I've used DJs for near enough 20 years after seeing how good they are with my mum! No one else comes close for honesty, integrity or decency. Even to a layman like myself you absolutely know they're doing the best by you, keeping both parts and labour costs as low as you could ever hope for and working more quickly, efficiently and transparently than you'd ever think possible. It's a lovely family business and I'd never go anywhere else. In fact, I tried when I moved house years ago, but poor experiences at the hands of others came thick and fast, so now I just make the journey back to them every time I'm in need of help and genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough.

We first took a car to DJ Garage Services 20 years ago and have used them ever since, for MOTs, services and repairs. The top reason we keep going back is that we know we can trust them. Their customer service is impeccable, bills are consistently less than expected and the work they carry out is always of an excellent standard. Chris offers sound advice. He's extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and so are his staff. They NEVER look for unnecessary work. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this garage.

I can't recommend these guys enough. After a horrendous experience a year ago with an AA approved/partnered garage, I was watching reviews closely to find a reliable local service. DJ's certainly lived up to their reputation. My car went in for its MOT and yr 5 services today and was ready in a few hours with everything done. Last year I was told my car was undrivable unless I paid over £1K of charges (later disproved by an independent assessor). This year I got a very efficient and professional service and nobody tried to take the car hostage. The service was easy, friendly and professional and at a very fair price. I would recommend these guys to everyone, especially female motorists who have experienced poor or judgemental service in the past.

Very pleased to have found D J Garage Services following a recommendation from a neighbour. When booking my car in for a Full Service, MOT and Air Con Check, it was good to be able to discuss the service requirements with someone so knowledgeable. The collection/return service from my home address worked extremely well and a progress call was made by the garage during the day. All work was carried out within the estimated cost and advice given on work that may be needed in the future. Many thanks to the whole team for an excellent, friendly, efficient and informative service!

They have gone the extra mile this time and fixed a problem with my wife's car which was serviced on the IOW during our holiday! Excellent. First time at the garage, which was recommended by neighbours. I took my car in this morning without a booking enquiring about a minor repair in the hope it would be fixed today. I was greeted by friendly faces & a polite team, who I had never met before. They offered to squeeze my car in between other bookings, which was very accommodating. I took a nice stroll into Stansted Abbott’s and by the time I returned with my shopping, my car was on the ramp being repaired. During that time I got to meet Darcy the garage dog who is the friendliest and cutest dog I've ever met. She’s part of the team and another positive to my experience at the garage today. The team are incredibly friendly, efficient and there is a lovely community vibe. From this experience I would be happy to return for further MOT’s & repairs in the future.

Used this garage first time for my car service, however they helped my son so much over the phone with their expertise without anything in return. The owners, their employees are all so kind, reliable, honest and above anything they are extremely trustworthy. I will recommend these people to anyone without any hesitation and they will be my future garage for our cars. Thank you.

DJ's carried out a full annual service and MOT today. My car was delivered at 7.30 am and I received a call before 11.00 to advise me it was ready for collection. I have used this firm for nearly twenty years, at their previous location and now in Stanstead Abbotts. It's a family-run business and they are as friendly and genuine as they are efficient.

Honest, trustworthy, friendly, and always go over and above to fit you in even though they are popular. We have been visiting this garage for MOTs, services, and any fixes for our car for years now. The customer service is outstanding and they are so knowledgeable and reliable. Highly recommended.

We've been taking our cars to DJ Garage services for 20 years, for MOT's, services and mechanical work and have always received the most helpful, polite, honest, and excellent service every time (whatever the age of our vehicles!) Our ageing Volvo recently needed a new throttle body and despite the part no longer being made, Chris managed to locate a replacement and fit it, all within his quote despite the (extra) hours it must have taken to find one. He is a man of his word! This garage always goes beyond the call of duty, and have never let us down. Their customer care, respect, ongoing communication and integrity can be relied upon. My car was making a terrible grinding noise every time I pressed on the brakes so I stopped at DJ garage after dropping the kids at school. I was told that they were really busy today but could fit me in tomorrow. I think he could see the look of desperation on my face as well as telling me that it was very dangerous to continue driving so managed to get the work all done and dusted before school pick up. Great service and reasonably priced. Lovely staff!! I highly recommend and will definitely be using them again.

Highly Recommend this Garage, Dropped my car off on Late Wednesday with a Failed Injector, Sorted the following day even though they were very busy. Great price and great people, 5 stars from me! Couldn't Fault them!

Took my old “Classic” in for some tyres, mot and service. The whole experience was excellent. From the start it was nice to talk to someone who understood my questions, rather than a generic call handler. All of the work was done to a high standard and the advice given was much appreciated and saved me from unnecessarily replacing parts that just needed some good old fashioned maintenance. They replaced some suspension components and serviced the braking system plus I had new tyres recommended and and fitted, which has transformed the ride from concrete to magic carpet (for a 35 year old car). All for a very reasonable bill at the end. 10/10 for everything - thanks

This is the second time of using DJ Garage Services and once again I was really impressed with the customer service, speed of repair and overall professionalism. It is always good to be able to deal directly with the hands-on proprietor rather than a receptionist at the main dealer. Chris kept me in touch with the progress of the work throughout the entire process with clear explanations plus the added benefit of being able to talk directly to the mechanic and being shown the problem. You can trust the advice you are being given. Their work is top quality. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending D J Garage Services. An excellent job done in a professional manner.

We have used DJ Garages for over 25 years for the annual servicing of our cars, MOTs and any other work needed. Our most recent visit was with a problem relating to work required following a fuel contamination issue. Chris set out clearly the options available to allow us to reach an informed decision on the best way forward. Once agreed, the work was carried out promptly, to our complete satisfaction. Significant service for my MX-5 at 10 years, plus MOT. Good value, very convenient. Always give useful feedback on what was found, what may need attention at the next service or needs doing sooner. When I think back to how much I used to pay the main dealers for so little, and how little they knew about the cars, I am much happier to trust my car(s) to Chris.

Having previously used DJ's for all servicing of my vehicle, and always been very satisfied with the outcome, following the purchase of a new vehicle I was suckered into buying a 2-year service plan from the dealer. This experience allowed me to really appreciate what differentiates DJ's in particular from the main dealers. When dealing with the team at DJ's I have repeatedly been impressed by their honest, trustworthy and efficient service that is delivered in a very friendly manner. Following recent damage to my vehicle that required a replacement part, further to an onsite inspection, I was contacted within a short space of time with an estimate that included the industry guidelines in terms of the four man hours required. Having agreed to the work, on collecting the vehicle I was advised that the work had been completed in just 2.5 hours, with the corresponding positive impact on the final invoice. I would recommend DJ's without hesitation to anyone for their vehicle servicing needs.

I have used Chris and his team over the years and have never had a bad thing to say about their work. So today, I had my car serviced with them, easy to book and done in a timely manner. Reasonable priced and helpful feedback on the car. Always pleasant and polite, Thanks again.

I was recommended to Chris and his team by a long term customer who has dealt with the team for many years. As I am out of the local area it was really important that I felt I could trust them. They gave me advice over the phone and suggested various courses of action that did not make them any money. I had a deadline for my cars work to be done and decided to take it to them. Just 24 hours after leaving the car with them they had been able to sort out the issue and at a lower cost than anticipated. I asked them to do some servicing work and they were able to keep the car a few more days to do this. When I came to pickup my A8 I was very surprised at how great and honest my final bill was. Other garages in the past have managed to inflate the bill or add extra work without consulting me. Chris was always there to take my call, answer my questions and finally give me a bill which was 100% sensible. I have now left my wife's car with them and am sure I will receive the same kind and thoughtful service and sensible bill again when the work is done. I cannot recommend highly enough this garage, if you can get to them you will not regret it. After all of the poor experiences I have had in the last 30+ years of motoring D J Garage is a wonderful breath of fresh air which I wish all car owners could have.

In the last 50 years, I have used many garages but this one is up with the best. Doesn't matter which make of car, new or old they have always given me good service. Over the last 20years just once was there a small problem. One phone call and without hesitation they came and collected the car and returned it to the door all sorted. It's a family run business rather than one of these big shiny outfits that I often found would squeeze whatever money they could from you via those little extras. The big outfits send you a video of the underside of the car after every MOT which really does nothing at all for the customer as they try to look flashy. So forgo the video and expect a job well done at a fair price

The nearest Citroen garage carried out a brake system software update on our DS3 in response to a safety recall. The car developed an engine problem causing it to judder and loose power. Called into our local D J Garage to see if they could help. They were friendly and helpful as always and tried hard to identify the problem. However, the software in the car had been corrupted and D J Garage were unable to access the system to resolve the problem but were able to advise us on how to deal with it. D J Garage declined to charge us for their work. Following D J Garage's advice, we were able to get the car back to the Citroen garage where they managed to establish via remote access by the Citroen technical people that the update had corrupted the fuel management software and then to remotely to replace the software. We thoroughly recommend D J Garage for the knowledge, quality of work, and helpfulness. Were are lucky to have such an outfit in our locality.
