David recently completed a full refurbishment of our house. We are very happy with the end result. After first contacting David, he visited us, listened, proposed ideas and then produced a detailed quote with accompanying breakdowns. We waited several months for David and his team to become available - which I had no problem with - happy to wait to work with the right builder. During the work, David was both hands-on, in the detail and also highly effectively managing the project to keep everything moving. His employees and network of trades people were all professional and very easy to work with. David managed to line them all up to come in at the right time. The work, over several months, included removing/replacing many internal walls to reconfigure rooms, full rewiring, full replumbing, installation of underfloor heating throughout, new kitchens and bathrooms and full redecoration. At every stage David and his team were helpful, conscientious, hard-working and efficient. David has a great attention to the little details that raise the quality of the end-result. It's the nature of such a big piece of work that some decisions need to be made along the way and some variations arise. David clearly explained ideas/options throughout and all decisions taken produced a better end result. The financial side was very well managed - based on a detailed payment schedule with clear milestones. We are very thankful that we were able to work with David. Highly recommended.

Very professional, honest, conscientious and hard working. Works to Federation of Master Builders guidelines from quotation through to completion. Develops and follows his work and payment schedule which is clear and easy to follow. Good at solving the inevitable unforeseen problems that occur and amends the work schedule accordingly. He coordinates and liaises with suppliers, merchants and trades people to ensure the project flows smoothly to completion. He has an excellent team of trades people and the project is completed to a good standard. Would definitely recommend.

David reinstated a balcony which had suffered water damage. It was a difficult and exacting project. David did a great job and exceeded our expectations.

Our back garden has a slight slope towards the house meaning, in heavy rainfall, we have inches of water surrounding the building in addition to the fact we'd been able to do very little with the garden. Dave assessed the problem, giving us different options/solutions to choose from, backing the quotes up with detailed plans. His excellent team worked (in very inclement weather) tirelessly and after 9 days our garden was transformed with a lovely seating area/patio from the French doors and Cotswold chippings with paviour edging at either side of the patio, in addition to a well constructed drainage system meaning we should never flood again. His team were friendly and polite and tidied up after themselves every day. I highly recommend using this company.

We were very please with the way David approached this project right from the start. His quote was clear, detailed and he took his time to talk us through the different stages. Although we had a few unexpected problems along the way the work was completed with in the excepted time frame and all of the workman were thoughtful, considerate and worked to a high standard. We are extremely pleased with the end result.

Looking for a builder to repair a leaking roof to my conservatory I looked to Which for some guidance. I contacted David for urgent assistance as the effect of the leak was drastic on the inside wall and furniture. He responded to my urgent appeal and arrived at the promised hour. The roof was surveyed and established the problem but the solution was bigger than first estimated and he returned the following day with a helper and the necessary equipment to repair the roof. I am very pleased with the end result and the attention to detail of the work which was done with consideration for the property and clean and tidy in a professional manner. I would not hesitate to employ his service again if needed.

We had an excellent experience with Dave Bonnick and his team. We had a single storey extension on the back of our house. Dave sat with us and discussed every step and helped with research for a new kitchen, bi-fold doors and a sky pod. He was thorough and responsive. He is very experienced and did a great job of really listening to what we wanted and made an overwhelming process stress-free. His team are polite and very tidy. We contracted David to carry out a significant rebuild/refurbishment of our home, including a loft conversion, single story ground floor extension, reconfiguring of internal walls, refit of bathrooms, and redecoration throughout. David's initial quote was detailed and accurate and he was extremely thorough and professional from our first meeting with him through to completion of the work. He managed the project very efficiently and communicated effectively with us at all times. All the work was carried out to a high standard and quality. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others and would certainly use him for any future building work.

We contracted David to vault the ceiling in our kitchen, fit three large velux windows, strip out our kitchen and utility room, replace our subfloor and refit our kitchen and utility room. David also vaulted the ceiling in our hallway and fitted a velux window and a light tube. From the start David was highly professional. This was especially evident when unforeseen problems arose; David always came up with costed options for solutions in a timely manner. David is a highly organised project manager including interacting with the external company supplying our kitchen. On completion of the work it is obvious that the standard of workmanship is of an exceptionally high standard completed on time and in budget. We contracted Dave Bonnick to build a two-storey side and rear extension to our Edwardian property in Maidenhead and the existing structure also needed extensive modernisation. From the first meeting with Dave we knew he was going to be professional, skilled and a pleasure to work with. There were a number of compilations early on with the project which we couldn't have foreseen, but Dave managed to overcome each and every one with cost-effective solutions. The quality of the work carried out was exceptional and he helped us to keep to our budget with inventive ways of cutting costs which didn't compromise the final finish. I would recommend Dave Bonnick and his team without hesitation, and he will certainly be the first person we call when we need building work done in the future.

Third time of using Dave on building projects, the latest being a first storey extension with major internal refurbishment. Throughout, Dave and his team carried out the work professionally and considerately, whilst leaving the place tidy and secure each day. Always helpful and understanding of our requirements we would never consider using anyone else and would highly recommend his work.

David was recommended to me by a friend who had used him for several building projects. His quote was very detailed and highly professional, far more so than the other builders who quoted. Pricing was more or less in line with the other quotes I received. The work was a fairly large extension involved a side garage with bedroom over and a shower room & study at the rear. The roof structure was quite complex but didn't present any problems. Being an older property there were a number of issues uncovered along the way, all of which were dealt with without drama and at a fair price. The quality of the finished project is of a very high standard and I've lost count of the number of compliments from the neighbors - looks like its always been there which is important as the property is in a conservation area. I wouldn't hesitate to use David again or recommend him to others.

We had a front porch extension, along with a single story rear extension and bathroom refurb. With a reasonable size job one of my biggest concerns (apart from good tradesmen) was having decent people in our house for that amount of time - Dave and team are fantastic. All of his team were a pleasure to have around, and they progressed through the job at the planned pace. Dave's estimate, pricing and project management was second to none - he always seemed to have materials, and sub-contractors arriving at the right time and as planned. I was very happy with the quality of the work, along with his responsiveness to questions, and openness to amendments as we went through the build. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dave and team - and will certainly use them again in the future.

Dave is an excellent builder, conscientious and hard working. We had a full bathroom refurb, his team of plumbers, tilers, electricians and plasterers, as well as Dave himself all worked long, hard hours and have produced exactly the result we wanted, and bang on time, even when we added a few extra jobs along the way! This is the fourth job we have employed Dave to do for us, and I wouldn't use anyone else.

We were 100% happy with the work which Dave did for us. It was a major building job which he project-managed very efficiently. He provided a team of plumbers, electricians, bricklayers etc, all of whom did an excellent job. This saved us a lot of extra work as we didn't need to waste time searching for suitable tradesmen. Dave was able to advise upon any unforeseen problems and suggest ways of overcoming them whilst staying within our budget. We would highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

Dave remodelled my house extensively some 11 years ago. He and his team carried that work with great professionalism and because the quality of that work was so good people think we have only recently extended the house. It was therefore a very easy decision to ask Dave to build a further extension on the house and it was carried out by him and his team to a very high standard with lots of help and advice and without any problems.

Dave was recommended to me by my uncle who was a carpenter for 40 years. We have now used him three times: for a large hard landscaping project; a loft conversion (inc bathroom); and most recently in 2014 for a kitchen conversion/new porch/garage conversion/new utility/new study. Dave is easy to get on with and keeps you involved at all stages. He will suggest better ways of doing things and sort anything that isn't as you expected. We would happily use Dave again and recommend him to others.

Dave responded to my request for a child's bedroom and study to be converted into a bedroom/dressing room to a high standard. I wanted a room that was grown up and perfect! He consulted with me every step of the way and did everything I asked for, including getting rid of walls, doors etc and finishing the works to a high standard, leaving it so easy to decorate and carpet as we desired. Dave provided us with a fully inclusive quote for our new kitchen - he provided all of the workmen and project managed it to ensure that the right people attended on the right days at the right time and did the right thing and was completely reliable. We would have struggled without his help and would highly recommend that if nothing else you use him for his project management skills. He always went the extra mile to help finish the job and was great value for money. He is also an excellent carpenter and has since helped replace interior doors, architraves and skirting boards. We will be using Dave for all of our future building work as do not see the need to go anywhere else!

We became aware of Dave Bonnick through personal recommendations and reputation. He did extensive work on our previous house in 2005 (double story extension of bedroom and en-suite, attic room, 2 bathroom refurbs, kitchen refurb and minor repairs) Due to his high standard of work and reasonable pricing we did not even bother looking for anyone else when we needed work on our new home this year (extension, garage to bedroom/bathroom conversion and general repairs) Dave's work is top class and he and his team of long-standing contractors are extremely conscientious. Both our houses needed extra work due to existing faults and previous 'diy' work and Dave's input to solving these problems in an efficient and cost effective manner is always appreciated. In all cases work and costs are well explained and costed up front and through the entire project. The only builder we would use now.
