I selected David Fitch Electrical Ltd solely on the reviews within which? Trusted Trader. Too many in business do not appreciate the importance of the initial contact telephone call from a prospective customer. Kathleen, who undertakes the administration on David's behalf also has a knowledge of the procedures involved. As a result of a helpful, initial telephone contact, I was given advice by Kathleen on the best route to follow which was also the lowest cost and also an appointment made for the next evening as the job was being fitted in towards the end of David's working day - although I believe the company does operate 24 hours if required. I had a house on the market and the Home Report had found an "At Risk" label on the electrical consumer unit, which I thought must have been historic as I attend to any repairs when advised. I wanted an investigation by a registered electrician and clarification prior to the final Home Report and I was advised by Kathleen, the Domestic Visual Condition Report, the basic investigation, would suffice. David called as arranged and I found him pleasant in manner and methodical in his approach. The "At Risk" label had been attached due to larger gaps where the cables enter the consumer unit as fingers could possibly be inserted. David fixed the problem, provided a Report to the satisfaction of the Home Report surveyor who removed the "At Risk" qualification. All was carried out within the first hour and only the hour charge was made.

First time I've used David and I will be using him for any electrical from now on. 1st visit he tried to fix a faulty bathroom light but unfortunately it turned out it was beyond repair. David returned and fitted a new light under his guarantee. The light works perfectly. Punctuality was outstanding as was care and attention. Appointment system managed by Kathleen is very efficient and reliable. David Wilson

So I have been a customer of David’s for over 4 years now. I have used him many times from fitting smoke alarms to my rented flats to rewiring and installing a new fuse box to my own house. He never fails to deliver a quality job. His wife Kathleen does the bookings etc and thank goodness as he is always running from job to job yet is never late. I was shocked to read the poor review from “John wilson” below and nosiness got the better of me so I called Trading standards and asked about any complaint lodged ... they have never heard of any complaint and in fact advised that bogus reviews could lead to civil prosecution. My instincts told me this was a bogus review as have never been unimpressed with David’s work or commitment to safety!

I got David along to look at a problem with the earthing of my house which had been drawn to my attention when I had somebody in to fix a problem with my boiler. David showed up bang on time, looked at the problem and told me that this was really something the network supplier should sort and recommended having them do it. He said if I couldn't get them to fix it, he could do something but it probably wouldn't be as effective. He then said he would do me a quote. I told him I actually had the network people coming to do some other work (preparation for a Smart Meter) and he explained to me what I had to tell them. As he left I asked what the call out charge would be and he said "zero" he was just there to do a quote. I was really impressed that he both did the visit for free and that he was more interested in getting the best job done for me, than getting a job for himself. I'll definitely get him back in if I need more work done in the future. While he didn't do the work, I have rated him 5* for quality. He knew what needed done and ensured that I had the information available to allow me to get it done.

Being a manager in a large lettings company and working solely within maintenance department, I can say with absolute certainty that the workmanship and service from David and all associated with David Fitch electrical has been second to none. I have worked closely with this company for almost 2 years and am never disappointed. The team are always eager to help and co-operate under stressful circumstances. I have found it impossible to find an electrical company who can met these standards. A pleasure to work with and highly recommended. Thanks guys

I called David after pinging a wire with a drill (stupid, I know). It was out of hours but he answered straight away and spent five mins talking me through various checks to make sure there was no urgent issue. He came out the next day, when he said he would, and repaired the wire. All for £34. Very impressed.
