This is the 4th time we have used this firm. Professional, tidy, polite and clean up after them. We will certainly use them again if needs be.

The first time we tried to use a brand new microwave oven, at 6pm, it caused the electrics to go out, leaving us in darkness and with no heating. I was unable to reset the electrics, and called a 24hr electricians to help. This first company rather let us down, twice revising the time they could attend, the last revision being two days later. We then called Datel, and their engineer arrived a hour later. He soon reset the electrics, and then checked the microwave, finding it to be faulty. He then contacted the supplier on our behalf to help us to get a refund of his fees. It took a long time to get to talk to the company, only to be passed on to another person, but he was very patient and helpful, and we were promised our refund. We will certainly use Datel if we should need help in the future.

From first contact through to completion of the job nothing was too much of a problem for the Datel Team. All of the team we came into contact with had a totally positive outlook on the job and were only too willing to discuss, adapt, modify, offer ideas and solutions to suit the final outcome. The turnaround for quotes was the best we've experienced from contractors made easier with an online approval system - very slick and very easy to use. The team were professional throughout, from the Sales team, the Office team to the Site team both in their work ethic and their appearance. They kept to budget, advised where "extras" would be incurred and maintained the schedule which was also weather dependant for the outdoor works. We would have no hesitation in recommending Datel Electrical Ltd. An excellent job, well done !

I had a faulty floodlight and a faulty bulkhead light. I sent photos of the problem lights and Datel suggested replacements and sent photos of the suggested replacements before quoting. After agreeing a price they sent an electrician within a few days and the work was done very quickly. This is the second time I have used Datel and I would use them again.

Datel carried out work to upgrade electrical storage heaters. From the first contact with them they were responsive, friendly, efficient and professional. After reviewing the heaters they were very clear about what needed to be done and why and provided a clear and comprehensive quote. They were able to carry out the work quickly - before it got too cold! The engineers who came to do the work were again friendly, efficient and professional and, importantly, worked in a covid-secure manner. Everything was left clean and tidy and they notified us quickly of a bit of follow-up work to be done and the date they could do it. I would certainly use Datel again and highly recommend them.

We had considerable electrical work by Datel late last year and found the company very professional in their approach and competence. The team were all a joy to be around, helpful with our many questions, and friendly. We have a lovely display cabinet/dresser built into an alcove in our kitchen but it had no lighting. I didn't want to see trunking/wiring in it but I wanted to see my special china. Jon from Datel came up with a solution involving spotlights inserted into the top of the cabinet and a remote control for putting on the lights. Its a kinetic remote control, so no batteries! It is so cool, its fabulous!

I contacted Datel with a problem and they were able to send out an electrician the next day. He arrived and quickly sorted out my problem within the agreed quote and gave me advice on another matter while he was here. I would definitely use Datel again.

We used Datel 3 years ago when we moved into a sadly neglected house in Torquay. Having had the house made safe we are now at the stage of improvements (rather than basic maintenance). We sent Datel a list of some 12 items including replacing the previous owners’ hideous light fittings in the lounge and study, new external lights, fitting surge protection, installing an extractor fan etc. There was also the 3 year EICR check to be done. Dave came to assess the work then sent us a quote. Datel’s electricians (Jon, their Qualified supervisor and Ryan, their apprentice) arrived on the day specified. They ran through the schedule of works and walked round the house with us, so that we all understood what was going to happen and it which order. They got on with the work, in a logical and sensible manner. We were particularly impressed with the way Jon mentored Ryan – he didn’t say ‘do it this way’, but instead he listened to Ryan’s views and discussed possibilities. The work was completed in a tidy and orderly fashioned. Both Jon and Ryan were cheerful and polite. We would always use Datel for our electrical work.

i needed a cable for a new swim spa, it had to go from consumer panel to outside isolation switch then hot tub. I had someone take a look, and they thought I would have to go via the bedroom then outside, my wife was not happy but Dave came around from Datel electrical, suggested going through the utility room, I asked for a quote, I accepted it and his boys were around the next week. They made a small hole in the utility room wall to get to cons panel. I expected a large hole, but it was small. After made good you would not know they had been there, ran the cable down in the cavity then outside through the wall, they put a junction box, from there ran the cable around to the back of house where they connected to a rotary isolator switch from there a cable to where the spa was going to be. You could not see the cable until it rose to the rotary switch. they were excellent, friendly, very professional, very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend them

This was follow up visit to complete recommendations following earlierinstallation of new heaters/fuse box. I like their online quote system which clearly details what they are going to do and how much it will cost. I asked for a quote for work they had recommended along with a quote to install a better quality and quieter bathroom extractor fan. Once online quote accepted, prompt call to book appointment. A couple of days before appointment an e mail to remind you, giving details of who will be attending and how long for, in both cases was a full day. As Ryan needed to be in and out of all rooms in a small flat I had no concerns going off to work and leaving him to it. Very pleased with both lots of completed work. Nick and David in the office very helpful. Staff are polite and courteous. Overall I am very happy and would recommend this company.

This hasn't been the easiest of project due to the timing but Datel have been outstanding. House was rewired on time and on budget with great communication at all times. Would highly recommend Dave, Jon and the team.

First experience of using this company. Unfortunately lock down delayed the planned works but the company kept me updated by phone and e-mail as to when they could proceed. Jon & Ryan arrived promptly who were very efficient and courteous. Their housework is immaculate and left everywhere clean and tidy after they had finished. Social distancing observed by all, which can be difficult when you live in small one bedroom flat, but worked out well. Am pleased with my new storage heater/radiator and a newly functioning light fitting in the hallway. Would recommend this company and would use again. Wanted an outside socket fitting. Quote was very reasonable and good advice given regarding its use. Guys turned up on the day, polite and considerate. Worked efficiently and left everything neat and tidy. Highly recommended.

Have used Datel several times for outside and inside lights, always good service, good communication and clear quotes. They do what they say they will and they fitted our light quickly and worked in a tidy manner, as well as being respectful for lockdown rules - would certainly recommend.

This is the second time that Datel have carried out work in my home. The first time they replaced all my storage heaters and fitted a bathroom mirror/towel rail. This time they they repositioned a radiator due to an error by the wardrobe fitters. Again they arrived on time, removed their shoes, did the work and cleaned up after themselves. This is a very professional company, they are helpful and make sure you are happy with what they intend to do before starting on the day. Polite, clean and adaptable. Good after service. I highly recommend this company, you would have to go a long way to find better.

Have used Datel on 4 or 5 occasions. They are always prompt, when initial enquiry made and David Wright comes to check what needs doing, quickly comes back with a quotation and feel he is now a good friend. Electricians do a brilliant job and clear up afterwards. When they arrive re-check what is to be done (this time kitchen wiring/plugs moved, lighting changed) and carried out work very efficiently, checking again if there were any issued they needed to raise with us, once finished let us check what they had done and asked if we were happy with everything or to raise anything we were not happy with. Have always been happy, never had a query yet. We are extremely pleased customers and happy to recommend this company.

Top class advise, clean, professional and friendly, easy to deal with and well established local company. Datel ran new extn cabling, lights, sockets and data cabling, new fuse board, rewire to existing property and external lights All tested to regs and paperwork completed for us to hand onto building control. We have used Datel Electrical for various work over the last 6 years. Our recent job was the installation of a Quantum Storage Heater. The electrician arrived at the agreed time and had confirmed when he was on his way. The workmanship was excellent for the wiring, fitting of contracting accessories and testing, and was the customer service during the visit. This included having all my questions answered, setting up the appliance as requested and a demonstration of how the appliance worked. The electrician took great care in all aspects of the job, removed the old Storage heater and cleaned the areas where the work was done. We fully recommend Datel and will continue to use them for all our electrical needs. Thank you very much.

We had been having trouble with our driveway lights for a while and decided to ask Datel for their recommendations. David Wright attended very promptly to see the problem for himself. He was very approachable and we agreed the best solution would be to replace all the lights in their entirety - some 14 in number. He sourced some very smart looking suitable replacements that would fit into the bespoke recesses in the pillars along the drive. These were fitted by Jon Sword and his colleague a couple of weeks later. They also modernised the switching mechanism that controls these lights within the house. We are delighted with the new arrangement which gives a better and more reliable illumination than we ever had before. The whole service was delivered in a most professional manner, swiftly and at reasonable cost. The guys were very neat and tidy and most friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to call Datel again if we have any other electrical issues around the house and would recommend them to others in the area looking for a reliable service.

Initial contact made Friday morning and survey of work to be done completed by late afternoon. Quote received Monday and work started and completed the following Tuesday week in one day and within price quoted. Had new electric cooker installed to replace a gas one which required new electric cabling so decided to replace old consumer board and have all circuits tested at same time. Engineer was friendly and kept us informed continuously on what was being done. Everywhere was left clean and tidy. We have no hesitation in recommending this trader.
