My son's car broke down yesterday and we had it towed straight to DJ Garage Services. Even though they were extremely busy, they accpetd the car. Chris looked at it very quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it asap - it's back on the road already. We've been using this company for 24 years for a reason - Chris and his team are really knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy.

I just got back from picking up my ageing Volvo from D J Garage Services at Great Amwell. The rear near-side brake calliper had seized up and was working its way through the disc. My usual garage was unavailable so I took the recommendations given by my daughter’s partner and Kwikfit and booked in with D J. I am so glad I did. They have been excellent in every respect and, all things considered, very good value. D J checked all the brakes and recommended that both rear brakes be seen to. I was happy to take this advice. The Volvo is a big heavy car and I want to know I can rely on it, especially when it comes to stopping! They found the parts and did the job within the day but I had to wait til this morning to get over to them, an easy enough trip given how close they are to St Margaret’s Station. It is always difficult when you have been with a garage 20 plus years and suddenly find yourself needing to find somewhere else you can trust but I would have no hesitation in recommending D J to anyone. They are courteous, professional and get the job done for a reasonable price. And it’s not often that, as a 73-year-old, you get addressed as a “Young man” by someone half your age! I have always used a main dealer before but I never will again! DJ’s are a lovely friendly local company with great expertise and knowledge of different types of cars. My service was also half the price the main dealer was going to charge!

I took my car to DJs for a service and MoT. We have used DJs for many years. They are always reliable, honest, courteous and good value for money. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Mini Cooper in urgent need of repair and service required. Investigation as to the fault was carried out. Work completed within 24 hours and one very satisfied customer. I was initially met by Chris and told him of the problem. I was kept informed throughout of the progress and was pleased to receive the phone call informing me that the car was ready for collection. A very satisfied customer.

I have been using DJs for over 8 years and trust them to such a degree I am about to move an hour's drive away and will still return to them for MOTs and servicing. They never suggest doing something unless it is needed and indeed, when I was told by a main dealer garage that my 3 year old car needed £2k of "urgent" work done to it, DJs reassured me that it did not. They have always given me accurate quotes when work has needed to be done, and it was always completed on time. Their customer service is always brilliant and they will go the extra mile to help out if they are able to. I would not trust anywhere else. Today they re-gassed my aircon, and checked to make sure it wasn't the compressor unit (it wasn't). The work was completed in under an hour and I received a prompt call to say my car was ready.

Took my car in for Cam belt fitting advice. I would not take my vehicle elsewhere. The reputation within the village of this garage is outstanding. This is because Chris and his team genuinely offer customer-focused advice as opposed to promoting or encouraging costly repairs to benefit their own agenda as a business. Unfortunately, I have since moved from the village however will make the journey back to Chris and his team should my car need work.

DJ carried out diagnostic work on my car and did not charge me a penny which is fantastic in this day and age. They were extremely helpful and I was very grateful for this. I thoroughly recommend the garage.

My car had its annual service today. As usual, I received great helpful service. I have used DJ Garage Services for several years now and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Love Chris and the team. Always friendly (and the dogs are lovely). They always remember us and are so accommodating. We take both our cars for MOTs and repairs there. They keep us fully informed and explain everything (without it being too technical). Couldn't recommend them enough!

I used this local garage for the first time today having sought a more convenient service to my home. First impressions were very positive - friendly and welcoming with full explanation of what could be done. I collected the car and was equally impressed with full explanation of what had been done. Very nice customer focus and I have no hesitation in using the garage again. I think I have found a little gem.

I was recommended to this garage by a local tyre fitter this week. I couldn’t be happier. I feel I now have a ‘go to’ garage I can trust. On this occasion, I needed an air conditioning re-gas. Chris explained they would complete the full cycle of removal of old gas, drying out the system and then refilling, rather than just topping up like a lot of places do. I took the car in at lunchtime and my son followed me down to take me home. I mentioned to Chris that he was travelling back to Uni in Nottingham in the morning and that would he kindly be able to get someone to check his tyre pressures. Not only did the gentleman do this, he then popped the bonnet and checked all the engine levels too. A garage that is friendly, trustworthy and that goes above and beyond. I will be using them for all future issues for myself and my son!

I was recommended DJ Garage Services by friends in Stanstead Abbotts. I was welcomed courteously by members of staff and shown the office. I explained the problems with my car boot catch and back windscreen wiper. I received an update telephone call to tell me they had found the fault in the wiring to the back wiper and had ordered the boot catch which would be in that day. By 4pm, I had another call to say the car was ready. Such wonderful service and so nice to have a trustworthy car garage in my village. Thank you DJ's.

Car was slowly losing water. Problem was diagnosed. Parts (gaskets) were ordered and the work was done three days later.

Last year I had trouble with one of my tyres loosing air pressure! I’d been to two previous garages that advised me to just pump it up as there wasn’t anything wrong despite the warning lights coming on in the dashboard. I was still worried and having recently moved areas I spotted D J Garage. I drove in and immediately my tyre was looked at and the steering wheel turned and the mechanic discovered there was a nail imbedded in the centre of the tyre. He immediately repaired it there and then! I was very relieved and thankful. I booked my MOT and service with them and today the work was completed, efficiently. The staff are very approachable. The booking was easy. At last I have found a garage I can trust Thank you D J Garages. Five star service.

After such a good experience using D J Garage Services for last year's MOT and major service, I had no hesitation in telephoning them last week for advice regarding a knocking sound that had developed with my car. I was booked in for a 12 noon appointment and the problem was diagnosed immediately I arrived at the garage as a broken front suspension spring. They fully explained the work that was required. Needing to keep the car, they gave me a lift home, ordered and fitted the parts that afternoon and delivered the car back to my home by 4.30pm! I was so impressed!! Many thanks to all the team for the kindness shown and for your continued friendly, efficient and excellent service!

The garage booked the appointment for MOT and service at a time mutually suitable. I found them helpful and accommodating. They listened to what I said and checked out the areas of concern. The work was carried out professionally and completed as expected.

I have used the services of DJ for many years going back to when they were located in Ware. I have always found them helpful, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. The latest invoice was for a standard service, carried out in good time and to a high standard. But it is not just the annual car service and MOT, whatever the problem the company will always make time to investigate and carry out any repair work efficiently. I have never had to consider challenging the cost of work carried out.

Good quality and good value as usual. Even fixed the interior trim back to the door without being asked.
