The D&P team worked very hard on the job. They always kept us informed on the various aspects of the job and how it was progressing. They were very professional. We had a TV aerial issue given the whole roof was replaced but this was resolved very quickly indeed. They stand out as being friendly, very professional, and A1 delivery. They do what they say on time (adjusting for the winter weather), and always inform you of any minor issues that are then resolved. They also cleared-up after themselves to our satisfaction. Very pleased with the finished roof. Yet again I have no hesitation in recommending Dale, Paul and the wider team. Outstanding.

D & P Roofing recently replaced my 86 year old roof with new concrete tiles, replaced the almost non existent loft insulation, repointed the chimney breast and much more. From their speedy and responsive admin team, to their polite and efficient operatives and engineers, I would have no hesitation in recommending D&P Roofing and Building Ltd. I particularly appreciated how generous they were with their time (both on the administrative side, as well as the delivery), executing the work at a measured and steady pace that gave confidence that the result would be something to be proud of. They kept me informed throughout the process on key timings and appraised me of delays due to the weather. I took it for granted at the time, but looking back I really appreciate how when they said something would happen on a particular day that it happened. Several times during the work they went above and beyond my expectations, the first when they came out ahead of the planned work to secure some gaps in the current soffits and the second once the scaffolding went up and interfered with the Sky dish, they quickly got it moved and re-aligned same day. D&P were able to offer a better timescales than other companies and managed to get a new roof done before the worst of the winter. They kept me updated frequently with the progress of the job, which was very helpful. The new roof is doing very well with the rain so far this year and has improved the damp inside the structure significantly. They also redid the roof of the bay window of the property, which has cleared the damp in the room below. Again this was communicated well and seems to be doing well in this year's weather.

Had to wait a little while for weather and other jobs, but it was worth the wait. Work done over a few days but the garage was kept watertight throughout. Worked hard when they were able to get the fine weather and fitted the work into their busy schedule working late to complete the task in hand. Pleased with the result and can recommend this hard working team and their ability to keep me informed of what was going on and produce a high standard piece of work.

Called D&P Roofing after seeing a leak in our new extension ceiling. They came round quickly and diagnosed the problem - sadly meaning a new roof due to extensive damage to tiles by the window cleaner. They sent over a quote the same day and they came round the next day and put up scaffolding quickly and neatly. A skip was delivered for waste. They turned up the next day bright and early (on a Sunday) and by the end of the day the roof was finished and looking great! They left the site nice and clean too. They removed the scaffolding on Monday, made good some plaster damage inside with the tile screws - job done in a fast, proficient and professional way! Honestly, couldn't fault the job at all. Would highly recommend.

Can't recommend highly enough. This was a full re roof. First of all the quotes were detailed and accurate. Anything not understood was explained and made clear. The proposed work did change along the way and again this all was fully explained so we understood what was happening at every stage. All of the tradesmen involved were polite and courteous as well as hardworking. Any issues or concerns were addressed swiftly by Chrissy in the office whilst on site Mark went over and above to keep us informed throughout. There was never a time where we were left unsure as to what was happening. (An issue which can often be the source of complaints.) The work was completed to a high standard right through to the cleaning at the end. All for what we considered to be very good value for money. It is clear that D & P genuinely care about their customers which is demonstrated in their top class service.

We had roof completely re-slated, chimneys repointed, new ridge tiles and new gutters plus other work. Excellent job done throughout from start to finish. Always kept well informed what was going on, eg - when scaffolding going up, roof being stripped, re felted and battened then when slating being started. At times If the weather was too bad for working, we were informed work would (and did) continue when weather cleared. All credit to all the workmen who worked hard throughout the job, in this extremely cold and wet weather we are having. All rest of works needed, were done with the same degree of communication. Last job of downspout to gutters completed today Saturday morning (Christmas Eve). A big thank you to Dale and team also office staff for organising the whole job and keeping us well informed throughout. Big thank you also to all the workmen involved in the job too. Every one of them being very pleasant, friendly and very hardworking every day they were working on this re-roof. I had to have my roof fixed after a previous roofer failed to fix it properly and refused to come back. I had to wait for a few months, but I have realised that the best tradespeople are in high demand. I was kept up to date with the timing of the works and updated as things went along. In the end I had to have the whole roof done, but I was provided with updates and information to allow me to decide what was the best action to take. I am very happy with the completed works and would use D&P again at the drop of a hat.

We required several building jobs to be carried out on our property. New roof with guttering etc., re-rendering, replacement of lintel above front bedroom window and re-plastering of front bedroom. The team at D&P kept me informed throughout the process. Although I had some minor leaks I was in no hurry for the work to be completed so was happy to wait for them to get round to me. The quote was reasonable obviously with the caveat that they had based this on a set number of slates to replace. Unfortunately due to previous repairs and the thinness of the slates they ended up using more but the overall cost wasn't much more than quoted. Paul from D&P kept me updated with the progress of the work once they started and I am happy with the finished work. They left no mess and the roof and chimney pot s look good. I would be happy to use them again.

D&P Roofing did an absolutely brilliant job for us. Workers were on time, professional and friendly and any queries we had were answered very helpfully and quickly. They talked us through everything in person, broke down the quote and were totally clear about the pricing. They cleared everything away when the work was finished and the roof itself looks fantastic and will last decades. I think they had to do an emergency fix midway through our job (they do roofing for hospitals etc.) - that was absolutely fine with us, but they had to leave a couple of materials on a small patch of lawn in the garden - because it was there for a few days the lawn dried out, and they replaced the small bit of lawn themselves. Couldn't be happier with the service and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for work done on their roof. Really friendly and professional team and very high quality work.

We just needed some moss taking off a small flat roof and a single piece of guttering replaced along just one side of the house. A standard 3 bedroom semi detached house, nothing huge. They quoted us almost £700 and then tried to say that was just for the guttering when the quote says it was for everything. The explanation that they charge this because they are a company and have many staff etc was insulting. I've ran my own company before and unless that £700 is paying for someone else's housework that doesn't make sense. If you didn't want the job don't just price yourself out of the job and patronise the customer.

It’s so difficult to find tradesmen that you can trust to deliver a decent standard these days. D & P delivered to an exceptionally high standard. We had a full re-roof along with other works. From start to finish I felt like we were dealing with not only professionals but people that cared. A company that understands that you have a busy schedule to fit the work in and around. A company that appreciates that amount of money is a big investment for the majority of customers. A company that takes an incredible amount of pride in their work, who wants their customers to be happy. From start to finish I felt like we were in safe hands. Yes, the British climate isn’t the best, (especially in autumn/winter) but I was always kept informed of any potential delays, (of which there were very few) every step of the way. On top of that, they always worked around my needs to ensure I was happy with every aspect of the work. I have zero hesitation in recommending D & P Roofing and Building and I hope that for any future works we might require, they will be able to fit us in as they are very much in demand, (for obvious reasons). Very disappointing experience. Took a month to not finish a chimney repair. When challenged about not doing the work as promised on the quote and informed we were asking for a second opinion they became very upset. Their final act was to rip lead off the front of the chimney and leave it exposed to rain. Their TV aerial engineer joined a cable leaving the TV not working properly which had to be repaired. (photo evidence available) Not a good way to treat a 70 year old widow.

D & P gave us a quotation by email, which had all the contact details of the company on it as well as the price and work schedule. We are extremely pleased to say, that the company completed the work within the budget they had set to a very high standard. Before they started any work they made an appointment to set up the scaffolding which arrived on time and was put up very quickly. Then the foreman on the job took measurements of the existing roof so they could have a new one made. Once the roof was ready they informed us of the date for the work to be carried out. D & P arrived at our house at 8am in the morning and worked until 7.30pm to complete all the specified work. The guys working on the house were working with the same foreman who took all the measurements and who we had got to know. They were all very polite and respectful of us and our neighbours . D & P even sent a window cleaner round to wash the sealant etc off our bedroom window and also cleaned the ground floor windows as well. I would have no hesitation in recommending D & P Roofing and Building Ltd to anyone. Thanks guys great job well done.

Great service from estimate visit to completion. The estimate was very reasonable. The crew were hardworking and completed the job (replacement of ridge tiles and placing verge end caps on three gable ends) well on time despite all the problems around the COVID pandemic. They were mindful of damaging anything around our property even reminding us to shut our garage door to prevent any risk of damage to our car. The crew were always polite and worked with minimum fuss. The finished job looks great and shows attention to detail. And the follow up phone call was a nice finishing touch. I have used D&P Roofing twice in the past 18 months. The first was to completely re-roof our house. They provided a very competitive price and did not try and pressure me to use them. They gave me a date when they could start and they arrived within a few days of the estimated time. The slight delay was not their fault we had had some very bad weather. They worked hard and did an excellent job completing the work to time and price. All the team were very polite and left the site clean with all rubbish removed. There were a couple of complications which they dealt with at no extra cost to me; they also took the opportunity to add some additional insulation to the eaves which were easy with the roof removed, again this was done at no extra cost. In summary, they are reliable and do a good job; I would definitely use them again.

We had an internal wall built (including internal windows), an external window replaced, some electrical work and extensive plastering carried out. All works were carried out within the original quote (no nasty hidden extras!). The work was done to a good standard and we were particularly impressed with some of the little touches like getting new skirting board cut to be identical to the original, very fancy, Edwardian skirting board. We found them to be friendly, honest people who we could trust with full access when we were out at work. They cleaned-up after themselves, kept us updated with work plans and time-lines and were easy to contact by phone or email whenever we had a question. Would definitely recommend.

Second time we've used D&P after they did a full roof replacement for us last year. This time we called them when we had water coming in through our bedroom ceiling (nothing to do with the re-roof!). Dale took the call even though it was the weekend and Paul visited the following Monday and identified the issue was the gutters. Gave us a great price for replacement and arranged the scaffolding. Work was completed to a very high standard and even though the job ended up being more complicated than first thought, D&P honoured the original price. Friendly and helpful throughout, these guys are brilliant to deal with, I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Paul and Dale successfully quoted to build me a new hobby room in my loft for my model railway. The excellent reviews they had on Which Trusted Traders gave me confidence in booking them for the job and I wasn't disappointed with their excellent work. Firstly, they started the job promptly and worked continuously until all the work was finished. Secondly, Paul and his assistant Mark worked so hard throughout the week and seamlessly slotted in the plastering and electrical work around the necessary roof alterations to fit two new Velux windows into my loft area. The result of all of their superb efforts is wonderful new, light bright and warm hobby room fitted to a very high standard ready for me to build my new railway layout. What also impressed us is how Paul minimised any mess by taking all the old materials and installing the new ones via the roof vents to keep our house nice and tidy - a really thoughtful touch. Communication before and during the job was superb and any minor alterations to my original plan were taken on board with any issues. A very professional team who did a great job for me and for which I am very grateful.

I contacted Dale and his team after another roofing company had messed up my roof and I had water coming into my property. From coming round to look at the issues to completing the job I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Dale kept in constant contact with me throughout and even when the job was completed they left the scaffolding up my request until the next time it rained to ensure the issues were fixed. There was a small amount of water still finding its way into the property but the team came straight back out and rectified this issue immediately. I am extremely happy with the work they completed and the customer service was second to none. I will definitely be using D&P Roofing and Building LTD for any works in the future. Dale, Paul, and their team have just completed a full re-roof on my house, including fascias, soffits, and guttering. My wife and I are both absolutely thrilled with the results. Would definitely recommend Dale, Paul and their team. I approached Dale a couple of months ago for my gutters, fascias and soffits to be replaced. He said that they were really busy but I was willing to wait. He kept in regular contact, gave me a quote for the job and a date to start. He kept me informed both prior and during the job and also after it was completed to remove the scaffolding. He arranged for my sky dish to be moved as the scaffolding blocked it, put me in touch with a decorator to give my rendering a lick of paint, I was going to do this anyway once the job was finished but it made sense whilst the scaffolding was up. On the days they couldn’t turn up because of the weather, either Dale or Paul would let me know and tell me when they were able to carry on. They were always tidy, sweeping up before they left each night. All the boys were really friendly and polite, although professional in the job they were doing. They worked hard, never stopped all day and this shows in the quality of the job. Dale arranged for the sky dish to be put back within a couple of hours of the scaffolding coming down. The little things like good communication, sorting out little problems for you is as important as the actual job itself. I would 100% recommend these guys for any work needed. I will never use anybody else. I used to pull up to my house and cringe, not anymore, my home looks amazing thanks to D & P

I decided to have my roof redone and one of the firm's I had seen locally was d&p roofing after a quick search I found a site with glowing reviews about them so made the call. Dale and Paul came out to give me a estimate for the work and to discuss all aspects of the work to be done, I thought the price would be a bit on the steep side for a complete re roof but the price was very reasonable so much so that I decided to have my back kitchen roof replaced as well and also the decorative roof over my front downstairs window ( this measures 16 ft ). The job was to be done whilst I was away on a 2 week vacation so this meant that the job would be finished by the time I came back. As well as the roofing work Dale and the boys also dropped my chimney by half and installed new gutters and drain pipes and fascia boards front and back and also painted the panels at the front of the house. The job was carried out in a completely professional manner by a professional company and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good, honest and reliable company to carry out any roofing or building works

After 10 years of on & off leaking of our tiled pitched roof on our extension with a number of other roofing companies all trying and failing to fix it we found Dale & Paul. They quickly identified the problem of the wrong tiles being fitted for the very shallow pitch of the roof and quoted to replace the roof with a modern (no mortar) roof as the only solution which would work. Communication throughout from first contact to completion of the job was excellent. They turned up when they had agreed too, or where a change was needed they contacted us in plenty of time to agree the change with us so we were not inconvenienced (Bad weather delayed the start slightly). All the team were very polite and considerate and worked hard to deliver a quick and high quality job. The new roof looks excellent, quality of construction is first class, and we have had no leaks despite some very hard rain. Given the great job the team have done I don't expect any leaks will happen in future, but if it should we also have their 10 year Company guarantee. During the Job & after the job was finished Dale made a point checking with us that we were completely happy with everything. We will definitely use them again for some building work we want later in the year & I have no hesitation in recommending them without reservation - Excellent & outstanding service which is refreshing to find in this day & age - Many thanks Dale, Paul & the Team for a Great Job

Unquestionably the best trades company I have come across. Dale and Paul gave me very good service throughout from the initial consultation, pricing (which I thought was excellent value), booking in, works and follow up. The quality of the work was excellent, they tidied up each day and happily accommodated anything we asked them to. They arrived each day when they said they would and even stayed late one night to make sure the roof was weather tight before the beast from the east arrived. Dealing with Dale and the team was always very reassuring, and there was no suggestion of a different price for cash, which immediately gave me a lot of confidence in them as a business. After many hours wasted by 'roofers' letting me down, I was at the end of my tether when I came across D & P Roofing and Building. From the moment Dale and his colleague arrived to assess my roof, to the after-care follow-up messages, I was impressed with their customer care throughout (I didn't use 'customer service' as it felt a lot more personal than that). I knew substantial work needed doing to my 100+ year terrace roof, but other builders were quoting me for patch-up work; not what I wanted. Dale spent a good half hour to 45 mins at my house discussing all the options available, providing me with a clear and highly competitive quote for the work. Dale's team spent 4 days at my house. I was out at work part of this time and they kept me updated with photos and calls throughout. Work carried out to my property included the re-roofing of the main roof and the lower canopy roof of the house; the removal and replacement of existing fascia soffit and gutters to white fascia and soffit and black gutters; all external masonry was re-pointed and finally I had 3 flat roofs re-felted too. We live in a Lodge House that was built in the late 1890's and over the last 10 years have experienced various problems with leaks through the main gulley on a complex roof design. After several failed attempts at fixing the problem with various companies, Dale/Paul recommended a full lead replacement of the gulley. We were obviously nervous about the work and the cost, but Paul/Troy did a magnificent job and talked us through each stage of the operation. Since the completion of the job, we have been tested with torrential rain and so far, no leaks!! I am probably a tradesman's nightmare working as a surveyor in construction but every detail of work carried out by these lads was faultless - the pride they take in there work is un-rivalled - even to the point that the local building inspector (known for being particularly awkward) signed off the works in minutes and commented on the high standard of the work. In my 15 years in construction on major building sites and various experiences of renovating houses I must say I have never come across such a professional well organised builder. All work was completed in line with a very tight programme and despite Dale finding various issues with the existing roof (which he photographed to show us) he didn't charge us extra and also carried extra work in the tight programme. After some bad weather which didn't help them they worked all easter weekend to finish the works - even buying our children an Easter egg - which was a really nice unexpected touch. As an added complication one of our children has a chronic heart condition which can be made worse by dust so when we have had work done by others in the past we have to spend each night tidying up after them - but not with these lads - they hovered - mopped swept and left each night leaving the house spotless - I also entrusted them with keys to use the bathroom make tea coffee etc and they even replaced this at the end of the job! I can not recommend these guys enough and can say that after 15 years in building they are the best yet!

Dale and the team who work for him are really good roofers. They know their stuff and get on with the job in all weathers. Dale and Paul were great at working to solve a persistent leak in a low pitch roof extension. It wasn't an easy one to solve and they were willing to try a low cost option first, where other roofers just wanted to go straight to big money. The new roof was needed in the end but a tarp was put on instantly, they deducted the low cost trial from the final price and the quote was a good deal less than another trusted roofer we use. They work all hours and fitted our job in on a Saturday and Sunday to squeeze it in for us. Work has 5 year fitter's guarantee and it's very rainy this weekend and we're completely dry! Highly recommended.

You always wonder when people give 5 stars for everything, is it too good to be true? Well, we chose D&P Roofing because of the reviews on this site and I have to say they exceeded all my expectations. My mother is 86, living in an old stone cottage and we needed somebody trustworthy and reliable to replace the roof. They arrived when they said they would and did the work promptly, despite it being winter and with bouts of bad weather. We were impressed that they always kept as informed and if they thought variations to the original work were required, such as removing redundant chimneys or changes in materials, we were consulted and the pros and cons discussed before any work undertaken. Any questions or queries were dealt with promptly with phone calls being replied to often immediately. After employing numerous firms to resolve a leak issue with a chimney stack and a leaking box gutter on a conservatory, there was only D&P who spent time looking for the leaks in both areas and finally fixing them. Even though the issues weren't fixed in one visit Dale advised on the next course of action and Paul thoroughly undertook a painstaking job locating the leak on the box gutter and didn't leave our house until he was sure he had tracked and fixed the problem. We are pleased to say that after monitoring post heavy rainfall there are no further leaks. Just had a complete re-roof, gutters and installation of skylight done by this firm. I'm very pleased with the standard of work both on the interior and exterior of the property. The sky light looks lovely and the plastering is excellent. The work was completed faster than I anticipated because the team worked in appalling weather and all weekend. Very hard working lads, also considerate and polite. All works were completed for the quoted price. When they hit a snag that meant the job would cost slightly more than they had anticipated they did not ask me for more money they simply absorbed the additional cost themselves. They have even ordered me a blind for the window and insisted on paying for it even when I offered the money as I hadn't thought to ask for one when they originally quoted. They sent Receipt and Warranty promptly by email upon completion of the work. Overall I'm very pleased that I chose this firm.

I am gas and heating engineer myself so I am always really picky about anyone i get to do work for me. From the first phone call I was really impressed with the great communication. From the initial request to come and give me a quote for the work, to checking that we were completely happy with everything afterwards and everything in between Dale always picked up or returned calls straight away and replied to texts promptly. I had a chimney removed, roof slated over. a new doorway fitted through a supporting wall , ridge tiles replaced, etc. The price was really fair, better than i was expecting to be honest and after meeting Dale I was more than happy for the work to go ahead, The guys turned up early and worked long days to get the work done. All the work was done as agreed, even a few bits extra that came up along the way for the agreed price which was really appreciated. The lads were tidy and cleaned up after themselves, taking all the rubbish away at the end of the job. The work was all done to a high standard and I'm pleased with everything I had done. Over the years we have had work done in the various homes we have owned and therefore have seen a procession of various workmen and would certainly put D & P's workers as 'up there' with the very best, and would therefore have no hesitation in recommending them.

Provided a detailed quote for the work , this was kept to despite them completing several other tasks. They arrived to complete the job on the day that they stated. The job was completed , excellent job done, site cleared up afterwards. Would recommend with out any hesitation.

I can't praise D&P enough for their work. They were one of three roofing quotes I received, which was by far the best for what I wanted from my garage roof replacement. They were able to fit my job in within a fortnight of coming out to view the situation. The team worked throughout the day during a heatwave which made the work more difficult, but they never asked for nor accepted a drink or food, they came fully prepared beforehand and just got on with the task at hand, and when the weather turned meaning they couldn't complete the job fully, they came back on the next clear day and finished the work, while sticking to the original quote. They removed all the materials afterwards, and even cleaned the garage door of the cobwebs that had been turned black during the roof installation. Lads were friendly throughout. A big plus for me is communication. I've paid £3000 for laser eye surgery and never had any contact since to ask how I am or anything. D&P meanwhile were in constant contact to manage the quote, inspection, and answer any questions I had, and were able to deal with last minute requests by myself as well. As an inexperienced homeowner, hiring someone I could trust to work on my home was difficult and daunting, but I feel I made the right choice in D&P, they made it a pleasant experience. Couldn't ask for more, and my new roof not only looks fantastic, its been successfully tested by the heavy rain since.

The team from D&P Roofing & Building did a great job laying new roof and doing some brick-works. They were always easy to contact even before work started and very informative. They encountered some issues with really bad states of neighbourhood's roofs but the price stayed as agreed. I couldn't have asked for a better service at a very reasonable price.
