This the second job that DPS have done for me in a very short space of time. and I can honestly say that I was even more impressed than the first job that they did. Alex and his co worker were very pleasant and we had a good conversation. They both knew what they had to do and by lunch time they had completed the work. There was absolutely no mess left by them and they took everything away with them. Impressed is an understatement and if asked would I recommend this company 100% I would. I contacted three potential suppliers to carry out remedial work to about 4.5m2 of blistering plaster in a brick built terraced house dating from 1900-1910. The walls had previously been treated with a chemical damp proof course about 30 years previously which was injected into the bricks. All suppliers identified the failure of the original method and recommended stripping back the plaster work to bare brick at a height of 1-1.2m and injecting a cream damp proof course into the mortar from the inside. This to be followed by a polypropylene membrane system applied to a tanking layer, with two coats of plaster. We chose Damp Proofing Solutions based on cost and availability to carry out the work within two weeks of the request and the fact that they are PCA registered and offered a number of positive testimonials. We were happy with the quality of the work and the friendliness of the two installers. Obviously I am not in a position to confirm that the solution has been effective for the ten years that most suppliers warranty for this type of work.

Reviewed Damp Proofing Solutions online (as the company was local to our area) and our property had encountered a slight rising damp issue. Reviews appeared to be very good so we arranged an initial call out which they charged £90 to survey our property and advised the appropriate action they thought would remedy our issue. I found the initial contact by their surveyor to be very friendly/polite and listened to what we thought we needed and understood our concerns as the damp area had a gas/electric box installed upon the walls and we had recently had new widows installed in that area. The price he quoted for the product we were purchasing seemed reasonable and he advised us of what we were to expect on the day and that the initial call out fee would be deducted from the final payment and we would also receive a 10 year guarantee against damp in the area they would treat. The day arrived for the work to proceed and I have to say they were brilliant. Kept everything as clean as they possibly could, totally polite and understanding and the workmanship was 100% spot on. Would definitely recommend this company for their workmanship, reliability, efficiency to detail (liaising with the workmen on the actual day, have to say they were fantastic, and again listened to our worries and were extremely helpful at putting our minds at rest). Work was completed on time as advised by the initial surveyor and I couldn’t be more pleased with the end product.

Came exactly when they said they would. Did a great looking job on several areas of rising damp, and actually did a bit more than I'd paid for. All rooms were sealed off before work commenced which reduced dust considerably. Tidied up as well as you could expect. I was so impressed with the quality of work I've now contacted them about a cellar conversion. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for.

DPS were very quick to respond to my checkatrade query on surveying potential dry rot that was discovered in our living room. Luke came round to survey and was able to schedule us in relatively soon after Xmas. The oral survey was very informative and thorough. When we gave the thumbs up, the guys came as scheduled and were punctual. The work was completed within the time frame, everything was cleared away afterwards and communication was great throughout. Would recommend.

This is the second this time we have used Damp proofing solutions to treat wood in a converted barn. Simply excellent and friendly service. Easy to contact the surveyor arrived on time and was clearly a very well trained and educated person who knew his trade well. It's not the lowest price solution here but it was the one with no-pressure sale; detail given on their specific damp-proofing solution; and fully responding to all my questions before we signed up, and throughout the work. The quality of work has left me extremely happy. While time will reveal how well it holds up, Alex made sure I fully understood the warranty terms and what to avoid to maintain coverage. I rang damp proofing solutions they was extremely professional the surveyor turned up on time.... I had the unfortunate news my house had dry rot. The work for treatment was arranged there and then for the next week, the surveyor gave me loads of information which was brilliant. The guy who did the treatment turned up on time and was super professional. The work was carried out and left everything ad they found it. Fantastic service all around I can't find anything negative to say about the company at all.

Having had a nightmare with some damp work on another house, I was very anxious about dealing with this situation. I need not have worried. Adam, the surveyor was very professional, tested the wall carefully and explained the process fully. He was also available quickly when I had some further queries. Even so, when the day of the work came around I was still concerned about what the effects would be. However, Ben and Alex put my mind at rest immediately. I had prepared the room but they put up plastic sheeting to screen the rest of the room, then placed plastic all over the carpets. I popped in every now and then and they explained each stage to me. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the final plastering which was very smooth. Finally I imagined a nightmare of a mess to clear but there was nothing. All the rubbish was removed, the carpets hoovered and the kitchen floor washed. (They had to use the kitchen as I did not have an outside source of water). T. he outside pavement was also cleared of any debris. They explained the need to reattach the skirting board without nails. I could not have wished for two more pleasant people to have undertaken this work and can highly recommend the company from beginning to end.

The initial survey covered all aspects of the work that would be needed to solve the damp problem in my kitchen along with the cost for carrying out this work and all this was clearly written into an email I received the following day. The workmen arrived on time, were meticulous in covering the floor area where the work was to be carried out and also draped polythene covering over the work surfaces and appliances. Very impressive. The workmen were pleasant, made a lovely job of the plastering and cleared all the rubbish away, even offering to mop the kitchen floor! The whole job was completed on schedule and to the cost agreed. I called DPS when I found damp in an upstairs bedroom; I suspect it had been developing for some time, but we hadn't noticed because no-one was using that room. They attended promptly, identified the problem and not only recommended a solution for it but also preventative measures in other rooms. They initially scheduled the work for a few weeks later, but the cancellation of another job enabled them to bring it forward to that weekend. The workers attended promptly, completed the job as agreed and left only a few bits of mess for me to clear up (which is inevitable given the nature of the work). The office staff were efficient in handling the invoicing process and supplying information on aftercare.

Excellent Service. Knowledgeable, skilful, professional, speedy and friendly. Damp lounge wall interior plaster removed, proofings installed and wall replastererd to a very high standard. All attic timbers sprayed twice with appropriate materials to defeat white mould, a grim job done stoically and efficiently. Extra ventilation installed to the front of house with great care taken to observe appearance .

Adam arranged for his team to be on site first thing Monday, very prompt. Completed the internal work very efficiently, with minimal disruption and kept everything clean. They were unable to complete the external work that day due to a stock issue, but we're back first thing Wednesday morning as promised and the work was done quickly and with absolutely zero fuss. Damp Proofing Solutions were contacted by us in December 2023 as what we had thought to be problems from a water leak turned out to be one of Rising Damp, bad news! Once we had come to terms with the fact that remedial work HAD to be done we contacted DPS having found them via Google. Their surveyor Adam came out to visit and quickly and thoroughly identified the problems we had with rising damp to the walls and that of the floor. Able to give us a quote on the day we were happy to proceed. After that visit contact was maintained with Adam who as able to answer any questions/ queries we had and soon after dates were agreed for the work to proceed. Tom, Matt and Dave undertook the work over two days and were hardworking, professional, helpful and accommodating, explaining what they were doing and advising how best to go forward after the work was completed. Overall DPS were great to work with, friendly, helpful and efficient.

Used Damp Proofing Solutions to identify and fix a problem with damp in our cellar. Initial impressions are important, and right from the first phone contact they were professional and courteous. We booked an appointment for a surveyor to visit and he turned up on time and once he had looked at the issues, took time to outline a solution and answer our questions. We had had similar quotes but how the work was explained made perfect sense. Having given DPS the green light we were given a date and an estimation of the time to be taken. Each day the guys turned up promptly at 7.30am and worked most days until at least 3.30pm. They were tidy and made very little mess even when taking sackfuls of rubbish out to the van. They kept us informed of progress and made sure we knew what was happening. Work was completed on schedule with no mess to clear up. Fantastic job completed on time and on budget with an excellent team.
