed about the tarmac and its aftercare. We were given contact details should we need further advice as well as a helpful information leaflet. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

The work we had undertaken involved the removal of a badly cracked concrete driveway and replacement by tarmac and brick edging. Very professional service, from the start of our dealings with the firm, using their website, through arranging an initial site meeting, followed by a detailed quotation and subsequent work undertaken on site. Although there was a several month wait before the work could be undertaken, due to their existing commitments (of which we were advised at the outset), the actual work was undertaken several days before the provisionally agreed date and completed within the expected timescale. It also was in accordance with the quotation provided. At all times, their staff were polite, helpful and well presented. When on site, their team were efficient, disciplined, courteous, well behaved and minimised disruption to our neighbours. Machinery and materials arrived when required and were on site for no longer than necessary. We were grateful for advice received from Charlie Stanley before, during and after the works and his willingness to answer any queries we might have had. The whole experience exceeded our expectations and we are very happy to recommend their services to any other prospective clients.

They; and in particular Colin were hugely supportive during a long period of time while we deliberated design options and prepared multiple quotes for me with several site visits. CW Stanley put in our new driveway. They were very friendly and efficient from start to finish. The completed the job very quickly, just 2 days, even though for one of those it was pouring with rain. From the first contact to the end of the job they have been faultless. Excellent communication, no big sell waffle, super helpful. They kept me fully informed at all times, the whole team worked hard and were very respectful even to a couple of neighbours who weren’t whilst the work was ongoing. A carriage drive, that accommodates 8 cars, block paved 18 months ago, and a 100 square metre patio, with raised planter, finished in porcelain slabs just completed. The whole process on both occasions, from start to finish, has been brilliant. We commissioned C W Stanley January 2021 to carry out both landscape and substantial driveway works - parking for at least six cars. I dealt with Aaron in the run-up to our works commencing. He was very helpful and always responded to my questions regarding how I'd like the works to progress in a clear and effective manner. They arrived on the day when the said they would. They kept everything clean and tidy as best as possible. They resolved an issue that arose with cabling incorrectly previously installed. They installed drainage, prepared the ground, removed trees, laid (a lot!) of tarmac and worked quickly and efficiently throughout. Aaron (and crew) are helpful, approachable, very courteous and ensures that the best outcome is achieved. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, their attention to detail is fantastic.

We had our back garden patio relaid with Indian sandstone, new fencing around rear garden, steps installed for easier access to new patio and driveway laid to complete the front of the house. The quotation included a full description of works to be undertaken, so I was confident the company knew what it was doing. My confidence was not misplaced and the team (the A-Team!) completed the job of resurfacing my patio with resin bound stone in accordance with the schedule and to a very high standard. They also kept my neighbours informed, requesting permission to park their vehicles etc, which earned them and myself high kudos. I couldn't be happier.

This is a family firm run by Colin Stanley. Right from the start I was impressed by the way they interpreted my requirements, made suggestions and priced accordingly. Unfortunately, the lockdown then intervened but Colin kept us up to date with what he was doing. Once lockdown eased we agreed on a new programme and work started on time. All the guys involved have been very courteous and polite. The standard of workmanship has been of the highest order and the job was finished on time and to budget. I very rarely write reviews, but on this occasion, I am more than happy to do so. In my view, there are four types of companies - (1) bad (2) OK (3) good (4) outstanding. This company easily fits into category (4). The work involved extensive groundwork in preparation for the laying of about 90m2 Tegula Drivesett block paviors. The work was completed on time and to the agreed budget. As soon as I met Colin Stanley I knew that his company would be awarded the contract. He was agreeable, honest, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. This firm comes highly recommended.

Colin and his guys laid over 60m2 of block paving - Colin came and agreed layout and block colour 2 days prior to commencement. On the first day Colin arrived with five guys, most his family ,and all the reduced levels, edging and sub base was laid. Next day they laid the sand and blocks. The work look great, on budget, everything was clean and tidy. What a pleasant company, extremely efficient and polite, I had them recommended to me and would certainly recommend them to anyone else.

Wow! Amazing work! The team of 6 arrived promptly at 08:30 today (Christmas Eve) and were friendly and helpful and started work straight away on our tarmac drive. They had completed the first layer in no time and the second layer went on straight after that, leaving an immaculate finish. The team was very professional, polite, organised and hard working. They laid asphalt on our driveway and front garden (large area) and ibstalled fences on either side. They discussed with us all the available options, answered all our questions and double checked the final details before the work started. They listened to all our requests and met them, always striving to provide the best service possible. They were by far the best team we employed for the landscaping work at our house.
