We've now hired David for 3 jobs since we moved into our victorian terrace house. He is a true craftsman and knows his trade inside out. The standard of the finish is impeccable. During the job he is very neat and tidies up around the workspace to keep disruption in the house to a minimum. I have no hesitation in recommending him as a trusted trader. We'll definitely be asking to do further work on the house again.

David first decorated my house in 2002 and I thought he did such a good job that he's the only decorator that I've used since. He has recently redecorated my kitchen, bathroom, hall, stairs and landing and, as ever, his work is of a very high standard and the finish is immaculate. David is extremely reliable - always arrives on time and completes the job within the timescale he's quoted for. He is methodical in his work and is tidy and well organised. He keeps me up to date with what he's planning to do each day and is a great source of advice on colours and design - and is always up to date with the latest products. David is friendly and courteous and delivers a great service with the minimum of disruption. I highly recommend him.

David painted the interior of our house a couple years ago. David was very engaged and gave good advice on choices of paint brand and colour combinations. David was particularly knowledgeable in this area and clearly cared that we got the finish we wanted. David works methodically and quietly and delivers a good job. We have invited David round for subsequent work and kindly offered to paint our bathroom ceiling at no extra cost. David will be the first person we call for any future work.

David is an old-fashioned craftsman who won't rest until the job is perfect. Totally reliable, painstaking attention to preparation (surely the secret of a good paint job?) full of helpful advice and ideas that might not have occurred to the customer, and eminently reasonably priced. He's done all our bedrooms and will be invited back to do the hall and downstairs in due course. Originally recommended by our architect, otherwise we probably wouldn't have searched so far afield (we're North London) -but very glad that we did!

David recently painted our hall and we are very pleased with the result. He worked in the house alone while we were on holiday and left everything pristine for our return - apart from the change in paint colour we wouldn't have known he'd been there. . His quotation was highly competitive and he completed the work ahead of time. We would be happy to employ him again, and to recommend him to others.

David recently painted our hallway and main bedroom and did a fantastic job. We got 3 quotes and his was the most reasonable. He was quick to respond and provided a quote fully costed with all materials included. He was tidy and punctual throughout, provided useful advice and the finish is excellent. He finished the work a day early and did a couple of extra bits and pieces which was really appreciated. Would recommend David highly and would certainly use him again.

David spent two weeks in early January redecorating my one bedroom flat. He was an excellent find - started early, always punctual, explained everything clearly and was very patient and offered helpful suggestions along the way as to what needed doing and what paint would be best. He took a lot of care to prepare the walls and skirting boards before painting them and I have been very pleased with the finish. He also went above and beyond and offered to help with a couple of extra jobs for no additional labour costs. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
