Wet rot on Joist end and Wall plates, horizontal damp course on external wall. I was very impressed by the professional but friendly approach of everyone I had contact with. Robert attended initially to survey the property, his report was sent to me later the same day. Pete, Russell and Scott attended to do the work which was carried out to a high standard. We were treated respectfully by all, which has not always been the case with previous tradesman. The work was not cheap, but I wanted a company who specialised in dampwork, who could resolve the issue quickly and efficiently which they did. I would definitely recommend and hope to use again in the future.

I had a passive air ventilation unit installed some years ago which has worked well and requires servicing every 2 years or so. The original supplier no longer offered the service (but was happy to sell me a new one) so I approached DampWorks a few years ago to see if they could help, which I'm glad to say, they were. They have serviced it twice now, including the vents in various parts of the house and have done a clean and thorough job each time and at a reasonable rate. Any dealings I've had with the office has always been helpful as are their technicians.

I had ongoing problems with damp in our kitchen. Despite fixing a previous pipe leak, we still had issues with damp rising on the walls, leaving the tell-tale residue in a newly refurbished kitchen. After much research - we contacted Dampworks Ltd to undertake a survey, enabling us to deal with the problem once and for all. The team was very professional, took measurements and explained the causes of damp and all the options open to us. We received a report and were able to make an informed decision on the next course of action. We booked a technician to inject a DPC (which had been breached) and a follow up appointment for the team to install a kitchen fan to help keep the damp at bay. On all occasions the team arrived promptly and worked efficiently and were tidy. The works were carried out with minimal fuss and disruption. I felt the workmen were courteous at all times and ready to respond to any additional queries that we had. A year later, and the work still holds up - and we've not experienced any damp problems since. Highly recommended in terms of pricing, communication, time-keeping and workmanship.

We had some damp proofing done from another trader a few years ago but the damp had returned. I booked in a survey with dampworks - the surveyor was punctual, professional and thorough. They gave a detailed report of the status and required remediation. Once the quote was agreed, there was clear communication from the dampworks office to arrange a date. The actual tradesmen were always on time, they took great effort in making sure the dust was contained and kept to a minimum, and were thorough in their cleanup. Since the work was done we haven't had any issues with damp. Dampworks has always been super responsive and helpful with any questions. For example, when we wanted to get the wall painted, they discussed the different paint material options with the decorators to make sure that the damp won't return.

From the very first phone call to the completion of the works this company has been outstanding. Every appointment on time, great attention to carrying out the survey. The surveyor ensured we were very clear about what the problem was, how it would be treated and even details as to the standard of the material that would be used. Then the engineer carried out the internal & external work taking excellent care of our property. All this done at what we consider a very reasonable cost for the amount of work that needed to be done and the time required to do it. In addition the office staff were a pleasure to deal with and answered the phones directly without having to press numerous buttons to speak to someone. I cannot recommend this company and the people who work for it highly enough.

I had a damp proof course applied to most of my down stairs, due to very bad rising damp. They removed all plaster and re plastered the walls.

I found both Graham and Kimberley very helpful. Whenever I needed to contact them by phone they were helpful and friendly. The work I had done included several small damproof courses, damp treatment in the walls, airbricks replaced and timber treatment in the loft. All the work was carried out in a professional manner at a cost I felt was fair and everything left tidy when the work was completed. The young men who completed the work were patient and helpful in answering the various questions I had. I would fully recommend this company.
