Dave fitted additional switches and light fittings in our garage for us having been referred to him by one of his previous clients. From the outset, the entire customer journey was an absolute pleasure. The job itself was completed within the agreed time scale and to a very high standard. Whilst here, he also advised us on future work we needed for our kitchen and subsequently provided quotes for the work the same day. He was punctual, friendly, efficient and highly professional which is everything and more we expected from him. Dave came to install the electrics for our new orangery and to run a complete check and overhaul of the rest of the house, including changing the consumer unit. He was prompt, friendly and very professional and his work was clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made suggestions and advised us in a way that was most helpful. We have been absolutely delighted with everything he has done and we would not hesitate in using him again or recommending him to anyone.

We contacted David after moving to the area in 2016 to have our wiring inspected after buying a property. His fair pricing, friendly demeanor and ability to keep us informed of what we need to be safe/legal as well as extra frills meant we've called him back multiple times now to address our electrical needs. So was so confident with this example of their work that I immediately engaged them to re-certify and wire my main house lighting circuits. Day and Knight carried out an upgrade of the electrics including replacement of the consumer unit, partial rewire and upgrade of the earthing system. We became aware of them when they carried out extensive works at a property nearby. We noted that they were NIC EIC registered and further enquiry established they were Which? recommended traders. We first utilised their services for a full electrical survey on a property we were purchasing and were impressed with the quality of their report. Following completion of purchase we asked them to proceed with the upgrade on the basis of their detailed estimate. We found Dave, the principal, to be very professional, thorough and always prepared to discuss and explain his work and our suggestions/requests. The work was completed in two days and now presents a tidy appearance compared to the situation we found on purchase. Also we are now confident of the safety of the installation. We have no hesitation in recommending Day and Knight.

I have used Dave Knight for electrical installations on my house extension where I have been very happy with his work and professional attitude and very reasonable bills. I returned from holiday on Saturday to find that while away my house had been hit by a lightning strike which had disabled my alarm and stopped my oven and hob working. I contacted Dave by text on Sunday and he came the next day being Monday and tested the appliances and discovered that my house had no surge protection device and that the burglar alarm had burnt out and the power surge had disabled my oven and hob. He checked the connections were safe so I could get the kitchen supplier to inspect the oven and hob. The next day being Tuesday Dave installed a surge protection device. This is fantastic service from Dave. His bills for this emergency work were very reasonable. I am continuing to use Dave for other electrical works on my house as my extension is yet to be completed. It is refreshing to use a professional electrician who clearly enjoys his work and helping customers with their electrical problems. I recommend Dave to anyone who needs assistance with their electrical problems.
