Datel have been marvellous. Solar batteries fitted on time and courteously but what made them stand out was the after sales. Some months later our system failed over the weekend but they were on site within 2 hours to address the problem, which took some sorting. Nick kept us well informed of progress and Jon was a polite, courteous and excellent electrician. Thank you

Arrived on time and were patient when I was not quite ready. Also very efficient at installation with minimal disruption and mess, they also fixed what needed to be done. They were also happy to do some additional work that I booked in with them that was not on the original booking. I liked that they recommended work to be done without any pressure, pricing was good compared to a company I used in the past. They also sorted out problems that the previous company should have done.

Installation of my new Quantum electric heating system was completed by Ryan and Dan. They always arrived on time, were polite and professional and did a great job. Very happy with all the work carried out and would strongly recommend Datel Electrical to others.

We had a short list of jobs which needed attention - including a broken 4 way wall socket box which was the power supply for my PCs. Sam & Joe were very polite, and explained what they were going to do to fix each problem. For example they put 4 sockets on the wall at desk height to alleviate the need for trailing leads. Sam also checked for surge protection as I had lost a PC to a lightning strike before we moved to Torquay. With regard to the fan in the garage which my husband wanted. It wasn't the right solution so they talked him round to getting a humidifier. They were tidy, quick, and efficient. We wouldn't willing trust anyone other than Datel with our electrical work.

From start to finish, I had confidence in this firm. Communications were frequent and I felt listened to. The engineer was prompt, extremely helpful and knowledgeable and did a great job, including insisting on him clearing up. I shall certainly use this firm again.

Half of house circuit had gone and was advised that it was going to be a long day with carpets and floorboards taken up. However the job was done so professionally with minimal disruption and each area vacuumed after making a mess and all furniture and floorboards put back in place. Asked Datel for help replacing old kitchen lights and a faulty bathroom fan. They advised on replacement light fittings, bulbs and fan. Work carried out as arranged and on time despite the awkward access to the fan. A problem with the fan was quickly sorted out. The new light fittings now look fantastic with no dark areas. When one of the bulbs supplied failed within a matter of weeks, they sourced a replacement for us, despite being told the bulb was no longer available. Thank you for your great customer service and your perseverance. I am happy to recommend this company as they are really helpful, gave us good advice and are happy to resolve any problems that arise.

We needed electrics installed in our new garden room. The service provided by Datel from start to finish was first-class. The quote was probably not the cheapest but Datel gave us confidence. We were provided with very good backup and reminders from the office and the job itself, carried out by Ryan, was excellent. Very happy to recommend Datel.

I had to call Datel as my smoke detectors decided to sleep in the early hours.I had an idea of was the backup battery but it was also mains linked and as I'm no sparky I needed help.David on the phone was most helpful and sympathetic to my needs. A young engineer came out within 40mins.I explained what I thought needed doing and he went in and within minutes he had sorted the alarm.They were out of date by at least 8 years.Sheltered to check the other one and I asked for a new one also.He didn't have one but went out to purchase one. Didn't get his name but he was very nice and explained the expiry date ,tested the alarms and disposed of the old ones. I thoroughly recommend these guys.Reasonably priced but worth it.I can now sleep safely and soundly.

Quoted for very simple hookup job in garden that would be one days labour for one person, and in the end turned out to be that. Quoted £420 which ended up being over twice the final price I paid an electrician 3 doors down from me. I am a which? Member and had confidence in this service, not now.

I called Datel out urgently for my elderly parents one of which has dementia. Ryan arrived within 30 minutes and very quickly diagnosed the problem, he was able to explain what was wrong and put a temporary fix in place which he proceeded to follow up with the next day. All costs were discussed upfront. I can highly recommend them as a very friendly efficient company who I will use in the future.

We had a dangerous faulty cable inside the wall causing arcing and loud bangs. We called Datel who hadn't anyone spare at such short notice, but called back, having got an electrician off his day off to come out to us. He was polite, calm and methodical, pinpointing the problem straightaway and effecting the repair without fuss, putting our minds at ease. He worked with very little disruption and hardly any mess at all. Thoroughly recommend this company, who are coming back to do more work at my property.

I have used Datel for a good number of years. It's very reassuring to have found an Electrical contractor who always delivers excellent customer service and workmanship. The electrician called at the time agreed and fitted new LED fittings in our garage and shed. The job was done very efficiently and the fittings were secured neatly. An earthing fault was detected and rectified at the same time. The LED products are great - neater and more efficient than the old fluorescent tubes. All the old fittings were taken away. Their pricing is good - for the excellent quality work and customer service they deliver as a team - of both electricians and admin support.

Bought a 50 year old house with trunking and DIY electrics everywhere, an unreachable consumer unit, lots of sockets not working, etc. Datel advised an update to solve all failed areas to modern specs, garage rewiring and investigation of any suspect areas - rather than a full rewire which was not needed. They started Monday, brought in two other electricians as needed, & finished on Friday. Having found additional issues, i.e. all outside security lights not working, aged unsafe extractors, inset smoke alarms years out of date, they advised most suitable new ones, with alternatives offered. At all times, they kept me involved in decision making, choices with costs where necessary. They worked tidily, cleared up every night, & turned up when they said they would and went over and above to leave me confident that my house now worked well and safely Their communication both from office and supervisor on site was excellent. All in all I can thoroughly recommend them.

We just need a double outside socket fitted. Underlying problems were found during the work, all fixed and checked by the cheerful, friendly electrician who patiently explained everything he was having to do. We've used Datel before which is why we went back to them for this small project. The quotation process was quick and competitive. Wouldn't hesitate to use Datel again.

Jon Sword and Ryan Dicks were excellent. They were very professional and friendly. We had a new consumer board installed to replace an old fuse box as well as a couple of other small jobs and the work they carried out was excellent. They were very thorough and honest. Highly recommended.

We have used Datel for a good number of years for varied electrical work. They recently installed 2 Dimplex Quantum heaters for us - to replace old faulty heaters . The additional wiring circuits/switches required were installed very neatly around existing decor. All old items were removed and they left everything clean and tidy. All my questions during the time with us, were answered fully and professionally re setting up/use of the new heaters. The quality of workmanship and customer service of the electricians and the Admin support team is excellent. It's great to have found 'Datel' that I can rely on for any electrical needs.

Ryan replaced light switches, exterior lights and spotlights to resolve problems with bulbs blowing and lights flickering. It was done to the agreed schedule and budget and very efficiently. The trader was incredibly personable, hugely efficient and all staff were so helpful, keeping us fully informed and maintained a brilliant sense of humour throughout. Even with unavoidable delays, the job was completed on time and very effectively.

They came when they said they would, looked at the job, booked in a time to do it, turned up when they said and Ryan was very polite and just got on with the jobs. No hassle or fuss. They did a good job, what I wanted and were helpful when there was the need to adapt the fitting in the ceiling lights. Oh how I wish all jobs I had done in the house were this professionally managed. Would definitely use again and no hesitation in recommending.

Came to install outside power sockets. Very thorough inspection of pre-existing wiring, including squeezing under the house for closer view! Polite and professional. We have just used Datel for the third time, and yet again they got it spot on. A fair quote, good workmanship and they tidied up well at the end. Good on COVID precautions. A good company, highly recommended.

An excellent standard of work done, the installation of oven, hob and extractor hood, along with additional plug sockets where required within the kitchen area, they thoroughly tested all circuits throughout, and all rubbish taken away and area cleaned before leaving. I would have no hesitation in using this company again or in recommending them to others.

This is the 4th time we have used this firm. Professional, tidy, polite and clean up after them. We will certainly use them again if needs be.

The first time we tried to use a brand new microwave oven, at 6pm, it caused the electrics to go out, leaving us in darkness and with no heating. I was unable to reset the electrics, and called a 24hr electricians to help. This first company rather let us down, twice revising the time they could attend, the last revision being two days later. We then called Datel, and their engineer arrived a hour later. He soon reset the electrics, and then checked the microwave, finding it to be faulty. He then contacted the supplier on our behalf to help us to get a refund of his fees. It took a long time to get to talk to the company, only to be passed on to another person, but he was very patient and helpful, and we were promised our refund. We will certainly use Datel if we should need help in the future.

From first contact through to completion of the job nothing was too much of a problem for the Datel Team. All of the team we came into contact with had a totally positive outlook on the job and were only too willing to discuss, adapt, modify, offer ideas and solutions to suit the final outcome. The turnaround for quotes was the best we've experienced from contractors made easier with an online approval system - very slick and very easy to use. The team were professional throughout, from the Sales team, the Office team to the Site team both in their work ethic and their appearance. They kept to budget, advised where "extras" would be incurred and maintained the schedule which was also weather dependant for the outdoor works. I had a faulty floodlight and a faulty bulkhead light. I sent photos of the problem lights and Datel suggested replacements and sent photos of the suggested replacements before quoting. After agreeing a price they sent an electrician within a few days and the work was done very quickly. This is the second time I have used Datel and I would use them again.

Datel carried out work to upgrade electrical storage heaters. From the first contact with them they were responsive, friendly, efficient and professional. After reviewing the heaters they were very clear about what needed to be done and why and provided a clear and comprehensive quote. They were able to carry out the work quickly - before it got too cold! The engineers who came to do the work were again friendly, efficient and professional and, importantly, worked in a covid-secure manner. Everything was left clean and tidy and they notified us quickly of a bit of follow-up work to be done and the date they could do it. I would certainly use Datel again and highly recommend them.

We had considerable electrical work by Datel late last year and found the company very professional in their approach and competence. We have a lovely display cabinet/dresser built into an alcove in our kitchen but it had no lighting. I didn't want to see trunking/wiring in it but I wanted to see my special china. Jon from Datel came up with a solution involving spotlights inserted into the top of the cabinet and a remote control for putting on the lights. Its a kinetic remote control, so no batteries! It is so cool, its fabulous!

I contacted Datel with a problem and they were able to send out an electrician the next day. He arrived and quickly sorted out my problem within the agreed quote and gave me advice on another matter while he was here. I would definitely use Datel again.

We used Datel 3 years ago when we moved into a sadly neglected house in Torquay. Having had the house made safe we are now at the stage of improvements (rather than basic maintenance). We sent Datel a list of some 12 items including replacing the previous owners’ hideous light fittings in the lounge and study, new external lights, fitting surge protection, installing an extractor fan etc. There was also the 3 year EICR check to be done. Dave came to assess the work then sent us a quote. Datel’s electricians (Jon, their Qualified supervisor and Ryan, their apprentice) arrived on the day specified. They ran through the schedule of works and walked round the house with us, so that we all understood what was going to happen and it which order. They got on with the work, in a logical and sensible manner. We were particularly impressed with the way Jon mentored Ryan – he didn’t say ‘do it this way’, but instead he listened to Ryan’s views and discussed possibilities. The work was completed in a tidy and orderly fashioned. Both Jon and Ryan were cheerful and polite. We would always use Datel for our electrical work.

i needed a cable for a new swim spa, it had to go from consumer panel to outside isolation switch then hot tub. I had someone take a look, and they thought I would have to go via the bedroom then outside, my wife was not happy but Dave came around from Datel electrical, suggested going through the utility room, I asked for a quote, I accepted it and his boys were around the next week. They made a small hole in the utility room wall to get to cons panel. I expected a large hole, but it was small. After made good you would not know they had been there, ran the cable down in the cavity then outside through the wall, they put a junction box, from there ran the cable around to the back of house where they connected to a rotary isolator switch from there a cable to where the spa was going to be. You could not see the cable until it rose to the rotary switch. they were excellent, friendly, very professional, very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend them

This was follow up visit to complete recommendations following earlierinstallation of new heaters/fuse box. I like their online quote system which clearly details what they are going to do and how much it will cost. I asked for a quote for work they had recommended along with a quote to install a better quality and quieter bathroom extractor fan. Once online quote accepted, prompt call to book appointment. A couple of days before appointment an e mail to remind you, giving details of who will be attending and how long for, in both cases was a full day. As Ryan needed to be in and out of all rooms in a small flat I had no concerns going off to work and leaving him to it. Very pleased with both lots of completed work. Nick and David in the office very helpful. Staff are polite and courteous. Overall I am very happy and would recommend this company.

This hasn't been the easiest of project due to the timing but Datel have been outstanding. House was rewired on time and on budget with great communication at all times. Would highly recommend Dave, Jon and the team.

First experience of using this company. Unfortunately lock down delayed the planned works but the company kept me updated by phone and e-mail as to when they could proceed. Jon & Ryan arrived promptly who were very efficient and courteous. Their housework is immaculate and left everywhere clean and tidy after they had finished. Social distancing observed by all, which can be difficult when you live in small one bedroom flat, but worked out well. Am pleased with my new storage heater/radiator and a newly functioning light fitting in the hallway. Would recommend this company and would use again. This is the second time that Datel have carried out work in my home. The first time they replaced all my storage heaters and fitted a bathroom mirror/towel rail. This time they they repositioned a radiator due to an error by the wardrobe fitters. Again they arrived on time, removed their shoes, did the work and cleaned up after themselves. This is a very professional company, they are helpful and make sure you are happy with what they intend to do before starting on the day. Polite, clean and adaptable. Good after service. Have used Datel on 4 or 5 occasions. They are always prompt, when initial enquiry made and David Wright comes to check what needs doing, quickly comes back with a quotation and feel he is now a good friend. Electricians do a brilliant job and clear up afterwards. When they arrive re-check what is to be done (this time kitchen wiring/plugs moved, lighting changed) and carried out work very efficiently, checking again if there were any issued they needed to raise with us, once finished let us check what they had done and asked if we were happy with everything or to raise anything we were not happy with. Have always been happy, never had a query yet. We are extremely pleased customers and happy to recommend this company.

We have used Datel Electrical for various work over the last 6 years. Our recent job was the installation of a Quantum Storage Heater. The electrician arrived at the agreed time and had confirmed when he was on his way. The workmanship was excellent for the wiring, fitting of contracting accessories and testing, and was the customer service during the visit. This included having all my questions answered, setting up the appliance as requested and a demonstration of how the appliance worked. The electrician took great care in all aspects of the job, removed the old Storage heater and cleaned the areas where the work was done. We had been having trouble with our driveway lights for a while and decided to ask Datel for their recommendations. David Wright attended very promptly to see the problem for himself. He was very approachable and we agreed the best solution would be to replace all the lights in their entirety - some 14 in number. He sourced some very smart looking suitable replacements that would fit into the bespoke recesses in the pillars along the drive. These were fitted by Jon Sword and his colleague a couple of weeks later. They also modernised the switching mechanism that controls these lights within the house. We are delighted with the new arrangement which gives a better and more reliable illumination than we ever had before. The whole service was delivered in a most professional manner, swiftly and at reasonable cost. The guys were very neat and tidy and most friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to call Datel again if we have any other electrical issues around the house and would recommend them to others in the area looking for a reliable service.

Initial contact made Friday morning and survey of work to be done completed by late afternoon. Quote received Monday and work started and completed the following Tuesday week in one day and within price quoted. Had new electric cooker installed to replace a gas one which required new electric cabling so decided to replace old consumer board and have all circuits tested at same time. Engineer was friendly and kept us informed continuously on what was being done. Everywhere was left clean and tidy. We have no hesitation in recommending this trader.

The guys who did the work were excellent. Fast, efficient, thorough, and they must be the politest workmen I have ever met. It was quite a big project - consumer units, down lighters, extractor fans, heater towel rails, outside lights etc. If anything wasn't right (eg one towel radiator) they sorted it out for us.
